I have Cablevision(New York/New Jersey) area and was thinking of purchasing a portable TV. Would I receive all the cable channels with this TV or is it limited to certain channels? Thanks!

I know ESPN3 carries it here but I don't have one of the cable providers they require for you to watch from that site. What other sites besudes ESPN will carry it?

Any Genre.

For the sole purpose of getting Presale tickets for an event 2 days before public? I've read somewhere where they only get a small allotment of tickets and there is by no means a guarantee of great seats(Which would be my reason for getting it)

I'm going to UFC on Fox 3 and would like to get great seats($250 a ticket per section) but I would actually like to only pay that and not the crazy mark ups sellers have on Stubhub!

So is the Fight Club membership worth it or will it only be a waste as I still have no guarantee of great seats and would be better off waiting 2 days until ticketmaster starts their sale?

I live in the USA, I e-mailed willow.tv and they said they would get back to me on whether they would be carrying it but as of yet I haven't heard back from them.

Just in case they don't carry the tournament where can I watch it online?

I was just listening the The Ventures and thinking if you only listened to their hit songs you would think they were a normal pop instrumental combo who also played surf rock. Songs like Walk, Don't Run, Ram-Bunk-Shush, Perfidia and Hawaii 5-O make almost all their compilation albums.

Truth is they had A LOT of very heavy fuzz songs like The 2,000LB Bee, The Creeper, Love Potion No. 9, etc

I think if most people knew that, the Ventures would beeven more popular than they are today.

So do you know of any gropus that have a different sound to them than just what is represented in their hit songs or Compilation albums?

Give me songs of any genre that tell some kind of true story, whether it be biographical in nature or something about an event, etc.

This Friday I will be traveling up to Boston to see 60's Garage Rock band The Remains in concert with Roy Sludge opening for them. This will be a 4 hour 15 minute drive each way(I live in New Jersey) and is the farthest I will have ever traveled to see a concert!

it may have a perfectly good reason to be called what it is, but is there a style of music whose name just doesn't sound right or you know of a more apt name?

For me I would change Dubstep and call it Electro-Bass. Dubstep sounds like some country music "What you listening to?" "Dubstep...can you pass the chew?" LOL

I have a shirt of my favorite band Moby Grape that I wear frequently on weekends. And it seems almost every time I'm in public someone will make a comment about the group. I've heard "Wow I remember them, they were a great band" and just yesterday at a flea market "That's my friends favorite group!"

For a band that gets no radio play and was a "forgotten" band of the 60's, a lot of people sure as heck remember and love them!

So I just got an e-mail today stating that my Pre-Order of Joel Whitburn's Top Pop SIngles 1955-2010 book will be shipped to me on June 21! This reference book is basically a bible of everything to do with not only the National Hot 100 charts but also regional charts from Major cities, plus a whole lot more.

My question to you is What is your favorite book about music? Doesn't have to be a reference book, could be a book about your favorite group, a little booklet that came with a CD, etc.
