Artist/Comic Books, Artist on TV and movie productions. I live in Northern California near the Russian River, Armstrong Redwoods and the Pacific Coast. *Look up Sebastopol to get and idea of the life styles of this area. They call river folks R Rats. Many comic book writers/artists live around here. I have lots of animals: 2 dogs (a Dalmation. and a Rat Terrier). There are also 3 cat beasties. I kayak and swim in the RRiver...The ocean is too dangerous for swimming. And I gave up surfing several years ago because I blew out my knees. Guatemala is one of my favorite places and have lived there.....thus my interest in the Maya and my attendance @ the Maya Meetings at UT in Austin, TX. Great music and neat people there (Guate and Austin)! I have been working on a Graphic Novel for 5+ years. My comic partner lives in NY and we do a lot of our work via the computer, web cam and headset phone. San Francisco is 70 mi south of here and I consider it home.

  • What does regular run of the mill beer taste like to you?

I'm so use to GREAT organic beer like the brew from the Ukiah Brewing Co in NorCal. The weekend of the Super Bowl I was hanging out watching the game in an Irish pub in San Francisco and got a rude awakening. The expensive imported brew on tap tasted like watered down Coors (pi__). I said something to the bar tender and was asked to leave.

  • How do I recycle the moisture that accumulates in the salt crystal humidifier?

What do I do with the water that accumulates in the salt container in my dehumidifier?

I have a room on my house that leaked several years ago and now it has a mold smell which is especially bad during the rainy season.

A friend said to use a dish of salt crystals as a dehumidifier. So far it is working! BUT now I don't know what to do with the collected water.

I live in the forest so it is dark and damp in the winter. The house is damp if we don't keep the heat cranked up. I do not want to use an electric humidifier. I recall that the use of an electric light can help with keeping the room warm and thus less damp.

Another thing that you should know, we have a septic system and am concerned that if I pour the salty water down the toilet it will effect the bacterial balance of the septic.

    1) Shall I continue to use both the lite and the salt crystals?

    2) How do I recycle the moisture that accumulates in the salt crystal bowl???

  • What is the name of this toy????

It consisted of a smooth log (about 2' in length and 12" in circumference) and a balancing board (plywood) which you stood on, rolling back and forth trying to keep your balance without falling off the board....In the early days, some of us new at surfing used it to practice our balancing act! THIS IS A REAL QUESTION.

  • Do you know what this fruit is called?

In the city of Sonoma CA, there is a row of trees on 2nd Street that produce a Fall crop of fruit that is chartreuse and yellow . The tree looks like a Cottonwood tree (not as tall) and the fruit resembles a human brain, varying in size from a softball to a large Grapefruit. It smells like a cross between a pineapple and pine tree. I have trepidation about eating this fruit as I cannot find any reference to it's toxic nature.

  • What do you do when your kid won't come home at night if he's out partying with his friends?

Part 2) the fact that he is going back to juvenile hall if he breaks his parole doesn't make any difference to him.

I know he has to take responsibility for his actions but just how much do I need to be responsible for his choices?

Starting when he was 13 yrso he has been in several rehab programs. He will be 16 in several months and he learned to read (dyslectic) at the last facility. He has a wonderful personality and is loved by everyone who meets him.

He was born a crack baby and so it is difficult for him to not abuse the full gambit of stimulants that are available out there.

AND I can't tie a rope around his leg and the other end to his bed. Note: He has lost his cell phone.

Question: Under similar circumstances, what have you done that was successful in supporting a member of your family or a friend? (I am attending Al-Anon)

My sincere appreciation for any info that you can share.
