  • Shooting, Throbbing Pain In Right Thigh Mainly When Lying or Sitting.?

For the past week or so now I have had a throbbing pain in my right thigh. The pain is pretty much all over. It is the worst on the front of my thigh and around my knee. I have noticed that the pain is worse when lying in bed or sitting in my recliner. If I am up and walking around, the pain does not seem too severe except for this morning as it is pretty much killing me. All last night my thigh and knee were getting shooting sharp pains along with the constant throbbing pains.

A little history about me...I am obese, diabetic and have hypertension. I have never had any hip or joint problems.

If anyone out there can give me an idea of what's going on I would much appreciate it. Also, should I first go to my chiropractor, family doctor or what?

  • Shared folder with XP and Vista!! Help!!?

I am working out of a home office and we are set up on a wireless network. We have four different computers on the same network; two are running Windows XP while the other two are running Windows Vista. We have a shared folder set up on one of the computers running XP and we are able to access this folder on the other XP computer.

Now for the problem we are having. The two computers running Vista only show the shared folder under the Networks about 25% of the time. I can access the shared folder from one of the Vista computers and then close out the Network window, re-open the Networks window and the shared folder will not show up.

I am not for sure what is causing this so can someone out there please explain how to properly set up a shared folder where XP and Vista can both access without a problem as this is becoming a little irritating.

    Thanks.

  • Is it possible to be allergic to only big dogs?

I have a small Yorkie and I am just fine with him. My boss has a large New Foundland that she brings into the office EVERYDAY. This dog is more like a bear than anything else. Anyhow, everyday when I come in I am fine until she shows up with her dog. My eyes begin watering and I sneeze and sniffle all day. Is it possible to be allergic to one type of dog but not the other?

  • If you are a W-2 employee, is everything over 40 hours a week considered overtime?

I work for my father-in-law's independent adjusting firm. I basically sit at a desk and do whatever he and my over supervisors tell me. I was doing this job as a 10-99 employee until just recently. They decided for tax purposes to make all of the employees in the office a W-2 employee. I work 60 hours a week. Should the additional 20 hours over the regular 40 be considered overtime? I am asking because my paycheck for two weeks (120 hours) is only around $1,000. Should I ask about the overtime? Is it a set law anywhere?

  • Why does my air handler ice over?

I have central heat and air in my condo and for the past few weeks my air handler (on the interior) has been icing over and freezing up. I end up having to switch the unit to "Off" and the fan to "On" to get it to thaw out. Afterwards, it will blow cool and everything will be fine.

I wake up in the morning hot as hell and the air handler has once again froze up. I don't crank the a/c, I just turn it down until it clicks on. I have been setting it at about 72 degrees but normally I like to keep my condo cool at 68 degrees.

Before I left this morning for work, I turned the a/c up to 80 and left it at that. It got up to approximately 82 degrees today but when I got home the damn thing was froze up again.

Anyone have any suggestions? Simple fix or do I need to call a tech? By the way, the filter is new and for the past couple of days I have even left the filter off hoping to keep any air flow restriction down.

  • 2002 GMC Envoy XL dies with A/C or Heater on. What's the deal?

I have a 2002 GMC Envoy XL with the Vortec 6 cylinder. About a month or so ago, our battery went bad and had to get a new one. After putting the new battery in, it would stall out and die when idling with the A/C or heater going. If we were moving along it was fine, but the second we would stop it would die. It runs just fine without the A/C or heater on; idling or driving.

At first I thought the alternator was bad so I have replaced that and it is still doing it. Does anyone have any ideas?

  • Our office is needing everyone to have access to files, any ideas?

I work in a small office of 5 people. Right now anytime we need access to documents that one person has, we have to go to that specific person with a flash drive and snag whatever it is we need from their computer. We would like to set it up to where we can keep all of our documents in a centralized place to where we can all have access to them. We have an online shared folder through GoDaddy which is dog-slow so we are looking for some type of server (or anything really) where we can keep all of our files, be able to access them when we want and not have to wait for a webpage to load. Any suggestions?

  • I just found out that a small claims suit has been filed against me in Oklahoma. What should I do?

Ok, so I have been living in Florida now for the past year and a half. I got bored tonight and decided to check my name in the On Demand Court Records for my county that I lived in when I was living in Oklahoma. I found that on Feb. 5th, my old bank filed a small claims suit against me; $1 to $1500. I am wondering on how I should go about this. It is telling me that the hearing is for March 2nd and there is no way I am traveling to Oklahoma for this. Who should I contact? My old bank or the court? Can a warrant be placed for my arrest? Someone out there has to have some legal advice for me. Thanks.

  • Does the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, FL entrance have turnbuckles?

I have been invited to a hockey game but I am kind of apprehensive about going. Im a fat guy....so I already know this so you dont need to point it out. I hate going to events where you have to go through turnbuckles at the entrance because I am too fat to fit through. I always end up having to go through a "special" door to the side of the turnbuckles. Could someone please shed some light on this for me? Thanks.

  • Salute Visa Credit Card Sucks?!?!?

I have had this Salute Visa Credit Card through Urban Trust Bank for about a month now. I called and made the initial $20 payment to activate the card. The recording then mentioned the website where you could "access your account 24 hours a day, 7 days a week".

I have not been able to access my account for the past 3 weeks. Everytime I try to log in, I get a message saying the since is down MOMENTARILY for maintenance. I have gotten this message everyday for the past 3 weeks. Awful long moment don't you think?

Has anyone else had problems with the website or with Salute Visa itself?

  • Does being overweight hurt your experience at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida?

Here in a few weeks, my wife and I are going to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. This is too embarrassing for me to ask someone in person, so I decided to ask for your help on Yahoo Answers.

I am 460 lbs. Yes, I know I am fat. What I am worried about is actually going to Universal Studios and not being able to join in any of the attractions like the Back To The Future ride. The reason I am worried is because I don't know if they are like amusement park rides and you are made to wear a safety belt.

So does anyone out there know if you have to be buckled in on the rides or is it just on some of the rides? Please, I know I am fat and no one has to remind me of that so if you are going to leave a negative answer then just don't bother. Thanks to everyone who reads this and can answer my question.
