Do you have any good recipes that freeze well?

I'm going to be having surgery and would like to make a few weeks worth of meals and freeze them for the family. That way I can just pull something out of the freezer in the morning and pop it into the oven or microwave later in the day. Do you have any good recipes that freeze well? I've got a lot of pasta recipes already made up but would like a bit more variety. Thanks!

Does your family have any favorite casseroles? They usually freeze well.

    You could also try

    * taco meat - should freeze ok already cooked and seasoned

    * sloppy joes - again, you can freeze the meat already cooked

    * meatloaf - either freeze a large loaf or shape into individual "mini loaves" for faster cooking

    * lasagna -depending on the size of your family, you could freeze a large pan, or split the recipe between 2 8x8 pans.

    * meatballs - either for a meatball sandwich or for spaghetti and meatballs

    * soups/stews/chili

I use allrecipes.com when I'm trying to find a recipe, so I've added links to my favorites below. If these don't interest you, try browsing through the site - you'll probably find a lot that interests you.

Also, do you have a slow cooker? If so, try this pot roast recipe.

2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup

1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix

    1 1/4 cups water

    4 1/2 to 5 1/2 pound pot roast

Put the pot roast in the slow cooker. Mix the cans of soup, dry onion soup mix and water and pour over the roast. Cook

high for 3 to 4 hours or on low for 8 to 9 hours. If you don't like a lot of salt, get the low-salt soup mix or don't use the whole packet of dry soup mix.

Lasagne, Spaghetti bolagnaise, tuna mornay, tuna bake or pasta bake, savoury mince, curried sausages, devilled sausages, fried rice, sweet and sour pork (not battered pork), curry chicken (If you are doing anything with chicken make sure it is COMPLETELY cooled before you put it in the freezer). If you google for these recipes, i'm sure you'll find them. Good luck with your surgery :)

Save the stress on worrying about cooking enough food, buy a supply of Tysons Anytizers for your family and your kids will thank for you not making a bowl of chips for his hungry friends and taking out the Buffalo Anytizer's Boneless Chickenwings.

I really like both fruits and fresh vegetables better, however they look and taste. You desire a little of both.
