We are still in negotiations regarding a house and one of the issues I'm seeking information from the sellers about is access to the sewer line. They have stated that the house does not have a clean-out access point to the main sewer. At our first viewing, they stated that access for maintenance could be gained through one of the floor drains (such as the one in the basement kitchen). To me this doesn't seem right.

Is it possible that there is no access point? Where would be the most logical place for access to the main line? The home is a Chicago 1960's ranch.

A tenant in my condo building is storing their furniture in the basement. Their landlord asked me to place a sign as a reminder (she's pretty stubborn). I typed it in google translate and the returning text was: Przechowywać nieruchomości z powierzchni wspólnych.

Is this correct? Could you offer a better suggestion?

There is a small unit attached to my water heater; an LED light on it is blinking. What does this mean? I don't know much about home maintenance issues and was hoping someone could help be out before I'd have to hire someone just to take a look at it.

The neighbors downstairs are completely unreasonable. They let their dog bark for hours on end. There is no chance of them using a anti-barking collar or a device in their unit. Do you know of any anti-barking devices that would be strong enough to work through the floor or their door (if I could hide it in the hallway)?
