I'm studying Chinese in Beijing, and really like a food here, in Chinese I believe it is called 牛肉罐饼. It is prepared on a griddle by heating a rectangle of dough, then flipping it. the dough then inflates, I'm not sure why, then it is punctured with chopsticks and an egg is cracked inside of the dough. Thin slices of beef, lettuce, and sauce are added, and the dough+egg mixture is rolled around them. It's a bit like a burrito but a very different taste. Sorry if my question is a bit vague, but does anyone know how to make the dough which puffs like this, or how to make dough puff like this?

I have a large frameless glass door which has three metal hinges holding up the door. The problem is that when the door is opened or closed it makes a loud noise, not a creak, but a noise which doesn't sound good. It sounds as if the glass is bending and then grinding back into place. The door still opens and closes fine, but the noise is worrying.

Any tips on getting rid of this noise?

I'm living in a dorm room with no air conditioning (at least not that I can control), and my roommates and I think that it is too hot to sleep most nights. Does anyone know how we can keep our room colder? We have a couple of fans, but they just move the air around, and the temperature outside is no colder than inside.

I'm running windows XP on a dell dimension 8300. My drive which came with the computer (Liteon DVD-ROM LTD163) and the LG drive which I installed (HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-H10L) both suddenly stopped working. Device manager shows them as drives but says that their drivers are missing or incomplete. I can't seem to fix them, does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm majoring in mechanical engineering at UCLA as a freshman next year, and I've heard that a Windows PC is required. I've been wanting to get a Mac for quite some time, and I don't really like Vista, but I was wondering if buying a Mac will make it a pain to run programs for engineering school?

I've seen stainmaster carpet, and I was wondering which type of carpet resists stains the best. I'm redoing the carpet in a dining room, and my cats continually pee on the carpet in this room, so I need a robust carpet.

I have a swatch with a clear plastic band. I've had this watch for a few years, and because it has a clear band it really shows its age. Is there any way that i can remove some of the grime, this watch has some sentimental value, otherwise I wouldn't be asking, just wondering because it's a bit gross!

I was at a friend's house yesterday playing Wario Ware, and noticed that their minigames seemed completely different from mine (well a couple were the same). Both of us had beaten the game, and I was wondering if there is a way for me to "unlock" these games, or if there are more than one version of the game.

My friends and I are taking a trip, and we'll be missing 3 weeks of our summer workouts. We'd like to make sure we work out while we're gone so we are not completely out of shape when we return. We've decided to make a "rule" that we have to do at least one workout a day. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how we can make sure that we actually work out?

I was just wondering if it is possible that i don't dream at all. I don't think I've ever been able to recall anything I've thought during the night, excepting things I think after the alarm goes off and I'm still half asleep. So I think either I don't dream, or I have a bad memory, or I don't dream very much and have a bad memory...

My computer, while it isn't new, i don't think it's too old (2002). I can't afford a new one now anyway... it seems as if it has gotten slower lately, and i was wondering if there is anything i can get it back up to it's original speed. I've defragmented the hard drive and cleaned the registry. My drive is only half full (half the memory is empty). Is there anything else i can do to speed it up?

I have a Garmin Etrex Legend C, and was wondering if there are any free routable map sets for the United States, or at least California. I have a set from New Zealand, and was wondering if there was a free alternative for here rather than spending a chunk of money for the Garmin set...

I'm doing a project on radio, and i wanted to find the transmission ranges of AM and FM radio, or the distance at which their respective signals are still useful.

I know that FM is frequency modulation and AM is amplitude modulation, does satellite radio use either of these or a combination of both? Or does it use something completely different?
