I know that 1 in 4 people owe more on their house then what it's worth but I don't understand how that can be bad if you have a regular mortgage payment (fixed) and you haven't lost your job.

I understand why people who have adjustable rates are upset about it being worth less then they paid but I don't understand what it affects if your still in ok shape financially. I mean, other then not being able to sell your house any time soon, I don't understand.

-NOT a homeowner, btw. Never been through the process, so there may be something I'm totally missing.

So strange, all these anti-socialism rants in support of a man who from birth until death will have had every paycheck, medical bill, all of his travel, and all of his expenses bought and paid for by the government. The man spent his childhood and entire adult life within the confines of big government, yet he's on the anti-big government ticket. I guess the irony is lost...

McCain is showing the American People "all of the signs" of not being fit -period. Not just warming a seat in the Senate but no where near the White House.

He and his entire camp has no position course, no issues, no platform, no policies, NO Ideas!

They have tried to pull the training wheels off Palin and she's all over the place in her ditzy answers to extremely important questions.

The McCain camp is in serious Crisis as he continue to repeat.

If McCain, and Palin WIN, we will see the most secretive, and corrupt presidency ever. John McCain, and Sarah Palin are acting WORST than Bush, and Cheney, and they are not even in the White House yet!!!

I really don't understand why anyone would vote for McCain/Palin.

McCain is basically Bush. If you zoom out here for a second and note that republicans have been in charge for the last 8 years and it's thier tax / spending policies that have gotten us into this mess, why ON EARTH would you want to vote them back in???

And Palin is just Dick Cheney w/ lipstick. Acutally, she's not as smart. If anyone saw that charlie gibson interview, you'd be completely out of your mind to think this woman could do the job as VP when she clearly does not know anything about policies or national security.

Wake up people! Why vote republican? They created this!

Here's the deal.....we HAVE to raise taxes. It's inevitialbe and part of living in our country.

WHy? Well partly because of the war in Iraq. But the main reason is because of the economy.

I say, raise taxes specifically on those who voted for Bush.....maybe that will teach them to vote more wisely next time. YOU can pay for the war he started while the rest of us try to survive and keep our house.

McCain has fought against wind and solar and alternative energy for his entire career because he genuinely but mistakenly believes "The truly clean technologies don't work"

Even his commericals show windmills........he's never even voted for solar energy in the last 8 years.

Flat out lies about Obama and raising taxes.

McCain is for cutting taxes for the wealthest 2% of the nation.

But turn around last night and praise McCain for being in Vietnam?

Also, I find it very interesting that McCain is a veteran and POW yet he has done NOTHING for his fellow veterans. Disagree? Please tell me exactly what he has voted for to improve our veterans.

The Republicans are getting a taste of their own medicine. Take it and weep. The Democrats have put up with their smears way to long, these aren't smears, this is truth about Sarah Palin, thats the difference.

McCain may get so upset about this, he might just show us one of his temper tantrums, now that would be the end of his Run for the Presidency. Show the world your temperment John, so then we will know we don't want your had on any buttons.

Then why is Bush on my TV trying to tell me that McCain is the ONLY one who can keep us safe from terrorists and knows about 9/11?

As of today, a prediction market started with the odds of Sarah Palin dropping out of the race.

Some people are saying that "She is going to withdraw stating that she needs to be with her family more... "

This decision has completely hurt McCain.

I mean come on! Look at all the stuff that is coming out about Sarah Palin. I honestly think that McCain saw Obama's speech and freaked out.

If this is how they run their campaign .... how do you think they will run the country?

These people are walking disasters waiting to happen. Do NOT vote these people in to power.

I would say that is karma at it's best.

For a man who is 72 years old and has had four bouts with cancer to have chosen someone so completely unqualified to become president is shockingly irresponsible.

Obviously picking Palin is a desperate choice because he can't compete with Obama's popularity and youth.

He's trying to win votes away from Obama as if the 84,000 people at his speech last night are unsure of voting for him. The days of just saying 9/11 and people thinking the Democrats won't keep us safe are long gone. He can't just pick a young inexprenced woman and expect to win.

By picking a random woman for his VP (eventhough she has LESS experience that Obama) who has mentally disabled child.

That is seriously LOW.

Sounds like the same old Republican song and dance to me. Old man out of touch with what's going on in the world today.

At least with Obama, he is full immersed in what is going on around the world and in the US.

Why would anyone want McCain to continue what we've had for the last 8 years?

He is 72 which means he's far past the age of retirement. How many 72 year olds do you work with?
