  • In baseball, what is a pitcher's "dead arm"?

I have heard this term before and am not sure what it means.

  • Stage production of Sweeney Todd?

Does anyone know how long the show is? I have it in my head that it is very long. I seem to remember it being 6-8 hours long. Am I totally off base?

  • When does a sunburn need to be seen by the doctor?

My son has burned the top of his feet (2 days ago). From behind the toes to the arch, the skin is white-ish and has already started blistering. This area is also a bit swollen. From the arch to the ankle it is just really red.

We are treating with cool water compresses and aloe. He's taken some ibuprofen.

I'm concerned about the area that is whiter and already blistered. Should this be seen by our doctor?

  • Sports Illustrated cover and jinx?

After the outcome of yesterday's KU vs. ORU game, would you say the jinx is real, or is it way too early in the season to worry about such things? My son and I are having a debate.

  • Zinnia seeds and freezing temperatures?

In years past, I have been able to collect seeds from my zinnias after the flower heads die. There is a freeze expected tonight and they have not died back yet. Will the seeds still be viable if they have frozen? Can I collect the flower heads and let them dry and still be able to use the seeds next spring?

I can't cover them tonight. They are too tall and cover too big an area.
