Anyone know about other bands like 'The Civil Wars', that are a man and woman with really good musical harmony?

  • Movie/Book Recommendations?

I love movies and books where two people fall in love under not-so-typical circumstances. Stories with adventure and comedy, as well as drama and romance. Sexy guys, interesting plot-lines. I love seeing people fight for what they love also. And I'm drawn towards stories with strong women!

Some movies I love with these qualities are:

-Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas

    -Prince of Persia

    -Avatar

    Some books:

    -Graceling

    -Hunger Games Trilogy

    -Wicked Lovely Series

    Any Suggestions?

By the way, don't even bother suggesting Twilight. I hate it!

Please try to mainly suggest books.

  • Where is this scene from...?

I saw a short scene once on TV, and I'm wondering which show or movie it came from. I thought it was from L Word but I'm not sure. Here goes:

There was a girl with black long hair. Another girl with her. The black haired one gave the other one a present. In the box, there was a dildo. Then the two girls "did it", the black haired one on bottom, the other girl using the dildo. They set a camera at the edge of the room, away from the bed, and videotaped themselves.

    Where's this scene from?

  • Which film is this...?

Hi, I need a little help. Around 4-6 years ago, when I was maybe 8, I watched a film with a couple of buddies. I'm young, so this isn't a 70s movie we're talking about.. I'd like to watch it again, but the problem is, I don't remember the title, and my memories of the movie are very vague. Can you help me find out the title? Here's some things I remember about it:

-I'm pretty sure it wasn't live action, it was animated. Or CGI maybe.

-The main character was a girl/lady. She had dark hair, and light skin.

-The title had the word "Final" in it, I'm sure.

-There was a male character named "Grey/Gray" who dies in the film. I can vaguely remember the scene. He is hanging off of some sort of cliff, there is a sea of something underneath him. The main character lady is holding his arm, but he tells her to let him go. She does.

-The film was set in the future.

-The plotline involved some soul-sucking characters, that looked a bit like a cross between dragons and the Sentinels from The Matrix films. They flew around and would pass through whoever's soul they took.

-In the beginning, the main character finds some sort of plant. It was like the 'last plant' in the area or something like that.

Sorry if I couldn't give you enough information, but I'd really like to find out which film it was. Thanks!

  • My hamster's hind legs stopped working...?

I had two hamsters. One of them died. Her name was Patooty. She died yesterday......we got another one just so ours woudln't be lonely....

She was fine that morning, and we had bought her a month ago. The people at the petstore told us she was under 1 years old, so she didn't die of old age. For some reason, she totally lost all feeling in her hind legs, like they were paralyzed. She would drag them around while moving with her two front feet. She was very hyper, more than the other hamster we have, and she was a robo dwarf hamster. Approximately 3-4 hours after we found her paralyzed, she died. Can anyone tell me what might have caused it? Just so this doesn't happen again?

  • Is it possible to be screwed to death?

Don't think I'm asking this to do it, but it's a question that me and my friends are a little curious about, ever since we saw a video warning us on date rape. Is it possible for a woman to be literally THINGed to death?(by THINGed and SCREWED, I mean raped, as in F***ed) And if it is possible, then why, scientifically?

  • Harold & Kumar 2 trailer song?

What song was in the 'Harold & Kumar: Escape to Guantanamo Bay' theatrical trailer that starts when the words 'The escape was easy' appear? It plays through the bottom-less scene, and the parents' questioning scene.

And which song was the second one that plays after that, but until Harold&Kumar land in George Bush's house?

  • The Children of Huang Shi trailer- what music is on it?

In the COHS trailer, what is the instrumental song that beings to play when Jonathan Rhys Meyers' name is displayed, along with all of the other cast members? It beings to play, and then in the middle you hear dialogue, and then it plays again to a scene where they are riding horses and military vehicles. Anyone know what the song's name is. It's very beautiful.

    Thanks!

    O yea, here's a link:

The song begins to play at 1:17, right after you hear "You are a remarkable man, Mr. Hogg."

  • What was Joan of Arc like?

I am working on a duet in my Theatre class, and I'm not sure if I have the total description on her personality. I know that she is brave, determined, stubborn, and very persuasive. But how would she react to things?

I have to do a scene where she encourages Charles to be the King. He says that he cannot do it, and then she says "C'mon! We're all like that to begin with!" (that was all paraphrased). How would she react to that? I was thinking of yelling, but Joan seemed like such a calm person, since she's a saint. I'm confused...

  • Who agrees with me on this Halo movie casting?

I think that the Master Chief should be CGI and they should have Steve Downes do a voice over. Or they should make a really fit 7 ft dude play Master Chief, and still have Steve Downes's voice over it. And Cortana should be CGI with Jen Taylor's voice, she's supposed to be a hologram anyways. Unless somehow the casting director for the movie can find an actress who looks EXACTLY like Cortana. Otherwise, no one else. Making Angeline Jolie or Jessica Alba do it will take the Halo feel away. As for Sargeant Johnson, I really don't know. My last line of defense for him is Samuel L Jackson. And I was thinking...Miranda Keyes should be played by Natalie Portman. It's okay if anyone disagrees. Portman's just the first girl that came to my mind for Miranda. But Miranda should be really pretty, in my opinion. I just really want the movie to look like the game. If all CGI was an option, I'd totally roll for it!

  • What do you think will happen to the Master Chief?

It would be cool to hear some theories on what the planet that the Dawn is entering is. I've heard it's some planet called "Onyx", and I haven't read the books. What's onyx? And why is there a rumor that there are other spartans there?

  • Why does the Arbiter say "Were it so easy..." in the tribute speech cutscene of Halo 3?

After Lord Hood says "It's hard to believe he's dead." the Arbiter says "Were it so easy...". I don't understand what he's stating. Is he saying that if it was easy he would have killed Master Chief himself? I'm confused!
