  • What to use for a play sink in my girls playouse?

My husband built my girls a playhouse. He's in the process now of building little cabinets and appliances. We were going to use a little metal chaffing dish for the sink....to simulate a stainless steal sink, but the things are outrageously expensive. Any suggestions out there?

  • How to get rid of belly fat?

I had an 8lb 15oz boy three months ago and I have a good bit of belly fat I need to get rid of. I'm probably a 12 or 14 in all areas but because of my belly I can wear a size 18 skirt and it will stay on. I need to lose about 30 pounds I know, but it is the belly fat that concerns me the most at this time. What causes so much belly fat?

  • How to find relatives that may or may not exist?

My mother recently commented that she wonders if she has any brothers or sisters that she has never met. Her father ran around a bit when he was married to my grandmother and mom wonders if there were any other children besides her brothers and sister that may be around somewhere.

I'm wondering how I would go about finding out? My grandfather's last name was Buff. He lived in NC during the 40's. We do know that he ran around with a woman named Mira at one point. She was supposed to be a redhead I believe. Not sure where he liked to run off to, but I think I heard he liked Florida from time to time.

  • Ever heard of skin to skin contact burning?

With my first child and now again with my third child (whom are almost identical by the way) I feel a burning sensation when we have skin to skin contact. When I nursed my oldest and now with my youngest, I notice that I feel a burning sensation on my arm where their little heads rest. The more either of us sweats the more it burns. Anyone ever heard of such a thing? Could this be an indication that we are allergic to eachother? Could that explain why both of them were such fussy babies?

  • Need to make car seat fit in seat better?

Does anyone know of a wedge or any product available to put under a car seat so it will recline properly in the seat. We bought a seat for kids from 5lbs to 80lbs...and when installed it tilts way forward so little man's head just bobs. It has lines on the side that show they should be parallel with the floor, but they don't because the seat is deep. Does anyone know of a product like a wedge that can be placed on the seat, under the car seat to make a surface that is more flat????

  • Baby has acne and blood in his navel.?

My little guy lost his umbilical cord more than a week ago and he's still got blood collecting in his navel. Is this something to worry about?

He also has baby acne and I was wondering if anything new has come out to get rid of it since my three year old was a baby?

  • C-section on Friday and I have developed sleep apnea in the past few days...I'm afraid I'll quit breathing???

I am very, very pregnant and will be going in for a c-section on Friday. I have recently developed sleep apnea from what I can tell. I wake up gasping for air, feeling as if my heart has stopped, and typically right in the middle of a huge snore (thank God my husband doesn't have to sleep next to me right now). After a little surfing on the net, I've decided it is sleep apnea. I'm really huge with this baby, I have acid reflux now, some nasal problems, and I snore.

What I'm worried about is after the c-section they will put me under to sew me up. I'm afraid I will quit breathing and no one will notice. I suppose that is pretty silly since the anethisiologist will need to be right there during the surgery, but I'm still apprehensive.

Should I call the hospital surgery admissions and ask about this? Or just talk to the anethisiologist before surgery? Maybe I should call my OB..though I have an appointment on Thursday.

  • Little man I babysit has a bad bacterial infection on his little butt.?

The four year old I babysit has a very bad bacterial infection on his anus. It is so raw and red it bleeds a bit. He's gotten where he won't eat, he holds his bowel movements so he's constipated now, and if he does go it is so hard that it makes him bleed even more. His mom has taken him to the doctor three times. They told her it is a yeast infection. They gave her medicine for the next month. They gave her hemmoroid creme to ease the pain. It has been three weeks now and his bum is still a mess. It doesn't appear to be getting any better. Yesterday he tried to have a bowel movement and it got stuck...he screamed and screamed...then later that night he had another while in the shower as if he couldn't help it and it just came out. More blood, more screams.

Has anyone heard of a little guy getting a yeast infection? Does anyone know what can cure this thing? It just doesn't seem to be getting better no matter what his mom tries.

  • Ever have problems with a gift registry?

My sister-in-law recently had a shower and when she tried to return some duplicates to Target she was turned away. She had a registry showing that the items were purchased at Target, but they wouldn't even give her an in-store credit unless she had a reciept. They also told her if the items were purchased more than 90 days ago, were on clearance, or no longer in stock they wouldn't be accepted either. So basically if you worry about hassles returning gift items don't register at Target.

Anyone else have problems with Target or anyother place they have registered at?

  • Six months pregnant and I have small pimple like bumps on chest and stomach.?

About a week or so ago I started breaking out with small bumps on my chest. They itched a bit and they have a slightly hard top like a scab...but it almost looks white. Anyway, it has spread to my stomach too now.

A few months back a little one I babysit had a rash on her tummy that was fine and red and very similar. She seems to have a touch of it now too. I thought it was her diapers but she's potty training now and not in diapers.

  • Where are US troops trained?

Someone in this forum tried to suggest that American officers are trained in the UK. I've never heard of such a thing and I come from a long line of servicemen. He referred to US training bases as "Disney" camps. And called the US Army the joke of the world.

Can anyone verify if troops are trained outside the US and to what extent? Does the world actually view the US Army as a joke?

  • Any US Presidents educated outside the US?

Someone in this forum tried to tell me that all US presidents were educated in the UK. I have found only one that had SOME education there or any foreign country for that matter and that was Bill Clinton. He did graduate from Yale though. Does anyone know of any other US presidents that were educated abroad and where?

  • Anyone else have issues with DicksSportingGoods.com?

I ordered some sleds for my girls before Christmas and had them shipped to my mother's 16 hours away because we would be there at that time. I called before we left to make sure that they would arrive while we were there for a week and a half. I was assured they would arrive in plenty of time and probably before Christmas. They never did and now it has been one big nightmare. I've called Dick's and Puralator, the shipping company many, many, many times. I'm so sick at this point I can't explain it in words adequately. Just wondering if anyone else has had issues and if they were able to get them resolved some way.

  • Back door on drivers side of van is very stiff and hard to open and close. Why?

I have a fairly new conversion van. The rear door behind the driver's seat has all the sudden become very stiff. It is difficult to open and close. I can't see any apparent obstructions, but it won't open and close easily.
