  • For those who believe anothe Messiah will come and fulfill ALL OF THE PROPHECIES in one lifetime.....?

    What about this one?

DANIEL 9 (New American Standard Bible)

9:25 "So you are to know and discern {that} from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince {there will be} seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; it will be built again, with plaza and moat, even in times of distress.

9:26 "Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end {will come} with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined.

And why was He to come?

9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people

    and upon thy holy city

    ,

    1. to finish the transgression, and

    2. to make an end of sins, and

    3. to make reconciliation for iniquity, and

    4. to bring in everlasting righteousness, and

    5. to seal up the vision and prophecy, and

    6. to anoint the most Holy.

  • If you found yourself left on earth after the rapture what would you really do?

Please don't answer with there is no such thing. If you just saw your children or anyone you knew to be a Christian what would you honestly do? Would you read the bible? Get prepared? Knowing your children were in heaven would you really denounce God?

  • If Christians changed the Hebrew Bible, why do the dead sea scrolls say this?

1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

  • Do you ever feel like this verse was written about this board?

“Scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. They will say, ‘What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created.’” 2 Peter 3:3-4 (NLT)

Welcome to Humanity 2.0 – the world into which the human race is devolving. The Holy Spirit revealed this world to Paul almost 2,000 years ago:

“You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly.” 2 Timothy 3:1-5 (NLT)

  • Is the book of Daniel in the Tanahk?

Sorry if I spelled it wrong?

How do you take these verses?

Daniel 9:24-26 Seventy weeks (shevuim shivim) are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto

the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of

    the war desolations are determined.

Daniel predicted that Messiah's death had to happen BEFORE the destruction of Israel’s second temple (which was destroyed by Rome in

A.D. 70). Any person claiming to be the Messiah after Jerusalem’s destruction in 70 CE does not meet the BIBLICAL requirement.

  • Atheists who are former Christians....?

What denomination did you come from?

I have seen several answer questions and said they used to be catholic. I wanted to see if there was a particular group that produced more atheists?

I am a former catholic and the reason I left was because there was not any sort of personal relationship for me. I did find Him though, I was just curious.
