What steps can an immigrant (in Ireland) take to finalize citizenship if spouse refuses to sign final documents?
It is not all Developing Countries' folk who want to flee to other countries. However, in LDRs compromises are made. My friend, at her husband's pleading, left her position as an executive chef at a leading hotel chain to join her husband in Ireland. The transition has not been smooth and they're both to be held accountable. He put her out and gave her 7 weeks to get her citizenship papers in order. Now, less than 7 weeks later, he needs to sign the documents. He refuses to.
Returning home to start all over seems a bit snail-like.
Any advice?
2 AnswersImmigration6 years agoI've got a double barrel surname, what am I called?
I've been married for four years. There was never an intention of changing my surname. Husband has no issues...couldn't be bothered. Eventually, in renewing vital records, state began causing trouble-small country. So I have two surnames no hyphen after three years of keeping my surname. I am now updating banking etc. when it becomes necessary.
My question really is 'Am I to be called Mrs. Husband's name or Ms. Maiden name?' It is only at work that my boss makes a fuss about it. Everywhere else, my maiden name is still used.... even when I introduce myself.

If asked which nation rallied with America to fight terrorism? Grammatically speaking, can the answer 'British' , English, French, be accepted?
Should the question be nation-state if the desired answer is England or France....?
It's a question of grammatical correctness.
Thank you for your help.
3 AnswersWords & Wordplay1 decade agoWhy would my husband's ex want to apologize to me?
A young woman who insists that my husband (then my boyfriend) was seeing her during our courtship, wants to apologize to me.
Even when I suspected nothing, she and her family made sure that I knew that she was seeing him. He denies it to this day. I continued ot play pleasant with her but I think today's begining of an apology is a bit much.
I don't want to appear unforgiving in case she might be sincere when the apology continues.
She claims that she does not know why but feels that she must. It was a vision.
This just seems too much like something in a movie. I would not have thought it possible until it happened to me.
Suggestions for how I should react and why.

1 AnswerEngagements & Weddings1 decade agoWhy do we assume that Michael Jacksons children will be better off without him and without being shouded when?
We're hearing statements like 'the children will finally get a shot at a real life.'
According to whom? Do children of stars really get a shot at a real life if their parents do not protect them from the public's abuse?
Similarly, why is the worst usually assumed about parents and the way they treat their children?

4 AnswersMathematics1 decade agoWhy do we comment if we have nothing constructive to say?
I know there is a point system going on here but some people can abuse a luxury.
1. an important question may be asked and some of us forget that we all do not share the same cultures making derogatory or short sarcastic comments
some askers may genuinely need answers.
2. some say nothing except yes/no to a question which clearly asks for an explanation
3. on certain occasions people insult children who ask for help
nothing to say? say nothing....
at times you see askers pointing out 'no rude comments'
i thin ksome people use this as a place to lash out at the end of the day.
correct me if I am misinterpreting it all

2 AnswersTrying to Conceive1 decade agoLooking for a bridal gown fabric store?
I am not from the U.S / Paris / U.K and will not be travelling there to get a gown.
I know its unwise to buy one online I have experienced the trouble. Everything i buy online needs adjustments and hots are costly. at times by the time the seamstresses are through I don't even want the gowns again.
So I'd just prefer to make what I have in mind-not too fancy.
would like ot purchase the fabric 1 year ahead of time ot give them sufficient time so if it does not come out right i will have time just buy one of those things. not interested in white. interested in ivory or champagne.
any ideas on a reliable store especially online. can get someone to buy offline for me.
i've taken a look at denverfabriccs, fabri.com and joann.
any other ideas?
help is appreciated.

1 AnswerWomen's Health1 decade agoWhen a feminist gets divorced what is expected?
Several times I've read comments from women who claim to be feminists and want to be equal to men.
I don't feel sorry for men but sometimes I have to wonder.
My question: If a feminist gets divorced and earns a higher income than her ex, who should pay allowance? shouldn't it be the feminist?
or is there selective feminism?

2 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoHow do you deal with girls who want your b.f?
you've been with a guy for at least 10years. you've gone through hell and back with him when out of the blue comes this claim form a younger child that they [b.f and her] were a couple before you. you very much doubt that that could be but then the remarks from her family members start coming and are hurled at you as you move on with your life. your b.f finds this incredulous and is tempted not to believe your situation. how do you deal with these people. ignoring them works sometimes not all the time. at times the remarks really sting.

I don't mean ribbons, I mean whole dresses. or should we resort ot prom dresses? Any ideas out there? If I do get married I think I'd have to be pretty drunk to wear white.
