1 AnswerPersonal Finance9 years agoAccused of animal neglect?
I have a 2 year old german shepherd that stays as a guard dog at our house which is getting building work done to it. She has only been there about a month and has a wee shed with bedding, a big bucket of water and plenty of food. Food and water gets checked and refreshed twice a day as my partner goes out to check her and the building work every day. She also has about a 4 metre run to the shed and an area to go to the toilet. So we had a phone call from the police- 1st contact from them saying one of the neighbours had rang to say no one had been near the dog in over 2 weeks. My partner hadn't been to the house the day before but the dog had enough food and water to last. Now they are saying that it is total neglet even though she has everything she needs and wants. How can they justify this as she us regulary checked by the vet, has a good coat and is a good weight. You can tell she is a happy dog. We would have her at the rented house we are at while building work is being done but there is strictly no pets allowed. It's really upset me this has happened and was just wondering am I neglecting my dog and just in denial? Surely people who have dogs and work all day for example leaving them outside or at home are not accused of neglect? If anyone could give me a bit of advice or has a bit of literature on the matter would be appreciated. Thanks for Reading!!!
4 AnswersOther - Pets1 decade agoCredit card missing payment!?
Last month I made the minimum payment on my credit card bill. But I rang up this month as a new statement came in saying I owed triple the amount of what it usually is on the bill, and they said they did not receive any payment for last month. and now I have searched for the reciept and can't find it as I shread all my bank stuff. The bank also said they are looking a final payment and my card has been cancelled because of this and there is no making an arrangement with them. What am I supposed to do? They said it will also take 3 years to get my credit back in order again too. I'm really stressing here about it so any help at all I would be greatful!!
7 AnswersCredit1 decade agoGetting the MMR jab...again!? ?
I'm 21 years old and when I fell pregnant my blood was tested. It came back that I am not immune to measles, mumps or rubella despite having had all my jabs as a baby and the booster jab when a teenager. The midwife said they will give me the mmr jab again after having the baby but I'm wondering do I really need it? And if they give it to me how do I know its going to work this time?
5 AnswersInfectious Diseases1 decade agoWill my baby arrive early and how can i tell? ?
I'm nearly 30 weeks pregnant, and so far I am having a healthy and normal pregnancy. In the past few weeks I have been getting bad cramps that only lasts for a couple of minutes then go, iv been told these are braxton hicks and my body is just getting ready for birth. But today they were really bad, and I had to run to the toilet with loose stools and I feel very unwell and tired. Is this normal or will my baby arrive early? I would ask the midwife but I'm not booked in till next week. Should I ring the maternity ward and see what they say or am I just panicking as its my 1st and iv no idea what's going on!!
Thanks!!
3 AnswersPregnancy1 decade ago21 weeks pregnant and a small bump?
Im 5 foot 7 and a size 10/12. im still fitting into my normal clothes and people are surprised when i tell them im pregnant as i dont look it. The last visit to the midwife she said there wasnt a pick on me but wasnt concerned but that was 4 weeks ago.
Since then iv had the flu and been feeling really unwell and tired, I didnt have morning sickness or anything, and i can feel the baby moving around. Scans have shown that the baby is healthy but im still waiting for my 20 week scan.
Im eating healthy and doing about half an hours exercise everyday but nothing strenuous
Should i be concerned??
3 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoBullying neighbours...what can i do?
It started over parking issues. In our apartment we have 3 cars. All the other apartments in the block have 2-3 cars (all of them) but they all drive mercs and BMW while we drive rusty micras. ok so the management company told us that we had to remove the cars as they "brought down the tone of the area" but we disagreed. We are in the process of moving house in the next 4 weeks but lately the nieghbours have been bullying us doing things such as throwing rubbish outside our door, throwing half eaten food and rubbish into our post box and also out a wheely bin onto one of the cars causing scratches on the roof. Today the next door neighbour knocked on the door and told me to move the car, i said which one (as there are 3) and he said "dont be acting the f**king mug with me im giving you half an hour to move the blue car". so i moved it into another space. Later on about 2 hours later my partner was outside and the neighbour came up and said we had until next week to move all the cars "or else". when my partner asked or else what- the neighbour replied "either we do this the easy way or the hard way". Im 5 months pregnant so its been pretty stressful this last while and was reduced to tears, so my partner knocked the neighbours door and told thim how stressed and upset i was the neighbour then said we had until friday to move all the cars or else he would ring the police to get them removed....
I always thought we were friendly with the people who lived right next door but he turned horrible today. What can i do to stop this- we have already said how much stress this is causing so talking to him isnt going to work. And ringing the police wont be much good as there are 18 other apartments in the block so we cant prove who has been doing the bullying behaviour. I know we are moving in a few weeks but i would hate them to think they actually drove us out and i dont think they should be bullying a 5 month pregnant woman either! Please help!! :(
3 AnswersOther - Family & Relationships1 decade agorenting a house n.ireland?
I am coming to the end of my tenancy in my home and have had a bad time with my landlord, with him not fixing things i with held the rent until he did then he illegally evicted me and it is all going to court from my side and his.
I went looking at a house with another estate agents who said they needed a landlord reference before i move, but i cant really ask my landlord as he will refuse or give a bad reference. Is there any way That the new estate agents can check my name for court proceedings and the likes. Is there any data bases in which they can check? And should i just be honest about the mess of my last tenancy agreement?

