  • What do you think of my theory?

I think that physical contact + increased time spent together (mainly between two people) can cause romantic feelings to grow stronger or to develop where there were none present. Of course, I'm not saying that this is for all/any situation. I'm just saying that, based on past experiences and observation, increased physical contact/time spent between two people can make romantic feelings grow quicker/stronger or cause those feelings to develop when they weren't present initially. I'm just curious about what other people think of this theory. Do you agree/disagree and why

Also, when I say physical contact I'm not even talking about any flirtatious touching. I mean things as simple as small hugs that become longer each time or more frequent or, stuff like an unnecessary/random lean on the shoulder.

  • Hostile arguments...with myself?

Everyone knows the classic little "angels" and "devils" that are used to represent the struggle we sometimes have when it comes to choosing between the right thing and what we feel like doing (sometimes the wrong thing). What goes on in my mind is similar to this except it goes on almost all of the time. I strive to do/think right but it's like there's always another side that turns my good thoughts/intentions into bad/evil. It gets frustrating. It's intrusive and frustrating and, as crazy as it sounds a hostile argument (threats and obscene language) takes place between the "good" and the "bad" inside my mind. It drives me crazy some days. It even gets to the point where I can see myself actually fighting myself...different story though. Actual question...am I the only one that this happens to? does something like this take place in the mind of anyone...at least something similar? What's this all about? Could it just be that my imagination is very active?

  • Who else is afraid of the end times?

[HEADS UP: If you are not a believer of Christ, you don't even want to waste your time responding to this question. If you are a non-believer but still want to say something, all I ask is that you at least be respectful and not attack me for my beliefs because I will not argue, I would not attack you for what you believe, and I have no intentions on changing what I believe no matter what. Thank You.] For those who have read and believe in the Bible, I trust that you are more than familiar with Revelations, the end times, and the return of Christ. This of course is a GOOD thing yet, sometimes when I hear about the end and the signs, I find it absolutely TERRIFYING! We are supposed to be watchful and aware and keep up with current events so that things don't come as a surprise and we get swept up in it all. I am trying to do this. I try to watch the news and look at some youtube videos but, I can only look at so much before my heart feels like it is going to leap out of my chest and my guts feel like they've turned into mush! Does anyone else get scared about this? How do you cope with it? How do watch for the signs without getting absolutely freaked out the way I do?

  • Should I be worried about this?

I've had a mole on my nose for a little while now. No significant pain or anything. I tried to get rid of it with some home remedies which worked and made it small for a little while but then I stopped so it got big again. I wasn't aware of it at first but now I know that it could be cancerous! I have picked at it before which caused irritation and made it bleed (stupid I know but as I said, I didn't know and it initially started as a pimple). After reading and being scolded by my grandmother, I have finally left it alone. It's now pink (flesh) but nothing to abnormal is going on. The mole itself doesn't hurt and I'm not experiencing pain anywhere else because of it. It got dry but that wasn't until after one of the home remedies I tried which was the use of onion juice. None of the changes were happening until after I picked with it so I really think it's just irritation however, after the stuff I've read, I have to say that I am really scared now! Can anyone give me some peace of mind? If you've seen something like this before give me more detail about my situation please? Thanks.

  • Am I just completely weird or what?

I guess this is more of a confession of a weird desire that I have than it is an actual question. Most people I know that are in search of a relationship are in search of typical things like intimacy, someone to be there for them, someone who cares, someone who listens, shares interests, just to name a FEW things that people are really looking for. However, I'm looking for a STRICTLY platonic relationship where I can just...be there for the person. I just want to be the good and reliable friend that a person really trusts and turns to for comfort. Example: If one of my friends are feeling extremely down and out at 3 in the morning, I want to be the friend they KNOW they can call and I'll be right there to cheer them up in no time at all. I don't want anything in return. I'm not trying to take the relationship beyond friendship status. I literally just want people to feel genuinely loved and cared about because I know there are many people who don't feel that way. Or they feel that they have no one to trust. It seems like whenever I meet someone and I start to get exactly the type of bond I'm looking for, it seems like the the person (mainly females) starts to back/push me away. Is it because they think I have hidden motives? Do they think I'm weird for being the type of person I am? Is it creepy? Is it really so unusual to care the way I do for people? Am I the only one who thinks this way?

  • The "mystery" of spontaneous combustion?

I am a highly curious person who almost ALWAYS has to have an explanation to my questions/inquisitive thoughts and can't really rest until I at least have theories to think on lol. (so I definitely hope I get multiple interesting theories to this question.)

I was thinking that if there was more information given about the victims of SHC (spontaneous human combustion) cases, maybe a common factor could be found and we'd be lead to some type of an answer/explanation. That's just what I think.

I'm curious about what other people think. Do you have an idea/theory of what could cause such a phenomenon? Or an idea of finding the answer to how such a thing could happen.

This really intrigues me so the more answers to this question I get, the merrier!

  • How would you respond/react to your gut feeling?

