How can I soothe raw peeling skin?
I went swimming and unfortuantly was sunburned on the top of my cleavage.
It began to blister the following day despite multiple applications of vinegar and solarcaine aloe.
I had to drain one blister because it got so large.
Unfortuantly the skin on top of the blisters tore off and it's now open raw skin.
I have applied Blu-Kote (Gentian Violet) and Solarcaine Aloe sparingly to try and soothe and dry up the are but haven't had success.
The skin is still peeling down to the raw "wet" layer. It's painful.
Any suggestions on what I can do to ease the pain and aid the healing process?
1 AnswerSkin Conditions4 years agoWhat is an active and vocal cat breed?
I am looking for at purchasing my first purebred cat. I have ALWAYS had rescues and adore them, but have decided to go with a purebred after the loss of my last rescue.
I'm looking for a cat to be a companion to my current cat who is a male neutered 2 year old Domestic Shorthair.
I need a cat who is VERY VERY active. Lots of energy is important.
I also love cats that are vocal and "talk" to me.
I have 6 dogs who are cat friendly but I also need a cat who is comfortable in a BUSY household full of lots of people and animals.
A social cat who loves people is also a must.
I do not want a cat that requires brushing or sheds a ton like Persian or maincoon.
Medium short or no hair is ideal. I'm aware of the upkeep and experienced with hairless animals of various types

So I have multiple diagnosis for various psychiatric things;
Bipolar Depressive Type
Borderline Personality Disorder
Avoidance Personality Disorder
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
Stockholm Syndrome
Social Anxiety
Oppositional Defiance Disorder
ADD
And as in the intial question I'm also a Parinoid Narcissist
I take my medications every day and they work wonderful I don't feel drugged up I feel better. But the biggest thing I cannot shake is my severe Paranoia.
I don't trust ANYONE totally. I was bullied so badly I dropped out of school and even then I still had life social issues thus resulting in making my issues worse
I'm 20 years old and flat out have issues trusting even family members. The only thing I trust is my service dog.
My mother says I need to see someone to help me cope with my issues. Most of my issues I've been able to work through on my own over time. I do NOT trust people.
That being said... I couldn't trust a therapist of any fashion either. But she insists. So I'm not sure how I'm supposed to handle this.

10 AnswersDogs4 years agoCan my dog be pregnant?
If a dog is pregnant with a small litter is it possible that she would have no outward signs?
And also would it be possible to not be able to feel anythin when you palpate?
I have a Great Dane ***** who is with on day 49 or 52 depending if you count from the first or last breeding.
First litter never bred- she was scanned via ultrasound early on but the vet gave me the wrong day to count forward from so the results where inconclusive because it was to early.
She s seems to have widened a little but not enough for me to think she was pregnant, she also doesn t have a firm belly and I cannot really feel anything when I palpate her.
However she is producing milk, more tired, and has a little discharge but it is MILD.
I ve asked other breeders but no one can see to give me a straight answer. I ve considered the idea of a false pregnancy but she has not gotten a belly and every dog I ve been around and seen with a false pregnancy has gotten a belly.
Is it POSSIBLE she is pregnant?
6 AnswersDogs5 years agoQuestion about pregnant cat, temp dropped but then went back up?!?
I have a pregnant cat that is due any day now. She is lactating heavily and looks like she swollowed a volleyball. She is HUGE.
Last night around 11:00 her temp was 100.4 F. She was having small contractions that were infrequent and weren't cordinated (have one wait 10 minuets have another 30 minuets later have another)
But she was still eating.
Today around 4:00pm still no kittens. She is refusing food (even tuna which is notice her) and nesting but her temp has gone back up to 101.7 F. Still very infrequent contractions.
No dishcharge or trying to push ect.
I called the vet but he was busy and the secretary dude wasn't much help and didn't really give me a definate answer...
Any suggestions?
She isn't ill acting or anything that has me overly concerned but still I am confused.
(Yes she will be spayed)
2 AnswersCats6 years agoHow pregnant is my guinea pig?
I recently adopted a Guinea Pig (knowingly pregnant) as a companion to my English Angora rabbit.
(They love each other!)
My rabbit had been depressed and I couldn't find another rabbit I liked so I adopted this pretty girl.
I've named her Sally and she's pregnant as you can tell. She was the color and coat type I wanted so regardless of the pregnancy I couldn't turn her down!
She's a doll.
My question is how pregnant do you think she is? I need a estimate so I know when to separate her from my rabbit to raise her babies.
I have read up on caring for a pregnant guinea pig so I know all about the Vitamin C and other stuff.
I have a brood lamp and a special cage all set up for her when the time comes.
She's getting lots of fresh foods and free choice pellets and timothy Hay.
Lots of peppers and kiwi!
How far along do you guys think she is?
Any guesses as to how many?
This will be her third AND FINAL litter.

