  • Bible study for girls, Jr. & Sr. high, mixed in one group. The church wants to keep them separate...?

I would like to start allowing high school girls to attend the girls group I do w/ jr. highers. One high schooler was attending and they told her they didn't want her in that group but in the high school group. And the girls going into sr. high want to continue with our group. (a lack of "deep" teaching in the church makes me very passionate about this group.) Her and I are close and I would like for the group to be open to both jr. & sr. high.

Can someone help me with verses to present to the leadership to help them see beyond their plan and see God may do something greater?

  • My dog will yip without reaction or limping?

This started yesterday. He went to go out the doggy door and when he ducked his head down he let out a loud yip like someone was stepping on him but he did not really react, he did not nurse a leg or foot or anything. The when going for the Frisbee he would run after it like normal but when he got about 2 or 3 inchs. from picking it up yipped again (it sounds painful) he also yipped getting out of his bed and just walking around.

It is not a particular motion and we have applied pressure all over his body to see if it is a bruised something and can't figure it out. We are going t take him to the vet if we hear him once today. He is about 4 or 5 yrs old and has no prior issues.

Has anyone had this issue? What is wrong with my dog?

  • Has anyone else noticed gas burning off faster?

To me it seems like the gas in my tank is burning faster than it has before. I have even tried conserving, like easing off the accelerator and everything else I can think of. I'm thinking I'm either imagining it, or the oil companies are pulling more tricks. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me?

  • Are the Christians you know really that bad?

I see some of the things people say about Christian being this or doing that. The Christians I know have a lot of love in their hearts and I have a hard time seeing true Christians treating anyone the way some folks make them out to act. Beware of these people folks, they are just misrepresenting Christ. Christ talked of love and peace, it is sad many are turned off from Him by us

  • Has it gotten to the point that if you even ...?

mention God people feel like you are preaching at them? Not talking about people condemning each other or saying I'm right your wrong, just speaking about God and Christ in everyday conversation. Now knowing how great God is we should be talking about His glory and greatness all the time, but for some reason, I personally, get timid about that. I look at the clouds, the stars, my dogs and have a new appreciation for what Christ did and who God is. I want to shout it from the rooftops. Why does that bother so many people? Is it just cause they do not see Him, He is not working in their life, Do they think every believer is crazy? Please a little insight

  • Dinosaurs are in the Bible?

All things were made by Him (see John 1:3), including dinosaurs. Why then did the dinosaur disappear? The answer may be in Job 40:15–24. In this passage, God speaks about a great creature called "behemoth." Some commentators think this was a hippopotamus. However, the hippo’s tail isn’t like a large tree, but a small twig. Following are the characteristics of this huge animal: It was the largest of all the creatures God made; was plant-eating (herbivorous); had its strength in its hips and a tail like a large tree. It had very strong bones, lived among the trees, drank massive amounts of water, and was not disturbed by a raging river. He appears impervious to attack because his nose could pierce through snares, but Scripture says, "He that made him can make his sword to approach unto him." In other words, God caused this, the largest of all the creatures He had made, to become extinct.

  • Evolution disproves the bible?

The Book of Genesis tells us that everything was created by God—nothing "evolved." Every creature was given the ability to reproduce after its own kind as is stated ten times in Genesis. Dogs do not produce cats. Neither do cats and dogs have a common ancestry. Dogs began as dogs and are still dogs. They vary in species from Chihuahuas to Saint Bernards, but you will not find a "dat" or a "cog" (part cat/dog) throughout God’s creation. Frogs don’t reproduce oysters, cows don’t have lambs, and pregnant pigs don’t give birth to rabbits. God made monkeys as monkeys, and man as man.

Each creature brings forth after its own kind. That’s no theory; that’s a fact. Why then should we believe that man comes from another species? If evolution is true, then it is proof that the Bible is false. However, the whole of creation stands in contradiction to the theory of evolution.

Dr. Kent Hovind of Florida has a standing offer of $250,000 to "anyone who can give any empirical evidence (scientific proof) for evolution." Evolution— true science fiction. His website is www.drdino.com.

  • Religion how currupt has it become...?

It is true that man has used religion for political gain. Nazi Germany had "God with us" engraved in German on the belts of Nazi soldiers. America said, "Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition." The law may even allow you to start the Christian Nazi Party, if you so desire. You can become a "reverend" for a few dollars through the tabloid classifieds and then further your political agenda with the world’s blessing, no matter how much it smears the name of Christ.

Jesus tells us in John 16:2,3 that there will be some who, in their error, commit atrocities and murder in the name of God: "The time is coming that whosoever kills you will think that he does God service." However, He informs us that these are not true believers: "And these things will they do to you, because they have not known the Father, nor me." (See also 1 John 3:15.)

Jesus told His followers to love their enemies. So if a man puts a knife into someone’s back in the name of Christianity, something obviously isn’t right. If we human beings can detect it, how much more will God? He will deal with it on Judgment Day.

"I know that the Lord is always on the side of right. But it is my constant

anxiety and prayer that I—and this nation—should be on the Lord’s side."

  • Science vs God or God creates science...?

    Tell me what you think...

1.Science expresses the universe in five terms: time, space, matter, power, and motion. Genesis 1:1,2 revealed such truths to the Hebrews in 1450 B.C.: "In the beginning [time] God created [power] the heaven [space] and the earth [matter] . . . And the Spirit of God moved [motion] upon the face of the waters." The first thing God tells man is that He controls of all aspects of the universe.

2.Medical science has only recently discovered that blood-clotting in a newborn reaches its peak on the eighth day, then drops. The Bible consistently says that a baby must be circumcised on the eighth day.

"The universe suddenly exploded into being...The big bang bears an uncanny resemblance to the Genesis command." Jim Holt, Wall Street Journal science writer

"New scientific revelations about supernovas, black holes, quarks, and the big bang even suggest to some scientists that there is a ‘grand design’ in the universe." (U.S. News & World Re-port, March 31, 1997)

  • What can you do to lower gas prices???

In April 1997, there was a "gas out" conducted nationwide in protest of gas prices. Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight.

On May 15th 2007, all internet users are to not go to a gas station in protest of high gas prices. Gas is now over $3.00 a gallon in most places.

There are 73,000,000+ American members currently on the internet network, and the average car takes about 30 to 50 dollars to fill up.

If all users did not go to the pump on the 15th, it would take $2,292,000,000.00 (that's almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil companys pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on May 15th and lets try to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil industry for at least one day.

If you agree (which I cant see why you wouldnt) resend this to all your contact list. With it saying, ''Don't pump gas on May 15th"

  • Yea, can we really shut our hearts to God completly? cont?

Obviously no one understood that the first country to declare itself atheist and not allow worship failed. They have now come back to faith in God. A lot of people want there to be no religion but if you read, that is obviously out of the question. Albanians rediscover God! Albania became the first officially atheist country in the world in 1967. Its dictatorial ruler, Enver Hoxha, ordered all churches and mosques demolished or converted into sports arenas, warehouses or other secular facilities. He shut the borders. And, until communism collapsed in 1990, public expressions of faith were banned. it was forbidden even to say "Merry Christmas."In a country that once officially outlawed God, religion is back -- but in a different way than before the long experiment in godlessness. Many Albanians have resumed spiritual practices with a faith strengthened by the years of suppression. "Trying to kill religion was an injustice, and injustices are destined to fail," his home town's religious renaissance proves that faith cannot be wiped out by decree, bulldozers or bullets.