6 AnswersCleaning & Laundry1 decade agoI think my landlord has illegally evicted me?
Ok so i have had loads of problems in my rented apartment, for example over the winter period the gas boiler was leaking gas (i could smell it) and i was getting no heat or hot water, i rang the gas company who shut everything down and i kept asking my landlord to send someone out to replace it- it was in that big of a mess. so it took him 3 months to replace it, 3 months i went without heat and hot water to even wash in, all while i was paying full rent. so now i bought a new car and my partner has a car of his own and the management company kicked up because there is only 1.5 car spaces for each flat....even though they are all 3 bedroom apartments and occupied by 3 people who all have cars. so now they are trying to throw me out. i dug my heels in and wouldnt leave because i think its bullying- all over a wee car!!!!
so i was told my landlords solicitors were going for a court order which is fine by me because i want to counter sue him for damages. but i came back on thursday to find the locks had been changed and all my stuff still inside. so i rang my landlord who said he changed the locks because he claimed i had criminally damaging the flat and the communal areas. which is total bull! now i stand in one change of clothes i have been in for the past 4 days and he will not set aside time for me to get into the flat to get my stuff.
i have no idea what to do, is it harassment, he gave me no notice what so ever for changing the locks and he has not got a court order. what do i do? what can i do as im slowly running out of money to stay in a B &B and no where else to go!! also we are in N.Ireland.
1 AnswerRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoHow to deal with a spoilt child thats not mine!!?
I rent a room out to a man who works in the town but his family home is a 2 hour drive away. he is married with a 5 year old boy, and his marriage was in a bit of diffs recently, so basically he asked if i could look after his son for a few days and i agreed. The problem is he is so spoilt as he is an only child and tells lies about things that never happened and he never shuts up!! i have a 4 year old brother so im used to small children around...just not spoilt ones.
so anyway the wife came back to him and he invited them all to my house (without asking) to stay for a few days, so last night he came in and asked me to look after the son again for an hour.....4 hours later they decide to come back.
and now today his wife is at hone and went back to bed and is still laying in bed...3 hours later while i try to work.
should i just tell this fella i wont look after his son anymore. im at the end of my rag having a spoilt child throwing tantrums and demanding expensive things in the shop, while i try to do my work. oh also we have been paying for the sons food and juice and sweets that i cant afford anymore.
what should i do?? should i just start making excuses for not looking after him and keep out of the house??

2 AnswersNissan1 decade agoHow to train my Alsatian Puppy.?
I rescued an alsatian puppy from a house, she was just left to die. However she wasnt a small pup, she was 7/8 months old. At the start she was really scared of people, wouldnt eat and would hide everytime anyone went near her.
Now she is about 9 months old and bold as brass! she is very badly behaved and i dont want to hit her as she was most likely abused before I got her.
She nips and bites while playing, goes mad and jumps on everyone and wont sit to get a lead on to go for a walk.
I have tried being assertive, tried treats and toys, everything1 is there anything else I can do?
Sometimes she is well behaved, other times she is a torture.

3 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoHaving problems with my lodger!!?
It started this evening when the radiator was leaking in our house. My partner asked our lodger if he had hit it with a set of weights which was laying beside the radiator,he said no. so that was ok, so we asked him to move the weights as when the plumber comes to fix it he will probably think it was us that hit it. thats when he just flipped and went mad. he started smacking his hands in a fist motion in my partners face, making threats and shouting abuse at us (all because we asked him to move a set of weights he had left lying)
he shouted and was provoking my partner to try and hit him, and started firing things on the ground, to damage the floor. he then said that he would get his friends to come round and sort my partner out.
so what do we do now? should we sleep on it, wait for things to calm down or should we chuck him out. there has never been an arguement before and he claimed after that, he was under a lot of pressure...but isnt everyone, we all have our problems.
what should we do??
please help!!
