  • Internet connection on my laptop is not working?

I have an HP Pavilion running Windows 8. I can't connect to the internet for more than 10-30 minutes before the internet just stops working. I get either zero bars and a little error badge or an empty looking computer monitor thing where my wifi signal should be. So it will connect, but after a few minutes the connection just stops, i restart my computer and it connects again for another 10-30 minutes but then the connections shuts off again.

It's not my modem/connection because my other computers and laptops and phones run and connect just fine, it's just this one laptop.

  • How often do mechanical failures cause cars to crash?

Okay, so in light of the recent GM recall and the Honda Fit fire incidents before that and the Toyota Prius acceleration problem before that and the Ford Pinto explosions before that, I was just wondering how often manufacturer defects cause a car to crash or cause a simple crash to become much more severe?

My mental image that keeps popping up is the movie Fight Club, where the narrator goes around inspecting all the crashes caused by manufacturing errors and calculates weather it's worth it to recall them. When the businesswoman asks the narrator how often these kinds of crashes happen, he say "You have no idea."

Is that true? Do manufacturer errors cause a large number of car crashes? Before you answer, know that I'm not panicked about it. I still drive every day and I really don't care, I'm quite blase about my own death and even if you told me half of all car accidents occur as a result of manufacturer error, I'd probably keep driving. Industry experience would be a big plus, thanks!

  • Help with my internet connection?

Okay, so I have a netgear wifi adapter on my computer, which is connected, but for whatever reason it won't connect to the internet. When I troubleshoot, it says "There might be a problem with the driver for the Wireless Network Connection 2 adapter." Please help.

  • I need some career advice.?

I know it's boring and I probably wont get many answers but if your still reading thanks.

So, i'm a high school junior; I like English and Social Studies, Foreign Languages, and Business but I HATE math and science. I get good grades, almost all A's, I really don't know what I want to do, I'd just like something stable, and i'm not great at handling stress, so something low stress would be preferable but not mandatory. I really have no idea what I want to do, maybe one of the more human sides of business such as PR, Human Resources, or Purchasing. What majors would be good for these, or what majors do you think would be good for me. I was thinking Major in Sociology and minor in Economics, what do you think?

    Thank you.

  • Teacher job market? Northwest?

I am currently a high school student. Ever since I was young I have wanted to be a teacher (probably Social Studies but maybe Spanish). I'm a junior now, and I know the job market is competitive out there, especially for Social Studies teachers. I was just wondering what the job market out there; where is it best, where is it worst? If you happen to have knowledge of the Pacific Northwest region, that would be especially helpful.

  • How can you save a 2010 office document so you can open it in an earlier version?

Okay, So I've got this blind chemistry teacher who does almost everything over the internet. He e-mails us our notes and we open them at home and print them out. Sounds good...but he has Microsoft Office 2012 and I have measly Microsoft office 2007, and it won't open the documents he e-mails me. Is there any way he can save them or something so that I can open them with 2007?

    2. Some kind of hunting rifle, a Remington or something

    3. A military grade machine gun

    4. a smaller military grade gun, like a military handgun or something

  • Complex Question about bankruptcy and a civil judgment?

Okay, My ex-landlord won a suit against me for about $5,000 (He was originally asking $11,000 for damages to a 20 year old house that he would not repair anything in or on) Anyways, so now I owe him around $5,000 I tried to appeal but the appeal won't go through until he sets a date or something and he won't do that because now...my employer is garnishing my wages. After the money is taken out of my paycheck i will not have enough to pay my bills so I'm considering filing for Chapter 9 bankruptcy. Will filing for bankruptcy get rid of the civil judgment against me?

  • Is it legal for my landlord to contact my employer after I broke a lease?

I was renting a house on a month to month basis (no six month lease or whatever) but my husband lost his job and we could not afford rent, we moved in with my parents oweing 2 months rent. The next week, my employer came to me and said my landlord had called him and informed him that I had broken my lease. Is that normal or legal? I didn't loose my job or anything, my boss was not even bothered, but it still kind of disturbed me because my boss and my landlord were aquantiances... Is this defamation of character or something? It just seems wrong.

