I have a spreadsheet that I am updating. It has several absolute formulas in it. When I delete the columns, the cell references for the numbers change but not in the formula so it is looking at incorrect data in the calculations. The rows are ok. How do I updated the absolute references with out going through each formula? Is there an easy way to do this in Excel 2010?

I need to password protect my blog. I use blog spot. I want to assign a user name and password so that people do not have to get a Google account. Can it be done and how?

is always 'copy of filename.xls' How can I make the 'Copy of' go away?

Example:

File is Help.xls. I select file, save as, and then the name appears as 'Copy of Help.xls'

I want it to save as 'Help.xls'

I have two tables.

One is missing information that is in the other.

One set of values is a number and the other is a name.

One table has all the information but rather than doing a find function, I want to tell the cell in the incomplete table to to go look at the complete table and then fill in the missing information.

Does that make sense?

I want to know if there is a formula that if I have the name it will give me the number and if I have the number it will give me the name.

I am on a 1000 - 1200 calorie a day diet. My Doctor put me on it an is monitoring me every 3 months. I lost 12 lbs and the plateaued for 8 weeks and now I am gaining weight! I figure my body think I am starving and is storing glucose as fat instead of something my body can use. I walk about about 20 - 30 minutes a day. What do I so? How long before my body stops storing and starts using?

As it heals what can I expect? Anyone have any advice on what to do for the pain other than pain killers? They make me so loopy! How long should it take to heal? if A3=Zero, do nothing but if A3>0 then subtract A4, A5 and A6

The following does not work

=if(A3=0,"",A3-(A4:A6))

it gives me a #Value Error.

Then is there anyway to put both expressions in the same cell:

=IF(A9+A9<40,(40-A9),"0") and the one above provided that I can get it to work?

Ok, I have the stament written out in plain English but I can't get to work when I try to create the formula.

It reads:

If A1 is less than 40.00 then give me the product of (40 - A1), if A1 equals 40.00 then don't do anything.

I need the number in the cell that I am writing in to be the difference from 40.00 or 40.00 if A1 = 40.00.

So far I have:

if(A1<40.00,(40.00-A1),40.00)

And I know that is wrong!
