  • How well will chicken thighs work in place of breasts in a recipe?

So my roommate bought a bag of chicken thighs as opposed to breasts. I want to make a box of chicken helper, which asks for breasts. Having never cooked with thighs before, would it be an acceptable substitute?

  • Can my landlord charge a cleaning fee?

We are getting ready to move out of our apartment. We paid a $400 refundable security deposit. Anything that is normal wear and tear is acceptable, and any cleaning beyond that may be charged. Totally normal, right? But when we put in our 30 day notice, we were told that they charge a minimum of $50 for carpet cleaning - regardless of what condition it is. This seems to contradict nothing charged for normal wear and tear. Can they legally do this? I'm in Oregon.

  • Why do I suddenly have so much discharge?

So since yesterday I haven't been feeling very well (your more or less normal tummy problems...) but then overnight last night I got SO much discharge that it woke me up because my underwear were soaked. This has never happened before. It was very wet and clear. Any idea what it could be? My period is due in about 5 or 6 days, so that's where I am at in my cycle.

  • Dell mic not working properly?

I have a Dell XPS M1530, running Windows Vista. Whenever I use my mic on any program (Skype, Yahoo, or just webcam), it makes my voice sound like a man. Any sound recording is really low pitched. I've tried messing with things and can't seem to fix it. Any suggestions?

  • Are teachers in Oregon mandated reporters for statutory rape?

If a teacher in Oregon is suspect that someone 18 or older is having sex with a minor, are they required to report it? I know they must with things like child abuse, but not sure about statutory rape.

  • How to share one iPod between two people?

And I'm not talking about a simple headphone splitter. A friend of mine is insistent that he saw a device being used between a ballroom dancing couple, so that they could both be listening to the same music. They both had their own headphones and apparently there was some sort of receiver/transmitter that one wore. Does anyone know anything about this device, if it even does exist?

  • Have you ever heard of a graduate school revoking admission for this reason?

So here is my question. Hypothetically, a student is admitted to a graduate program that requires a 3.0 GPA for admission. Before finishing their undergrad degree, they get a little lazy and maybe get a C or two, bringing their cumulative GPA below a 3.0 but they still graduate with good standing. I thought that as once you're already admitted, you're not going to get your admission revoked unless you don't graduate...people always say that their grades don't matter now that they got into grad school. However, my friend is insisting that you still have to maintain that GPA. Obviously it could vary school to school, but have you ever heard of that happening?

  • I have Target-brand fake Uggs and they got wet...what do I do?

  • Any tips for introducing cats to each other?

I'm about to bring my cat (a little over a year old, female) into a home that already had a cat (a couple months younger, male). Both are fixed. I know the basics of keeping my cat in a closed room, letting the other cat have the reign of his territory while they get to know each other through the door, but does anyone have any good tips?

  • Where is a good place in Portland, OR to go out with a large group of people?

I am trying to plan a birthday party (for an adult, not a child!) and I may have around 30 people attending. My original plan was just to go to Red Robin for dinner but now there may be too many people to do that! Do you have any good ideas for places we could go that could accommodate us all - dinner, dancing, drinks, whatever...I'm open to anything!

  • How long until a car runs out of gas after the gas light comes on?

So basically I'm wondering about, on average, how much gas is left in a car when the gas warning light comes on? I drive a 2002 Nissan Sentra if that helps anything lol...

  • Can you help me figure out this mystery bird?

    Here's my clues:

    + It is a bird

+ Just think it all has to do with the color because it mates with a duck so it is a _____ ______.

+ It is mostly several shades of brown but it has some pink as well and very little black

+ The mother is a _____ and the father is a duck and that is what makes it the color that it is....

+ It has a pretty good size beak not to large not to small.

+ It says on the ground and never really flys if it does only for very short distances and because it is scared and it only flys a few feet off the ground... it prefers the ground or shallow water....

+ It likes salt water lakes and ponds or ocean bays mostly it prefers to be around the muddy areas but it likes sand as well...

+ It can sit in the water but not swim... it mostly just stands in shallow water.

+ It eats shrimp, fish, flowers... etc.

+ Its average weight is around 15 to 45 lbs.

+ Usually in zoos there is a large section for these but they are mixed with others of the same kind of thing that are slightly different and more common.

This is for a contest for a $200 gift card so I would love it if anyone knows!!!

  • Do cats tend to eat less when going through heat?

My kitten is going through heat for the first time, and I notice she hasn't eaten or drank much since she started. She normally has a very healthy appetite & eats/drinks a lot! Is this normal?

I am looking for a fairly inexpensive place to get married in Portland, OR that ALLOWS OUTSIDE CATERING. One of the places I'm considering right now is Bell Tower Chapel. Any other good suggestions?
