High School mess up and questioning majors.?

I'm in my Junior year this year and I still haven't taken any AP classes yet. Im also a junior in geometry.. I had my bad history as freshman and sophomore and I regret it but I cannot change the past. Freshman year I had like a 1.8 GPA, Sophomore Year I had like a 2.14. However Ive picked my **** up and currently holding a 3.5 gpa however i know its too late to do good and i still assume that no 4 year college would take me.. and that I feel like i wont amount to **** later in life and it really is all my fault. I will try a JC then transfer out to a 4 Year. But what then? I have no idea what degree or major to pursue.. I am reallllly bad at math but I am a complete nerd on computers, I know everything about them and I have built like 5 pcs. So I really want to be a Computer Builder or Fixer of somewhat but idk what degree fits that because Computer Science requires math way beyond my understanding. I really love building PCs for gaming, and gaming in general. But I'm lost rn.

You're stressing out way to much about this, but I understand since I was in your shoes once. My high school gpa was 2.8 and I got into three good four-year colleges! I went through some bad personal stuff but still worked my but off in high school, but just didn't get good grades. I didn't know what I wanted to major in either, but I'm getting the best grades I've ever gotten in my life (3.6gpa), and have a major after taking classes in different areas (I'm a 2nd semester sophomore now).

So, my point is that regardless of your grades, your past, or your lack of direction, if you try your hardest everything will fall into place. Yes, colleges like good gpa's and test scores, and realistically you probably won't be able to get into an Ivy League school, but you will definitely get in somewhere, and probably multiple places, if you apply to a wide range of schools. You can't loose hope; I know right now it feels like you're failing and nothing is every going to work out since you have no idea what you want to do, but with ambition, perseverance and hard work you'll do great in college because if you make an effort to study hard, do all your work, and seek out professors help, you'll be excellent.

Also, I hate math too. You could consider going to a 2-year tech school where you just take computer/technology classes and you don't have to take all the math and stuff, but if you want to go to college don't let the fact that your bad at math stop you from going. There's majors in media studies, film studies, production, broadcasting, etc. so you can always expand your knowledge and love for computers into other areas of similar technology. However, with that being said you don't have to know by any means. Life changes rapidly and who knows, you might end up wanting to be a teacher or something if you take a foundations of education course!

Good luck and please stay strong!

Don't stress! A LOT of people are undecided with their majors going into college. Many people switch their majors throughout college. Almost everyone has no idea what they want to be or do for the rest of their life at your age. Don't sweat. Take your time. Choosing majors is a big deal. Take one or two classes that apply to the field that you like and see how it goes. Take classes at your JC during the summer and see what you like. Nothing wrong with going to JC either. Just keep in mind, it's going to be very hard to transfer out. So STUDY STUDY STUDY and don't slack off like you did in your previous years. Goodluck :)
