2 AnswersChemistry2 years agoHow can you tell you are buying a genuinely new and unused power bank (portable charger) that isn't second hand? Is there a way of knowing?
I'm talking about buying online and not necessarily from a well known reputable seller. Is there any way to know a power bank is completely unused and not second hand? How do I know if say a 10,000 mAh power bank hasn't been used for many charges but is being passed off as new?

1 AnswerPolls & Surveys5 years agoWhat exactly does "fliegen Sie auch" mean in English?
I know it is German for either "Do you also fly?" or "Are you also flying?" If you know which of these two is the correct English translation, do you also perhaps know what the German translation for the other one is? Many Thanks.
2 AnswersLanguages7 years agoWhat is the difference between "was dachtest du" and "was hast du gedacht"?
What is the difference between "was dachtest du" and "was hast du gedacht"? Do they both mean in familiar form "what did you do"? If so, how do they really differ? Although it seems obvious that the second German translation is past tense, I would have thought the first German translation would be present tense, but according to both Pimsleur and Google, it seems to be past tense. Many Thanks.
3 AnswersLanguages7 years agoWhat is the name for this in the English language?
Here is an example: Soma was a mythological nectar of immortality revered in ancient India. It was similar to ambrosia of the Greeks. The true reference to this nectar was "Soma-Rasa", because Soma was a plant and Rasa was the nectar from the plant. However, the name of the plant itself (Soma) is often used on its own in reference to the nectar that comes from it. Is there an English word to describe this type of naming? I'm sure there are other examples, but cannot think of them. Thanks
3 AnswersWords & Wordplay7 years agoWhat is the name of the feel-good shivering, relaxing recovery symptoms following illness?
I've experienced it many times after being ill, and it is such a lovely relaxing feeling of bliss, especially when you are going to bed. It seems to be a time where your body is least stressed and finds it incredibly easy to relax and sleep. I have never read about this or heard anyone speak about it, but just experienced it on rare occasions. You just curl up with a lovely shivery feel in your body, and go to sleep. Thanks.

I mean Stephan (with a "ph" instead of "f" and an "a" instead of "e"). What is the difference between this and "Stefan"?
1 AnswerLanguages7 years agoWhat is the cheapest device I can use to download a flashcards app from my iCloud?
I assume it may have to be a smartphone, but I need a separate (very cheap) device just for viewing my many flashcards on this app for revision purposes. I want to use a desperate device to my iPhone 5 to revise my flashcards without the need of any other features on it. The screen would need to be at least the same size as the iPhone 5 in order to render my flashcard material properly. I would rather not simply use my iPhone because I spend a lot of time outside and need to revise outside during the winter, and I worry that exposing it for hours in sub zero temps will damage it. It cost me £600 and can't risk that. Any cheap alternative device to download flashcards+ from my iCloud would be suitable. If I know what to go for then I can simply search for a used one on eBay to get a cheap deal. Thanks for your advice.
