  • Should I get an Apple or PC?

I'm writing a book right now, and once it gets published, I'd like to buy myself a laptop. My school gives us iPads. I have a bluetooth keyboard and a word-processing app I'm using to write it right now. Previously, they gave us Apple MacBooks, but the model was discontinued, so they switched to iPads.

I currently have a small fanbase (about 50 people) and I'd like to buy the 11 inch MacBook Pro, which would take about 300 people to buy the book to get the laptop with the word-processor and a case. I love apple and its software, so this would be my first choice.

It's either that or I buy a less-expensive PC laptop and sacrifice quality, because honestly, Apple really does make the best computers I've ever used.

Which one should I buy? I'm not sure I can get 300 people to buy my book and I really want a laptop. :)

    Thanks!

  • I want to be nice to her, but sometimes she's a jerk!?

My school is really really really really really really small. Like, as in 40 people in our middle school. This January, some new students transferred including a new girl, and our school is so small I'm in every class with her except for Spanish and Art.

Well, this new girl came from a school were not everyone was treated right, so the teases and kind of bullies people because that's kind of what everyone did at her old school. For instance, there is a girl who hates her hair because it's really curly, and we sometimes make a friendly joke about it and we all laugh, but she sometimes says really hurtful stuff about her hair. (This is just an example.) I really hate it because I take in pride my school because the first semester we were all really close friends and nobody bullied anyone.

She's also very bossy. I was once partnered with her for a project, and she basically made me do what she wanted to do and wouldn't budge. I was basically her slave.

She's the kind of person who doesn't do her homework, and that gets her in trouble with teachers. She cries a lot, and whenever she gets in trouble for homework or something, she goes into this kind of mopey-dopey mood, where she has this helpless "Nobody in the world loves me" tone of voice, and is very helpless, and at times, says really hurtful comments.

At times she's also very annoying and untactful. She laughs at everything and her laugh honestly sends shivers down my spine and I have enough common sense not to scream. She sometimes suggest the class do really really weird things that really makes an awkward moment, but then she just laughs and when someone asks why she says, "Because it'd be fun!" and then laughs again.

I really need some advice to deal with her. She's probably coming back next year. I want to do something about it because I can tell by the look of the faces of the people in the room that they find what she does bothering too. Please help me out!!!

  • How to get into character?

I'm a girl, and I'm playing a man in a musical my theater company is doing. I'm supposed to be a criminal who's been sent to the americas as punishment. (1600s ish, if you're wondering.) The directors told us that we needed to get more into character. Any ideas?

  • Burnt throat and upcoming audition?

On Sunday, I burnt my throat eating a hot baked potato straight from the microwave. I could hardly talk for a day and the most recent full meal I've had since I burnt it is lunch today.

Today, my mom came home from acting class (I couldn't go because of my throat) and she told me that there were auditions for a company play in two days. I really want to audition for this play. I need some home remedies so that my throat can heal fast and I can sing. I really need to sing because I have the perfect song for the character I'm auditioning for.

I really need some advice on how it will heal faster.

  • Any ideas for an alternative for tie?

My school has church services. On the day we have church services, they have formal uniforms. They make everybody wear a tie. Boys wear navy ties and girls wear plaid ties. Yes. They make GIRLS wear ties! Like, the real stuff that boys wear! I'm writing a persuasive essay to convince the uniform people to remove the ties. I want to think up an alternative to the ties that is formal, but isn't nothing or a cross tie. (The elementary girls wear cross ties, and we want to look different from the little kids) Is the idea of a plaid cross tie a good idea? Please reply with ideas!

  • What to do when you don't love your boyfriend anymore?

Before my boyfriend asked me out, he said he had mixed feelings for me. That made me want to fall out of love with him. Then he asked me out, and I said yes. We've been together for a week, and now I don't love him anymore!!! I just want to be friends, but how do I tell him that when he's head over heels over me? Should I make him dump me? Should I dump him? How do I do this and still be friends as if nothing happened?
