I bought a Samsung LN T4042 TV today from Fry's for 1,099 + Tax. I was not able to bring it home today and would be picking it tomorrow from Fry's electronics. I came back and the same TV is being sold on Fry's website for 997 + Tax. Is there anything I can tell them while picking the TV up which could help me save those 100 dollars?

I am a music composer. I am looking for some reliable recording gadget which could record good quality of music when I am sitting with my writer mostly at an outdoor location. I have a table with abot 85,000,000 records. I am trying to find a unique combination of fields(there are around 55 fields). I am doing a hit and trial method by using query:-

SELECT DISCRETE ROW1, ROW2, ROW3, ROW4 FROM TABLE1;

then I do a row count and compare it to the toal number of rows in the table. Is there any other way of doing this.

If not why is my query taking so long to run especially when I do a record count.

I am new to UNIX and want to practice some commands on my laptop but the problem being that it does not have a UNIX environment. Is it possible to do so with CYGWIN if not could you please suggest some alternate method.

I have just set up a wireless network at my place. I have taken the following measures to ensure the security:-

- Disabling SSID broadcast.

- MAC Identification.

- WEP key security.

I just checked the log and I am receiving continious Pings of Death. Though the router is dropping the packets but still someone is trying to do something bad to my computer and he knows the IP address of the machine. What should I do?

Today morning when I tried to open my car from driver's side it did not open as the key was turning free. So I had to open it from the other side. Just now as I was examining the driver side lock the whole socket came out with the key, leaving an empty space. I am confused what to do and how to leave my car like this for the night (though it has a security system but sill). I have a 1993 VW jetta 4 door.

When I turn it on it gives me the message do you wantto turn in safe mode and all that when I start it the it shows you all what it is loading and then at one of the sytem32 files it stops and turns off. This is regarding a speeding ticket.

It runs fine as such but except for what I mentioned. The problem is most prominent when I change gears and try to accelerate fast, but if I take it easy it runs fine. I am thinking that it might be the spark plugs or the fuel filter as they were changed at 75000 and now it's 125000 miles. Please help me out.