I love asking questions on here just to see the varying answers/solutions I get because many I have received in past times were very useful. My question today is, if you had a certain vibe or gut feeling about something/someone, how do/would you respond? Currently I have this unexplained fearful feeling about someone and it's killing me because I can't pinpoint why and I have trouble knowing when to trust "that feeling". I often worry that I'm just over thinking or being paranoid and because I want to avoid wasting my time on some foolishness my anxious imagination created, I usually try to ignore "that feeling". Even though there were more times the feeling was right than wrong. So:

    1. Does anyone else besides me have trouble knowing when to follow the feeling? (If so)

    2. How do you usually go about deciding what to do?

    3. Is your feeling usually right?

I'd love to hear any/as many different solutions/answers as possible!

  • Why are true platonic relationships so hard to find and keep?

I know I must sound like a punk to some people for this but, I'm an individual who isn't really looking for a relationship beyond friendship with anyone (especially not right now with the things going on in my life at this time). All I really truly want right now are friends who I can just hang out with, laugh with, just care for (when I care about someone, I TRULY show how much I care), and be there for. Just simple stuff like that. I'm not really interested in titles and physical contact that goes beyond hugs. There have been many people who I've friendships with that started like that but VERY few of them actually remained. More than half of them end in the other person (mainly female friends) getting seemingly annoyed/mad with me for what seems like reasons that are out of the blue and they just break ties with me completely. Why is it hard to find people who are looking for the same type of relationship I'm looking for?

  • Why do I keep having these dreams?

I have seen many questions on yahoo about tornado dreams. Trust me, if they covered exactly what I'm questioning, I wouldn't dare waste anyone's time asking my question. So, like many other "askers" I have been having recurring tornado dreams for a very long time. The only thing is, I never get hurt/damaged by them. Here's how my dreams went:

    1. I was sitting with my mom and dad and a tornado came and destroyed every house across the street from ours while our side of the street was bright and sunny.

    2. My house was flying through a green vortex and a sparkling purple tornado (crazy I know) came, went through my house like a ghost. It didn't touch or destroy anything and my mom slept right through it. Once it passed our house, it started destroying things.

    3. I got swept up in it but, instead of being smashed into the ground after it passed, suddenly a parachute opened and I landed without a single scratch.

    4. I just had this morning: I was working in an office cubicle and my mom, co-worker, and I saw a HUGE one coming straight for the building followed by two skinny ones. We stepped outside (can't remember why) as it was now closer. We finally thought of a safe place to go but it was too late, by the time we had discussed where to go and tried to run for safety, the big one was right in front of us but, before it could do anything, a huge bubble (like a force field) appeared between us and the twister. We went back into the lobby and watched through the glass doors as the bubble sucked up the twister, rose like bread in an oven and bounced off of the ground taking the twister with it. We found out that the bubble burst behind the building, releasing the twister where it destroyed everything else except the building we were in. The two skinny ones just stopped moving.

What could this stuff mean and why do I keep having these dreams? Could anyone possibly explain?

  • What makes you love someone?

I'm not even talking about falling in love or the type of love between a gf and bf or husband and wife. I'm talking about the type of love that comes for a friend. What makes you just meet someone and cause you to love them as if they were your own flesh and blood when sometimes they aren't? What gets love stirred up?

  • What does it mean when someone is suddenly on your mind a lot?

There is someone I used to know. To make the entire 4 1/2 year experience I had with this person short: We were cool, we stopped talking for reasons I'm still not 100% sure about , graduated HS only to end up at the same college, started talking again, I moved and have no way of contacting them. We never really became close friends as I would have liked to but I was okay with that since we did end our acquaintance on a good note. I am now in another state as I mentioned earlier and until earlier this week, I hadn't really thought about them. Now, suddenly, they're on my mind heavy. I'm worried about how they're doing and hoping they're safe and doing well (At one point they were supposedly in an abusive relationship). I really would like to just go on not thinking about them like I was doing at first but whenever I try to carry on or distract myself, flashbacks and concern overwhelm me. On a few occasions they were in my dreams too. I don't have their number and I've had no luck finding them on any social networks besides an OLD myspace page. I keep trying to forget but suddenly something keeps making me want to look for/find them. Has anyone else ever had some random or unlikely person randomly cross their mind like this? Did you end up finding out that it meant something? Did you end up seeing them again or something? I don't want to waste my time thinking it means something and it's nothing at all. At the same time, I'd hate to think this is nothing important and later regret thinking so. Can someone help me make sense of this because it's kinda starting to drive me crazy @_@

  • How can you tell if a cat is sad?

Recently I moved into a new house with my uncle and discovered the previous family abandoned their cat. The cat (of course) still tries to come into the house but my uncle doesn't want him in here. He's become very attached to me and my sister and often tries to come in with us. Even when I try to sneak in he meows and wants to play. I feel like he's sad when we have to come in the house even though I made up a little house for him to stay in on the porch and I'm curious about what signs a cat shows when he/she is sad?

  • Is there anyway to fix this?

I bought saints row 2 for my xbox 360 recently. Started playing it and it was working just fine through the beginning cut scene, it lets me create my character, I get through the fight with the cops just fine. However, once I get to the checkpoint where you have to get on the boat with Carlos, the screen just goes to black like the cut scene is about to come on but it doesn't. The cut scene never starts...the system just freezes. I thought it was the disc so I went to gamestop and had it replaced...it's still doing the same thing. This is the ONLY game that does this. I was told that if I install the game to a hard drive, I should be able to play without the disc and it should work just fine. Is this true? Will this fix the problem? Also, if possible, could anyone tell me what problem is occurring that is preventing me from playing?
