  • Any ideas on what this odor could be? It's on a coworker.?

I have a coworker who has the most incredibly horrible odor. It is so strong some days that people 10-15 feet away from her can't deal with it, and if you walk into an empty room you can tell if she's been in it or not. It's kind of a chemical smell that defies description, but it may be somewhat of an ammonia odor but it is not urine kind of smell -- it's more "chemically." Today she stood close to me while talking and it actually made my eyes water and gave me a headache. Another coworker told me that the previous day the odor made him nauseous. I need to bring it a manager's attention, but does anyone have any ideas? She appears clean, and it's not a hygiene issue.

  • What are early signs of OCD in kids?

My daughter just turned 11, and for years has done things like stare at people for long periods of time, and she hums almost all the time. When we point out that she's humming, she is completely unaware. We've thought it was just her, but recently she's become obsessed with thinking that she's accidentally eaten strange things. For example, one night she was in hysterics because she lost a paperclip off her homework and was convinced she'd swallowed it. And just now she was putting on her shoes and she was afraid that a rock had been caught in the tread and she'd swallowed it. She said, "I know it sounds crazy, but I can just feel it in my throat." Does this make sense to anyone?

  • If you make jewelry or do crafts, I really need some help.?

My 17-year-old daughter has a simple bracelet that's made of embroidery floss that's been braided. It's a simple little thing like you see teenagers wear all the time. Unfortunately, the friend who gave her this bracelet died, and this bracelet is very special to my daughter. She has worn it almost daily for two years now, and as you can guess, the yarn now is just falling apart. Does anyone have any ideas for what we can do to keep this bracelet wearable?

  • Is there a website available that gives current figures on album sales?

I'm not looking for how many sold THIS WEEK, which I can find several places. I'm looking for a site that keeps cumulative data on total copies sold. Any ideas?

  • What is involved in recording an album?

I always read interviews with musicians who -- when asked how a new album is coming -- say they are mixing, or they are Pro-tooling, etc. I never understand what they're talking about. (Especially in relation to how close a new album is in being completed.) Can someone give me a quick tutorial on the steps to getting an album recorded?

  • Should I tip my hairdresser for this?

My daughter and I have gone to the same hairdresser for 5 years, and we absolutely love her. A couple of weeks ago, my 16-year-old had her hair colored for the first time. Our hairdresser told us afterwards that she didn't leave the color on long because she couldn't tell how comfortable my daughter was with the color, so that it might fade out in a week's time. She said if it did, to call her and she'd redo it free. So I paid her and tipped her. Well, it faded out in a few days so our hairdresser worked her back in to the schedule and completely re-did her hair. It looks great. Anyway, should I have tipped her for the second time? She does a great job and I appreciate her being so careful. But I just didn't think about tipping her, and now I'm wondering if I should have. I did offer to pay but she wouldn't take anything.

  • What is the proper way to care for an antique leather-bound book?

I recently found my great-grandfather's leather-bound Bible. The leather is very dry and cracking. Large pieces of leather have flaked off. Does anyone know what I can do to preserve what's left?

  • Can anyone suggest some good Christian female singers I might like?

I just realized all my Christian cds are guys, except for BarlowGirl. I'm looking for someone with an acoustic feel to it -- kinda like a Christian Michelle Branch. But not acoustic with a folk music feel to it.

    Any ideas?

  • Do English soccer fans really care that Beckham is moving to the U.S.?

I'm just curious, because where I live in the United States soccer just isn't that big of a deal so I don't know much about it. I know Beckham was let go from his last team . . . so is he a fading has-been who's grasping at the only team that will take him, or is he still a huge talent that the LA team is lucky to get?

  • What does the executor of a will actually do?

Over the holidays my parents informed me that I was to be executor of their wills because they think my brothers will fight if one of them is named executor (I'm the only daughter). So what exactly will I have to do? They have always farmed so they own almost 1,000 acres, plus farm equipment and livestock. Am I going to have to deal with all of that?

  • What songs from The Wreckers should I buy from I-Tunes?

I'm a Michelle Branch fan, but I don't really like country music or ever listen to country radio stations. Therefore, I don't know much about The Wreckers. I don't want to invest in the entire cd, because I know some of it is pretty country-sounding. Can anyone recommend any songs off of The Wreckers that are reminiscent of Hotel Paper or Spirit Room?

  • Does anyone here remember Schoolhouse Rock?

If so, what was your favorite song? I've had the Preamble to the Constitution song stuck in my head all day. "We the people, in order to form a perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquilit-eeeee."

  • What are some office pranks you've seen pulled on coworkers?

On The Office (US version) Jim is always doing things to Dwight, like sending him faxes from "Future Dwight," or putting his office supplies in Jello. One time at my office someone put a fart machine under a chair in a conference room and would make it fart quietly during meetings, which would make the person in the chair look guilty and everyone else would have to act like they didn't hear anything.

What are some things you've seen?

  • Does anyone else remember this old SNL skit?

It was Martin Short and his "brother," and they were preparing to go to the Olympics in synchronized swimming. Then they said there wasn't a men's event in the upcoming Olympics, and one of them said, "Which is good, because frankly, we could use the time." And Martin Short couldn't swim so he wore a lifevest or something?? Anyone else remember this?

  • Did Target really pay K-Fed "a ton of money" to be in their commercial?

In a recent People magazine there was a screen shot of K-Fed in an old Target commercial. He was just one of the background dancers in a fake wedding scene, and he was one of the guys holding a plunger (yep, like to unclog toilets with) for the newlyweds to walk under. In the caption he said that Target had to "talk him into doing" the ad, and that they paid him "a bunch of money." But wasn't this back before he was Mr. Spears? If he'd done this after Britney, wouldn't we have known about it? Who thinks he's lying, and that he really was in the ad just like every other person trying to break into show-biz and was probably ecstatic to get a job?
