  • is a separately purchased MacBook charger covered by warranty?

I purchased a new MacBook charger last month after my old one broke after 3 years and 5 months. however, even though my current charger is only a month old, it is broken already! I purchased it from apple.com but do not recall an extended warranty being available for the charger. since I purchased it separately from the MacBook, would it be covered by a warranty?

  • What's wrong with my MacBook charger?

today it suddenly stopped working. before, I was trying to plug it in different outlets, using both the regular plug and the extension cord. the light on the jack was turning on for just a second, then turned off. now it's just not working at all. I bought this charger just last month and I really hope it's not broken! help.

  • is egg donation a good option for me?

I've been seeing advertisements on egg donation and how they pay donors thousands of dollars. I could really use some money to pay for school, but I don't want to donate my eggs if it would be too dangerous for my health. I have vaginitis so I'm hoping that this wouldn't cause me any complications. I also do not plan to ever have any children, in case infertility in the future would be an issue.

  • what kinds of accounts generate the highest interest?

I currently have a savings account with both Chase (about $1000) and TD Bank (about $700). I get very little interest with both, though I'm not sure of the exact rate. I'd like to invest my money elsewhere, where it could accumulate interest at a higher rate. I don't know too much about the different types of bank accounts. all I know about is checking (which generates no interest), savings, and CD. would any types of accounts generate more than 2% interest yearly, or is that a thing of the past? I plan not to touch this money until mid-2012, when I graduate from college and have to start paying off student loans.

  • Is this normal after wearing a retainer again after a few years?

I wore braces from ages 11 to 13, and then wore my retainer after getting my braces off, but stopped around age 18-19. now I am 21 years old and I am wearing my retainer again. my orthodontist adjusted it a little because my teeth apparently had moved a bit. I have been wearing my retainer for a few days and it really hurts on the bottom. I find that the teeth/gums on the right side in the back feel like they're being pushed outwards. when I examined the area that hurts, there are one or two white indentations. is that exposed bone from the teeth?! I'm worried, and it quite hurts.

  • AIM/iChat/Adium not letting me log in with my AIM sn! :(?

for the last 24 hours or so I haven't been able to log into any programs using my AIM screen name. I have the program AIM installed, and also Adium and iChat (I'm on a Mac), which can be used to log on AIM also. I can't log in using any of these programs. I can use my AIM screen name on meebo.com's messenger but that's it. on Adium I can log in with my MSN and Yahoo names, so it's just AIM that's the problem, apparently.

    can someone help? :(

  • Help me choose a laptop computer.?

I am going to be a freshman in college and I need a laptop that I can carry around to all of my classes. Therefore, it should be something not too big or heavy, with good battery life, but with at least 1gb of RAM so it will be fast enough. I'm not sure what brand I should buy, or what operating system is best. I have heard that the Apple iBook has great technical support and is pretty virus-resistant, but it is quite expensive. Also, I am primarily a Windows user so perhaps a PC would be best for me.

  • what should I do with my obsolete computer?

I have an HP Pavilion 4400 notebook that I purchased in 2003. over the past year I have noticed that it has been performing very slowly. today I tried purchasing additional RAM for it but the salesperson said that my computer cannot handle any more RAM than it already has, and that my laptop is obsolete.

what should I do with it then? I don't want to throw away the computer and I certainly don't want to leave it in my house to gather dust. should I recycle or donate it? and are there any places in the central New Jersey area where I can do so?

  • help. I'm athletically challenged.?

starting this year I suddenly became interested in playing sports. but I'm not really good at any, plus I'm overweight =X can anyone give me some ideas of what kind of sports are easy to pick up?

I am interested in soccer, volleyball, tennis, bowling, golf, softball... I tried playing soccer this summer and it made me extremely tired. I'm ok at volleyball but very inconsistent. and in tennis I always hit the ball way too hard. but if I could learn how to play them well that would be awesome.

  • safe remedies for headaches?

lately I've been getting a lot of headaches. probably because it's been rainy lately...

I don't wanna take ibuprofen every time I have a headache because I'm afraid I could become dependent or something. can anyone recommend a non-habit-forming treatment?
