I'm trying to install a new tub faucet?
I bought a bronze roman tub faucet kit to replace a cheap plastic faucet. The problem is the rough in kit has copper tubing for the water lines, and my pipes are pvc with hoses and screw on connectors like what's used under sinks. I bought the faucet at Lowe's, but the rough in kit was special order, so I didn't know it would be incompatible with my water lines. How can I install this kit without having to redo my pipes? The kit lines have to be soldered to the water lines. Please help?
2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs10 years agoMy little chihuahua shakes?
I was recently given a young male chihuahua. He was apparently a stray and is very thin. All of his bones can be seen, He is a good eater, very energetic and gets along great with my much larger cat. He will be going to the vet soon to see if he has worms or a medical condition that is causing him to not gain weight. My question is that he shakes a lot. Not the nervous, cold shivering, but like he's trying to shake something off of himself, like water. He's clean and has no fleas, does anyone have any ideas on why he constantly shakes like this? I've not seen this before.
5 AnswersDogs1 decade agoMobile home electrical problem?
I plugged my computer into a wall opposite from where it was, then the electricity went out in the front half of the trailer. From the living room to the front bedroom no lights work, and each room has only two or three outlets that work. In the bathroom nothing works. The other half of the house is fine. None of the breakers were tripped, nor was the outside box. Someone mentioned that it was probably an open circuit in one of the lights that don't work. I replaced the outlet I plugged into & checked all the lights but nothing. Any ideas that will help me avoid a several hundred $$$ bill?
10 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoAre there any heating/furnace pros here?
I have a 5 yr. old mobile home with a Nordyne/Intertherm CH/CA system. The heater worked fine last winter & the AC was great this summer. When I lit the pilot last month, the heater did not work right. When it comes on it only runs for about 11/2 min. max. It blows air well, but it isn't very warm, almost like it's blowing the heat from the pilot only. I changed the thermostat & thermocouple but it made no difference. Also, the pilot flame isn't small like it should be, it's pretty big & doesn't change whether the furnace is running or not. Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem might be and how much to fix? I should add that although it worked fine last year, when it would shut off I could hear a noise like a brushing sound coming from the furnace & then a thud at the end. It doesn't make these noises now.

I want to change a rocker switch to a dimmer in my dining room. This switch only controls the light I want to dim. The problem I have is, when I pulled out the box, there are 3 sets of 3 wires, 2 black & 1 copper ground in each. The instuctions with the dimmer don't show what to do with all of these wires. The dimmer is a single pole or three way. How to install this dimmer safely? I can't afford an electrician to do it. I've switched out alot of lights, ceiling fans & outlets, not complicated. But I've never done a switch before & this one has me confused with all the wires.

10 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling1 decade agoquestion about my furnace?
I have an Intertherm furnace in my 2003 mobile home. It works fine, but after the blower shuts off it makes a clicking noise like blades hitting something & a "thump" after that. This just started this season. The thump scares me a little. Any ideas on what could be causing this?
4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoQuestion about property taxes?
I bought a mobile last year. The taxes weren't added to the mortgage payment. I received my tax bill in dec, but was unable to make the partial payment. Now I received a letter stating my taxes are delinquent & the county is sending it to the sheriff if not paid in full by April 15. I cannot come up with $600. by then & they refuse payments. Can I lose my house if I can't pay this by April? I'm planning on having the taxes added with the insurance on my mortgage, but that won't help me this year. Any help or suggestions would be great. This is my first home & I don't want to lose it.
