In the history of Humanity, has the general population's speaking word-rate (words per minute) sped up? Seeing as how humans mimic the TV . ?
Seeing as how we mimic things such as colonialism and TV, i.e: "that's lit bruv" or "booyashaka."
And TV Corporations might have found it important for profit , to efficiently fit a number of words in per minute of broadcasting.
It is known that the Media Corporations even changed the news content since the 1920s from %95 good news, to the modern %90 bad news, because sales increased by a fraction when the news was negative.
So why wouldn't the Radio and Television News want to fit in more words per minute, if it means more advertizement time and more profit. So now people speak at the speed of TV actors and news presenters. (the News reader isn't faster than colloquial speech.)
But perhaps 200 years ago, before europeans left europe , the people around the world spoke slowly and that is why people repeat words nowadays to catch a break and let their brain think between words?

Media & Journalism1 year agowhat is the word to describe the liberation of women after the 'feminist revolution'? not emancipation ? not liberation?
European 1700 - 1900A.D. women, who were increasingly liberated from Victorian era concepts of male and female spheres of life. underwent something akin to restoring equality between western(egyptian etc) men and women.
due in part to the lack of morality afforded to women by the male-dominated society (rape etc) , the increasing participation of women in Religion via the Christian missions overseas (to non Victorian- societies (1820s onwards), and then to sufferage movement for letting women vote and participate in politics and economy.
emancipation seems like a slavery-word,
and liberation seems like a international-politics word.
is there a proper word which educated people use to describe what happened to women?
thanks, (and apologies to the women reading this for showing how cruel men (in certain societies) have been)
