Do you have any fun Halloween game ideas for fourth graders?
I'm planning a class Halloween party for fourth graders and want something a little out of the norm. I thought it would be fun to do a VERY MILD Fear Factor type theme but I'm open to anything! It can't be too messy and I don't really want to do gross eating type games. The games will all be stations that the kids will need to play in groups of four or five. We're also short on space. Any ideas?

1 AnswerOther - Music1 decade agoHow can you stick merchandise on to a card so it can be removed later?
I make key chains to sell at trade shows. For packaging, I take a card and put a little bit of hot glue on it and push the metal key ring on to it. It holds the keyring on the card for display purposes and when the person takes the ring off the card, it doesn't leave a sticky residue. Hot glue is messy, and doesn't always hold well so I'd like to find a better way to stick the keyring to a card without a sticky residue being left on the metal. Any suggestions?
1 AnswerHobbies & Crafts1 decade agoIn Microsoft Excel (2007), how do I tell the program to copy the text from one cell into another?
I know how to cut and paste. What I want the program to do is to copy the text from one cell and put it into another cell as it is added. I am going to be using the program as a receipt program for a trade show I am doing and want a duplicate receipt to print out for my records. Instead of wasting the ink and printing out the entire receipt twice, I was going to have it only print the areas I need for my record keeping.
1 AnswerSoftware1 decade agoWhat would you bring to a picnic as a main dish?
The Boy Scouts are having a pack picnic and everyone has been asked to bring a dish. Our family has been asked to bring a main dish. There will probably be about forty people attending. We're not the only main dish coming but there are very few so I would like for it to feed at least twelve. We're also on a budget so I need some low cost ideas. I'm not worried about food allergies or such. We will be eating shortly after arriving so if it's served warm, I can handle that. Any suggestions?
5 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoWhat was the final Jeopardy question tonight?
The correct response was "the rosary" and the question had something to do with how it was grouped. Does anyone know the question. . . . or answer as it may be?
1 AnswerDrama1 decade agoWhat is another word for "raffle"?
Our school is having a Holiday Mart and the vendors have donated items from their booths. We would like to raffle them off but because of the link with gambling, we can not technically call it a raffle. What is another way to describe this so that people understand what it is but we keep the district happy?
6 AnswersWords & Wordplay1 decade agoWhat are the McDonald's monopoly pieces to keep an eye out for?
We don't eat at McDonald's very often but I stopped in for a drink a few days ago. I don't want to toss my Monopoly pieces if they're one of the hard ones to get! Which are the "tough" ones this round?
3 AnswersFast Food1 decade agoI'd like to can some chili sauce but am out of pint jars. Do I just increase processing time for quart jars?
I BWB can and have had a bumper crop of tomatoes this year! I would like to can some chili sauce but all the recipes I have found that are safe for BWB are pint jars. I'm out. Can I put the chili sauce in the quart jars and just increase the processing time? How much? The recipe I would like to use calls for a 15 minute process.
1 AnswerCooking & Recipes1 decade agoAny tips for getting the smell of garlic off your hands?
I've been making pickles all day and had to cut a lot of garlic. My hands smell like garlic and I can't get it off! I've tried washing them in soap, dish soap, white vinegar and laundry soap. I've also tried baking soda. My fingers still smell like garlic! Any tips?
7 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoDo I take the vines off or do they come back?
I put in some vine flowers last year. I don't remember what kind they are but they do have cone shaped orange flowers. The vines grew up the side of the porch rails and up almost to the top of the porch. It looked very nice and I'd like for it to come back that way. Right now, I have a bunch of brown, dried vines still on my porch rails. Do I pull those off and let new ones grow back or are they just dormant right now and will come back soon (kind of like a tree?) ? Thank you for the advice!
2 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoHow thick is a 1x12 pine board actually?
I'm wanting to build a bookcase using 1x12 pine boards. I am trying to figure out how many boards I need to purchase and need to know how thick the pine board is actually. I know a 2x4 isn't actually 2 inches thick. . . it's a little less. I'm assuming a 1x12 isn't actually 1 inches thick. Does anyone know how thick it is? Thanks in advance.
2 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)1 decade agoWhat percentage of each claim would be an appropriate charge for a medical insurance biller?
I have an opportunity to work from home billing optical insurances for an optometrist. What percentage of the claims do I charge the doctor for billing? I know that you generally charge a flat rate and then a percentage on top of that if the claims exceed a certain amount. I'm not really interested in doing that and would rather just a flat percentage. Does anyone know what is fair and standard in this profession? Thank you!
2 AnswersInsurance1 decade agoHow do you get that nice, crispy sugar topping on top of muffins and breads?
One of the local restaurants makes blueberry muffins and apple bread that they put sugar on top of. It's larger sugar crystals and it's almost crispy when you bite into it. It's not cinnamon/sugar but just sugar. Is it a special kind of sugar you buy? Or do you mix with water and put on top before baking? How do I do it at home to my muffins?!
2 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoDo you have any good recipes that freeze well?
I'm going to be having surgery and would like to make a few weeks worth of meals and freeze them for the family. That way I can just pull something out of the freezer in the morning and pop it into the oven or microwave later in the day. Do you have any good recipes that freeze well? I've got a lot of pasta recipes already made up but would like a bit more variety. Thanks!

12 AnswersVideo & Online Games1 decade agoHow much should I charge per month for childcare? (details below)?
I will be watching a four year old when school starts up again. I will watch him from about 8:15am to 2:30pm three days a week. On the other two days, I will watch him from 8:15am and then drive him to his preschool at 12:30pm. The school is about a five mile round trip for me.
The parents have asked me to come up with a price that I would like per month. I have no idea where to even begin looking! I would like a fair price for my time but don't want to be overpriced. I live in a suburb of Kansas City if that is relavent. What would be a fair price for me and for the parents? Thanks!
4 AnswersOther - Pregnancy & Parenting1 decade agoIs a Credit Union's tax ID number the same as the Payer's ID number?
I'm working on my taxes and I'm being asked to put in my credit union's Payer's Identification Number (to report the interest earned). I called the Credit Union because I don't have the 1099 form yet and they are telling me that the Payer's Identification Number is their Tax ID number. Is this correct? I'd really hate to set myself up for an audit!!!
1 AnswerUnited States1 decade agoWhat kind of clay should I use?
I am wanting to make a bread basket out of clay. I plan on using the piece to keep my bread warm on the table so I want to be able to put it in the oven for 10-15 minutes prior to use to heat up. I know that I will need to get my piece fired and I am able to do that. What I don't know is what type of clay to use! Also, would I glaze it or just leave it natural?
This is the general idea of what I'm wanting to do:
