I'm 14. I've been 14. My mom really doesn't let me do anything. She doesn't let me go out with friends most of the time unless it's outside to the park by my house or something. She doesn't let me stay out past dark, and if I do on accident, she freaks out. I can't really have sleepovers and if I do it's because they are necessary, like if we're doing something really early in the morning or something. The thing is, I've never done anything wrong that would make her not want me to hang out with my friends. I live in a good neighbourhood, so it's fine to stay out after dark. I hate to go into the whole "but my friends can do it" thing, but pretty much everyone I know has been able to do all these things I can't since they were 12. Does my mom treat me like I'm younger than I am? And if so, how can I maybe convince her to let loose a bit?

Okay so I'm in 8th graxe and I am taking algebra 1 a year early. So I'm not too good at math and I was failing the class in the beginning of the year. She put me on "probation" so basically I had to have at least a C by a certain date or I would be put into an 8th grade pre-algebra class. I had a D on the day that my probation ended but i was for whatever reason kept in the class. She didnt talk to me about it or anything. So I've been in this class all year, failing every quarter. Quite recently I've been absent a lot so I havent taken 2 quizzes and 1 unit test. She hasnt had me take any of these, she hasnt even spoken to me about it. However she did speak to another student who wasnt there to take a couple of the same tests and had him take them. But not me.

I feel like shes pretty much neglecting me at this point. I am not learning anything in this class, and I'm just going to have to take it next year again. She really shouldnt keep me here and she really should have me taking these tests because otherwise thats 3 assesment grades that i will get a 0 on. Should I let someone know shes doing this? Because i really dont think this is normal of a teacher.

So, tomorrow is my 14th birthday. Currently I'm not allowed to stay out after dark at all, I'm not allowed to go to the mall without a parent being there, stuff like that. I am the only child and thus I understand why she is a bit over protective, but nothing has happened that would make her not want me to stay out after dark or go to the mall without parents. She knows I am smart enough to not do anything ridiculous and that I can fend for myself. However, she hasn't been wanting to let me do these things yet. I would much rather have her convinced to let me do these things than get into the habit of sneaking out or lying to her. How can I convince her?

Last night I was in my basement when I started to get a headache. I went upstairs and took two ibuprofins and went back down, but an hour or two passed and the headache got worse and never really kicked in. While the headache got worse I was having some pretty bad nausea and looking at lights or bright screens made it worse. Noise didnt bother me as much. The pain was on my forehead and sometimes It hurt on only one side. I slept it off and when I woke up I felt fine. Was this a migraine?

So I got a 15 dollar gift card for iTunes for Hanukkah..And I spent about 10 dollars so far and last I checked I was down to somewhere around 5 bucks. I loaded up the iTunes store today and apparently I have $10.88 now, even though no money was put on the account or anything.. What does this mean and what should I do?

I've had a cold since friday and ever since I've been having weird, vivid, mostly auditory dreams. They make no sense at all and kind of freak me out in a way. I usually don't have too many dreams, especially not extremely auditory ones. I don't have a fever or anything...Why is this happening?

I see a lot of questions on Y!A about how girls can't wait to get their periods, or they want to date at the age of 11, or whatever.

Honestly, I rushed my childhood a bit, and I wish I didn't.

I first got in trouble with the police at 11, french kissed at 12, started smoking at 13, got my period at freakin' 10..

I just kind of wish I was more of a kid and cherished my childhood but I didn't. Which is why it upsets me when kids want to rush right through it all.

Does anyone feel the same way?

In about an hour I'm going to leave to get a throat culture because I apparently have white spots in the back of my throat. The last time I got my throat swabbed I was 10. It's been about six years and all I can remember is the doctors holding me down and me screaming and having an overall bad experience. I'm not really scared of them swabbing my throat exactly, but that that is going to happen again. Is there anything I can do or think to myself while they're doing it or before its done to calm down? I'm not the happiest person around. I wasn't happy during summer, I wasn't happy during last school year, but this time it's worse. When my mom wakes me up, I just want to stay in bed. Not like a whole hormonal teenager "i want to sleep in thing," but "I don't care about life and I just want to freaking lay in bed forever" type thing. During my classes I can't focus at all. Nothing motivates me. Is there anything I can do to feel better about this? Anything I can do to find some motivation? Gracias.

I have an orange/red tabby cat named Tiger. I'm not sure what breed he is however. My mother/vet says he's too big to be an american shorthair, so we're not too sure. Here are some pics of him if any of you can figure it out:

It's all the same length, pretty much.. But I do have a face frame. It's not that long.. Goes bout four inches over my shoulder

It's been like this for like two years and I'm really bored of it. I want something shorter and choppier, and like..AWESOME and metaled out and such.

Basically, I have a friend I'm not exactly supposed to hang out with anymore due to circumstance. After time has past, we have drifted apart. And she made a new friend, and by friend, I mean, the kind of friendship we used to have. They do the exact same things we did, and heck, her new friend even kinda looks like me :/ (freaky stuff.) Therefore, I was literally, REPLACED.

I expected it to happen, but I didn't expect for it to hurt.

So, in a nutshell, I hate to see that was once the best friendship in the history of mankind, is now literally nothing, and ends with me being jealous. I literally get nausea when I think about it.

And according to her, it's "Just how things turned out."

OK, SO. I know what it is. actually. So um, I lied. But its like a chazilion or however its spelled :3.

That being said, I want it gone. Its been there for a year. Its gross, makes my eyelid feel heavy, and it has a weird crease in the middle.

Warm washcloths dont help. Medication hasn't helped. Surgery isn't an option.

What do I do?

Ok, so this has been here for about.. Well, I dunno. Since April of last year. and it won't go away. I went to the doctor, got some anti biotics and some ointment, and the infection went away. The lump itself, will not go away. The doc told me to put warm compresses on it for half an hour total a day, but it will not get smaller and it wont get bigger, either. I remember the doc also saying it wasnt a stye, but it was a chazilion or something like that.

I don't want to get it surgically removed since im like flat broke, but how else can I get rid of it since the doctor is out of ideas other than leaving it alone?

about a month and a half ago, my bestest friend and i drifted apart because her parents pretty much turned her against me by accusing me of stealing from their home. [her parents dont like me much, probably because im gay] ANYHOW, ever since, ive been unable to cry, ive been pretty depressed and pissed off, and also pretty nervous. i asked this same question about a month ago and i was told that i was probably in emotional shock, and it will go away in a few weeks. it hasnt gone away and it wont no matter what i do. whats wrong with me?