  • What country should I move to?

I am very worried that the U.S. is at the beginning of a long downward spiral and I would like to get out before it gets really bad.

    I have some information about me to help you;

-I am Jewish, so a country with at least some Jewish community would be great but it's not necessary.

-I am planning on becoming an R.N.

-Wherever I move needs to be developed, or at least a second world country.

  • Are Minneapolis Summers really bad?

I currently live in Atlanta but I am considering relocation to Minneapolis. I love the freezing, snowy winters but I am worried about those Summers. I hear that they are warm but very humid and that mosquito's are a major problem. I want to know, how bad are the summers? And how would they compare with say...Atlanta summers? Or Jacksonville Summers if that helps you...I am originally from Jacksonville, Florida.

  • What area are pugs originally from?

What area are pugs originally from?

I was watching Marie Antoinette with Kristen Dunst, and there was that scene where she has to give up her dog, a pug, which makes me think they are originally Austrian or German or something like that because that's where she was from, but I may be wrong...

  • Where can I find a job as a dental hygienist?

I am a high school student, I used to want to be a dentist, but decided against it because I don't have a lot of money and don't want to go into debt, and I'm not he greatest at Chemistry and math. so I decided against it. I changed my mind and now I am thinking of going into dental hygiene.

    Really my question is...

What U.S. cities have the highest demand for dental hygienists now? Also, It has always been a dream of mine to move to Canada, so if anyone has a good idea of the situation up there, that would be great.

    Thank you

  • Can you teach regular classes with a special education degree?

Okay, I am a high school student and children with special needs has always been an interest of mine. I would just like to know if you can teach regular classes in a school, say English, if you have a degree in Special education? So, I'm asking...can you get certified and hired on to teach anything with a special education degree, or are you limited in your career choices to special education?

    Thank you

P.S. I am aware that this is a sensitive field and I meant to pose this question intelligently, If I used any incorrect terminology or offended anyone, let me apologize now, but please correct me.

  • I want to be a teacher at an American embassy?

I am an American high school student who plans to attend university to become a teacher. I have a vested interest in world affairs, foreign languages and culture, geography, and current events so I though I would enjoy getting to work for the state department as a teacher. So, I guess my question is, does the state department hire teachers and if so, how does one go about becoming a teacher in an overseas embassy.

  • I think I want to be a teacher?

I am a high school student and I am thinking about becoming a teacher. My best subjects are English and Social studies so I think that's what I want to teach (at the High School or maybe Middle School level). I would like some information as to what the job outlook is like for teachers, how hard is it to find a job, and what should I be conscious about as I pursue an education career?

  • Relocating to Minneapolis?

I currently live in Atlanta, GA. I am an English teacher who has ESL experience but that is not currently what I am teaching. I would like information or links to give me details on relocation to Minneapolis, furthermore, if anyone has any information on the specific subject of teaching in Minneapolis, that would be splendid. Any information on the city (really the metro area...Bloomington or Edina maybe, but really the whole metropolitan area.)

  • Where is a great place to be a teacher?

    Hello!

I graduated from college with a bachelors degree in Secondary English Education, I taught English as a Second Language in South Korea for a year, and in the process found out that I have a deep passion for education. I currently live back here in my childhood home, a far-flung suburb of Orlando, Florida. There is practically no work to be found around here, and I want to move to a much larger city anyways. So I am just looking right now, I want to know where a good place to work and live as a teacher is. I am willing to relocate to basically anywhere in the country (I love adventure). I would like to move to at least a medium-sized city, but the larger the better. I need to know somewhere that is actively scrapping to get teachers, especially English and English as a Second Language, if I was to move to another state I might be getting certification to teach business classes as well. Thank you for all your assistance.
