Creative Memories

I am a Creative Memories Consultant. I am going to be at a craft fair next Saturday. I have a question for you. Would you be offend or would you pass by me if I was working on a scrapbook during the craft fair? I can muti-task and I do not plan to do a lot of work on the book its self. I just think it would be cool to work on it and talk to people at the same time?? I will have products on hand and I can take orders too!

What do you think??? Go for it or Forget it???

Hi ~

I just became a creative Memories Consultant. ( http://www.creativememories.com)./ And had the idea of having an OPEN HOUSE at my home to gain customers and to show new products. I live in the country and so I don't know how well this will go. Has anybody here who has a home base business ( Mary Kay, Avon, Creative Memories, Etc... ) ever done anything like this???? If so how did you advertise?? How did you get people to come to your house and check things out??? Let me know! And if you have any advice on getting customers please let me know!

Hello all!

Sadly I had to leave the playgroup I was in. ( too much drama) Now I would like to start up my own Stay at Home Mom's playgroup in my area. I live in Northern California in the town of Cottonwood. The largest town is north of us is called Redding. We will meet up at least 4 time a month and have a Mom's night out at least once a month. I would love to have mom's interested in Scrap booking as well in the group. I really would like to have a great name for the group. Here are the two I have come up with.

If you belong to the group what rules do you have to "obey"? Any suggestions or ideas would be so helpful.

I am trying to put together a scrapbook club for moms. The goal of the group is to get our scrapbooks done and to socialize. I also hope that we can get our kids together from time to time to have fun too. I am going to a ladies night out with my Mommy & Me play group on the 19th. We are getting all "dolled" up for this night out! I need to find two things. #1. A good pair of pantyhose that will make my tummy look as flat as possible & a good strapless bra that is comfortable and that will give my boobs a boost! I have had 3 kids. Trying to start up a playgroup. I have no idea what to call it. I live in Northern CA. In the town we live in we are famous for: Turtle Bay Exploration Park, Sundial Bridge, Hot Summer days, Sacramento River, Salmon (The fish) , Fishing, Shasta Lake & Mt. Shasta.

Can you think of a very catchy name that would grab moms attention? Also where would you advertise a playgroup? Any ideas would be great! Thanks!

We are thinking of taking my kids to San Diego, CA. for spring break. One of the places we are thinking of taking the kids is to the USS Midway Aircraft Carrier. Has anybody ever taken there kids there? My cousin who lives there says it is not kid friendly at all and she would not take her kids there. Does anybody agree with her statement? If you have been there tell me about it. Would you bring your kids there? My two boys are 6 & 3. And my little girl when we go there will be almost 16 months old. She will be carried in a backpack. I am going to my first playgroup tomorrow. If it doesn't work out I am planing to start up my own play group just for Stay at Home Moms. My question to you is this, how do I go about doing this? I was thinking of making up a page on facebook, my space and Cafe' Mom. I was going to put flyers up around town and at the chambers of commoners. I am planning a St. Patty's day dinner that is kid friendly. I was wondering if any of you have ever had a dinner party like this? Other than Corn beef and cabbage what else did you serve? There will be no drinking ( beer, wine, etc..) so what other drinks did you think that I should serve?

My husband & I are wanting to open a pet store by fall 2010. We have written a grant proposal and want to send it to get grants from the government. We have tried twice and we were scammed! I was wondering if any of you have written for grants and actually gotten the grant that you were writing for? If so, where did you send the grant proposal? Do you have an address or website? I am a mom to 3 kids. My boys are 6 & 3 and my little girl is 14 months old. I was wondering if you have ever made a picture routine chart for your kids? If so how did you do it? Is there a web site that I can go to for help? Do to owning our own business my kids never had a real routine. But I would like them to have one that is flexable. Hi there~

I am not a morning person. I would rather mornings ( and my son's school for that matter) to start around 10 or 11:00 AM. Sadly life doesn't work that way. So I need help on trying to be better at waking up and getting up when my alarm goes off. I am not that organized in the morning either. Any advice or suggestions on how to get my self going, get my oldest son going ( he takes after mom) and just start the day right in the morning.

I am joining a stay at home mom playgroup this Thursday. I am a little nervous and shy. Can you give me pointers on how to dress and how to get these women to like me. My name is Jennifer, and I live in Northern California. I am a Mama to 3 kids. My two boys are 6 & 3 and my little girl is 1. I have been looking for playgroups and for the life of me I can't find any. I would like to start up my own playgroup. Can you help me with ideas on starting one? I would like to met 2-4 times a week, have a Mom's night out once a month. Maybe having a scrapbook night twice a month. Where would you start in starting up a playgroup? We are having a garage sale this weekend. Sadly there is a 40% chance of rain this sat. I was thinking of having the garage sale in the garage. How can I do this so that people know that is where I am selling things. I don't want them to think that the garage is just opened.
