What classic album offered free land with a coupon on the album sleeve?
There was a classic rock album (vinyl of course) that had a sleeve with various information and ads on it. In addition, there was a coupon for a very tiny parcel of land to the buyers who sent the coupon in.

1 AnswerOther - Music1 decade agoWhen most people swear why do they usually use the Christian deity?
Why is it that only the Christian deity is used as a swear-word and no other religion's god? Even many nonreligious people or people of other religions do this.
23 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy do non-Christians feel it's their duty to tell Christians how to be better Christians?
There's a lot of bashing going on, but I'm just interested in finding out why people (specifically non-Christians) like to tell us how to be what they perceive to be better Christians.
I've never heard a Christian telling an Atheist how to be a better Atheist, a Muslim how to be a better Muslim, or any other belief.
I also believe that you should believe whatever you want - God isn't going to force you to believe in Him and I wouldn't if I could.
But, I also believe there are consequences for that decision.

You go far across the ocean,
In a war that's not your own.
And, while you're winning theirs,
You're gonna lose the one back home.
Do you really think the only way,
To bring about peace,
Is to sacrifice your children,
And, kill all your enemies?
And, your money says "In God We Trust"
But, it's against the law to pray in school.
You say, "We beat the Russians to the moon,"
But, I say, "You starved your children to do it."
3 AnswersMusic1 decade agoHow do you know that you're free?
Living in America, many times we just accept that we are a free nation, because we've heard it all our lives. Over the past ten years I've seen many of our freedoms slowly taken away in the name of security and many people are OK with this because they think they can sleep at night without fear of being taken over by some radical group. And yet, some would say that we ARE being taken over by some radical groups - just more slowly and less violently than feared - the theory of gradualism. If you put a frog in a pot of hot water, it will struggle to get out and die trying. But, if you put a frog in a pot of cool water and slowly turn the heat up - it will slowly boil to death - without a struggle.

2 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoWhat's more unAmerican; saying something that is unpopular, or condemning someone for saying it?
I've noticed that in this forum if you say something people can agree with, people tend to be civil. But, if you say something that goes against the norm, you're told you're sick and should basically leave the country, when exercising your 1st Amendment rights are as American as you can get
12 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoHas the Constitution been suspended in order to enact the Patriot Act?
It seems that the Patriot Act in its endeavor to protect us from terrorism has given the Government power not granted by the Constitution, and in some cases appears to have placed a limit on freedoms granted by the Bill Of Rights.
