  • Does anyone know where I can find out more about Danish artist Sikker Hansen and the value of his art?

I have 3 original charcoals by Danish artist Sikker Hansen and I cannot find anything on-line that might tell me if they have any value? I inherited them from my Grandfather and one of his friends really wants them. I don't want to just give them to him if they have any value. I tried checking on artnet.com, but you have to subscribe and pay to get any info. Does anyone know anything, even a guesstimate, that might help me out.

    Thanks!

  • Does BMW have a life time warranty for seat belts?

The latch mechanism in the driver seat belt receptacle in my 2001 330i (BMW) is not working. I checked to see if anything was jammed in it and there wasn't. The button doesn't spring up at all. Someone said that seat belts have life time warranties? Is that true for BMW? The only thing I could find in my warranty manual about it was for Kansas and I'm in California. If BMW doesn't have life time coverage, where could I find an inexpensive replacement seat belt receptacle? If I have to pay for one, I'd rather not go to the BMW dealership...they're way too expensive.

    Thanks.

  • Why won't my bathroom flourscent lights work?

My bathroom fluorescent lights won't turn on at all. The funny thing is that it is not a single fixture. There are two SEPARATE single bulb units, each one plugged into the outlet, but controlled by a single switch. That's why I'm a little confused. It seems unlikely that both starters or ballasts are out, right? I've changed the bulbs, replaced the switch and tested the outlet to make sure it was working and still nothing. Is the problem in the connection or the two units themselves? I'd just replace both units if I knew that's where the issue was, but if it's the connection, buying new units would be a waste of time and money. Please help!!

  • What is the best way to get teaching credentials if I already have a BA and don't want to get Masters?

I'm interested in getting my credentials, but I already have my BA in Communications and don't really want to get into a Masters program at this time. I'm in Southern California. Also, does anyone have any suggestions about where the best programs are in SoCal (what schools).

    Thanks,

  • How can you become a "green" expert?

I have a friend who has a pretty successful personal assistant business, where she manages people homes, whether it be moving them or handling and supervising overall upkeep of clients homes. I suggested to her that she should become a green consultant and add the service of going in and making people's home more eco-friendly. I think it'd be great for her business. How does one go about doing that? What and/or where can one go to learn about making home more green? Does one need a certification for that? If so, how do you go about getting it?

    Thanks for all your help!

  • My washer is leaking from the bottom when I set my load levels at medium or higher, what's the problem?

I have a Maytag Dependable Care top loading washing machine that is fairly new. It came from a model home so it has hardly been used. The problem is that every time I run a medium or higher load, water starts leaking from the bottom..a lot of water!! I think it starts leaking when it's filling and continues through the cycle. The leak seems to stop if I turn the machine off, even if there is water still in the tub. The funny thing is that it doesn't seem to leak when I run small or extra small loads. When I took off the front panel, it looked like the water was coming from the center part below the tub (the mounting stem and boot seal?). But if that's the problem, why doesn't leak with any size load? Like I said before, the machine is practically new and it seems a shame just to get rid of it. Please, can anyone shed some light on this for me and tell me how I can fix it? Thanks.

  • What is the best weight-loss program that doesn't cost small fortune to do?

Let me start this by saying that I understand that the best way to lose weight is through sensible eating and regular exercise, but for me, it's hard enough just staying on a diet let alone trying to calculate every single calorie that I eat and burn. There are so many little things you can miss when counting your own caloric intake.

I'm the type of person that needs structure, especially when it comes to losing weight. If I have to report to someone on a daily or weekly basis, it's easier to stay focused and motivated.

I HAVE to lose 40-50 pounds and I need help. The problem is that I'm not wealthy. I went to Lindora and loved their program. I was so excited! For the first time, I saw a light at the end of the tunnel...that was until they told me that it would cost me $1800 per session and I' would need two sessions to get to my goal weight. Light gone. Is there a weight-loss program that is good and affordable? I'm finding they are either or but not both. Help, please!!

  • How can you tell if the CHP (California) are using LIDAR to clock your speed?

What exactly is LIDAR and how does it work? Is there any special equipment that is used in this process. Is it possible that a cop can say he clocked you using LIDAR when actually he did it by visual guesstimation? If so, how can you prove this in court? Thanks.

  • How does the radar system work in CHP cars? Can a cop clock you for speeding if he is not in the car?

I got a speeding ticket last week for going 83 in a 65. Here's the thing....the officer on the side of the highway and was outside his car (walking around the front of his car from the passenger side to the drivers side) when I came upon him. He never got into his car, instead me jumped up and down on the side of the road and motioned me to pull over. I asked him how fast he thought I was going and he said 83. I told him I was going 70mph. On my ticket it said a box was checked that said RADAR/PATROL CAR NO. He wrote a six digit number and 973ft. What does that mean? Is it possible to get a radar read w/o a gun or being in the car behind you. Can I fight this? Thanks.

  • Printing problems with PDF file and Safari?

When I open it with Adobe and try to print, it's the same way...all that's there is 1/2 page and nothing else. I updated Adobe Reader, but I don't know what else to do.

    Thanks.
