this laptop is about 3 years old; this has been a problem for a few months. it occasionally works if i restart the computer, and is more likely to work when it is cold. i can see part of the bottom of the touchpad with the battery taken out. can i do anything from there?
a usb mouse works fine, but i'd like it if the touchpad would work.
also, the battery is just about useless for holding a charge anymore. would this affect touchpad performance?
