  • Need help with sizing a Fish Surfboard?

    Hello everyone,

    I'm wondering if anyone can give advice as to what size Fish i should get. I've been surfing for about half a year now and have two boards (9'2" HP Longboard (65.9L) and a 7'5" Malibu/Fun (40.6L)) and looking to get a Fish to add to my board arsenal and also try moving down to shorter boards. However, I do not really know how to size a fish board to get, for more info;

    I'm 5'6 128lbs, surf nearly everyday (if not 4-5 days/week), my paddling is decent, I'm not too strong hence the reason looking for a fish and not a shortboard yet. I can easily catch and ride 1-3 ft waves and getting comfortable with turning and riding down the line on 4ft waves now.

    Any advice can be helpful, Mahalo!

  • Stuck on which Minor to pick up to compliment a major in Sustainability?

    Hello, so I am a Junior at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa studying a B.A in Sustainability but I am stuck in what minor/certificate to take as I will finish my major well under required credits to graduate, so I'm picking up a a minor.

    I have narrowed my options to these;

    - Minor: Economics

    - Minor: Political Science

    - Certificate: Travel Industry Management with a focus on Sustainable Tourism

    My plan is to work with Non-Profits and other Environmental Conservation Organizations specifically in community outreach/education which can also be tied to poli-sci and sustainable tourism. However, the only thing holding me back on cutting economics is that I feel economics is probably the most valued on a resume, but I do not see myself in the business world (but also not ruling it out). Sustainable Tourism is another thing I am highly interested in by working with organizations that combine Sustainable Education with Tourist Attractions/Excursions, a lot of companies do that here in Hawai'i.

    These are my dilemmas, please give advice if you have, thank you all! Happy Holidays

    Attending a junior college here in California, but considering transferring to Manoa for marine biology. How is the cost of living, environment socially, the people/students, workload, difficulty in curriculum? Is it hard to get financial aid? if how much is the average they aid you with. Sorry a lot of questions, just want some info on future possible homes.

  • Got a ricketfor CVC 12814.6 (B)?

    So I made a rolling stop at a red light right turn, so this cop pulled me over. I had a friend in my car that is my age, 16. He had no ride home so I felt bad and decided to take him home, knowing the consequences if caught. Anyways the cop pardoned me for the rolling stop and let me go but still cited the 12814.6 (B). How much is the fine? and do I have to go to court? because I have no intentions of fighting the case because it was quite obvious.. I ve been researching and I keep seeing different answers from different years so I decided to ask here and now. Btw I live in California.

  • High School mess up and questioning majors.?

    I'm in my Junior year this year and I still haven't taken any AP classes yet. Im also a junior in geometry.. I had my bad history as freshman and sophomore and I regret it but I cannot change the past. Freshman year I had like a 1.8 GPA, Sophomore Year I had like a 2.14. However Ive picked my **** up and currently holding a 3.5 gpa however i know its too late to do good and i still assume that no 4 year college would take me.. and that I feel like i wont amount to **** later in life and it really is all my fault. I will try a JC then transfer out to a 4 Year. But what then? I have no idea what degree or major to pursue.. I am reallllly bad at math but I am a complete nerd on computers, I know everything about them and I have built like 5 pcs. So I really want to be a Computer Builder or Fixer of somewhat but idk what degree fits that because Computer Science requires math way beyond my understanding. I really love building PCs for gaming, and gaming in general. But I'm lost rn.

  • Should I sell my Gaming PC and go back to console?

    I have a pretty good gaming pc

    - i5 4690k

    - gtx 960

    - 240 gb ssd, 1 tb hdd

    - 8 gb ram

    I can run every game fine, ultra vs high doesnt matter to me but thats not the issue. Im getting really bored of PC games. Ive tried many but they just dont do it. I know there are many games are coming out this year but tbh they dont interest me anymore. Im just bored, plus my friends have quit pc and moved back to consoles (PS4) so i have no one to talk or play with. Im considering just quitting pc gaming and selling my pc to get a ps4, what do you guys think?
