  • simpsons tapped out friends snake whacking?

My current friends suck. I visit all 6 of them every day and I'm lucky if one of them visits me once a week. I'm deleting them all and looking for new friends. Add me: "analive"

  • Does a round ever discharge when racking the slide?

I'm sometimes get nervous when chambering the first round my semi-automatic firearm. I usually do it one of two ways. 1) I lock the slide back, load in a full magazine, then release the slide forward to chamber a round, or 2) load in a full magazine and quickly rack the slide. But the reason I get nervous is because I have this fear that the round could discharge do to the force of the slide ramming it into the barrel. Does this ever happen?

  • Learning Spanish in the Dominican Republic? Am I about to make a big mistake?

I'm planning on spending a solid 4 months studying Spanish with a school in the D.R. I'm a complete beginner. Ultimately, I want to be able to understand both people from Central America and the Caribbean. Anyone have opinions on this?

  • Do Physician Assistants have the ability to work non-traditional schedules?

Do PAs have much leverage in getting shifts such as 3 days a week for 12 hours each shift (similar to that of nurses)? Or are PAs required to work 5 days/week?

Irregardless of the above question, how difficult would it be to find employment as a PA where in which you can work half of the year and have the other half of the year off? In other words, you work 6-months on, 6 months off, 6 months on, etc.

    Thanks.

  • How common is it that Physican Assistants regret not becoming medical doctors?

I interviewed a PA the other day and asked her if she had any regrets about entering the profession. She said that she regrets not spending the extra time to become an MD. I would like to ask how common is this feeling among PAs?

Can anyone in the medical profession tell me if this is common? Is it possible that more than 40% of PAs harbor this feeling?

Also, what causes this feeling of regret? Is it due to pay difference? The level of respect from patients and co-workers?

  • The advantage of a Master's over a Certificate to become a Physician Assistant?

I have the option of becoming a Physician Assistant either by going through a Master Degree program at a private university or a certificate program at a community college. Both programs are 2 years in length, but the master's program is $40,000 more expensive. So, is there really even an advantage to doing the Masters degree program?
