He used to be one of my students when he was in high school. I still teach, but not in the same school from which he graduated. When he was my student I never looked at him as more than a student--I'm not a masher-type teacher, that's gross! But now he's all grown up, and he has grown up into a very handsome man in addition to the fact that we discovered we actually have a great deal in common and make each other laugh. Why should I or why shouldn't I go out with him?

I called Vonage, was on the phone for an hour on two calls, I talked to 2 stupid people who couldn't help me. I want to talk to the Indian guys again--they were hard to understand but at least they fixed my problem when I first installed two years ago.

Well, I've been a certified scuba diver for one year as of yesterday... I've done 89 dives, completed my AOW (including nitrox) and two days ago finished the rescue diver course. It's pretty obvious that I love to dive. I was fortunate enough to help out in a dive shop over the summer, a very small place but I learned a great deal. I'm sure that I don't really want to become an instructor, yet I'm considering DM as I would like to be able to do Discover Scubas, help out with classes in an official capacity, work topside at the local dive site...

For those of you with more experience, what are the pros and cons of making DM?

I just finished reading it--but I couldn't wait... I had to read the epilogue, then a few chapters before that, then I went back to read what I had missed in between. I am glad that the Harry Potter series ended on an upbeat note!

Yesterday at the Charlotte airport I was waiting in line to hand my boarding pass to the agent, along with all the other people waiting to board the plane, when a group of about 10 Asians just suddenly burst through the line, crowded around the agent, then got on board. It was as if they didn't even notice or didn't even care that there WAS a line and we were giving our passes to the agent in an organized fashioned. It wasn't as if the plane was about to take off, either.

Then, in Indianapolis, as I was trying to stow my suitcases on the luggage rack in the shuttle bus to the long-term parking lot, they did the same thing. There were other people behind me, in a line, patiently waiting for me to get my luggage stowed, when this Asian group just crowded in, not caring at all about the others waiting.

I can only think that perhaps that's how they do things in whatever country this group of people was from. Does anybody know if this is just typical Asian behavior?

I'm in Crawfordsville, IN, just 40 miles northwest of Indianapolis, and I about had a cow when I drove by a gas station that yesterday had it for $3.07, and today it's $3.37!!

I've really enjoyed using the Oceanic comp that was loaned to me for my ocean dives (what a blast they were!) and I know that I need to get one of my own soon. I would like something simple, yet nitrox compatible that won't break the bank. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I have a 2.5 yr. old mini-Rex rabbit (Siwa) that is afraid of a lovebird (Codi) I've "inherited" from one of my students who can't keep it anymore. You'd think that the bird would be afraid of the bunny, not the other way around. When Codi's cage is in the living room, Siwa won't come out of her cage, not even to go flop in her favorite spot under my desk. I finally put Codi in a different room, and Siwa came out, but I'd rather have him in the living room, too, not stashed away in the computer room. Any advice about how to help Siwa get over her fear of Codi?

I should be getting back to my diet after last week's vacation, but I'm kinda down, so I'm eating junk food (sort of). So far, we've got one 2 3/4 oz. bag of Chipitos (Thai BBQ flavor) and a 2 3/4 oz. bag of the black bean salsa flavor, one 8 oz container of Dean's French Onion dip to go with them; a jar of Nutella (still unopened) and 2 cans of Mauna Loa kona coffee covered macadamias.

How about you all? Last binge? When was it and what did you eat?