5 AnswersRenting & Real Estate7 years agoCeramic making supplies appraisal?
So our friend who was a hoarder passed away. We have taken on the task of cleaning out the house. One thing she has is at least 500 ceramic pour in molds, two kilns, various paints and so much more. Basically a ceramic shop in her garage. How do we go about getting to know the value of these things individually. There is soooo much stuff it's unreal.
2 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling7 years agoGreat Dane puppy with the worlds most sensitive Stomach?!!!?
I'm honestly out of ideas. All of us are and I'm hoping someone can shed some light on our predicament because even both vets are stumped.
We have a 13 week old Great Dane puppy named Bane. He's our prince, along with all 4 of our other dogs.
Since we bought him he's had loose stool, but put it off since we did get him at 6 weeks (way way to young but it was the circumstance).
We switched him to Grain Free based foods and he stayed about the same.
But this past month has been absolute hell.
For 3 days he had explosive diarrhea and I am NOT exaggerating it would seriously explode like a gun out his behind. It was watery and stunk like no other!
So we started pumping him full of pumpkin and probiotics paired with a little plain live cutler yogurt.
That is the first sold poo I've ever seen him have.
We re-entroduced dry kibble. This time Wellness simple the salmon formula mixed with Pure Balance Grain Free salmon as we thought it could possibly be a poultry allergy?
Were back to cow patty patte.
And now the pumpkin and such has stopped working as well as it did.
The vet put him on Flagyl and a round of Panacure to see if that would help.
I honestly haven't noticed a difference and I am about to cry because I want my baby to be okay.
I'm out of ideas.
I'm his mommy and should be able to keep him healthy and I can't.
Can someone please help me help my baby?!!
2 AnswersDogs7 years agoFemale Cat throwing up food constantly?
I took in a stray pregnant female kitty who was pregnant about 4-5 months ago.
She had her kittens all was well up until these past two weeks.
Sahm lives outdoors and is not spayed so when her belly started to swell I assumed she was pregnant again. But something else has occured.
She has been throwing up food constantly. She isn't acting any different and is still herself. NO fever is not dehydrated and not thin. However her belly is swollen and she throws up her food at least twice a day.
My dad refuses to allow me to take her to see a vet and I have had no success in finding her a home.
I'm at my wits end here. I have wormed her twice for round worms.
But she has had no shots or anything else.
She has been fine up until recently.
Any ideas as to what this could be? I love her and keep trying to get my dad to take her in. However he refuses to pay for a stray as we already have a lot of pets and spend 1000's on their care every month.
2 AnswersCats7 years agoHow soon after a cat has kittens can I Spay her?
Long story short I took in a pregnant cat and she had kittens.
Thinking cats went into heat every 6 months I allowed her to go in and out.
Big mistake.
I rehomed her kittens. However I've noticed her belly beginning to grow again.
So either she's getting over weight or I'm looking at more kittens.
Yay....
Not.
Anywho I WILL be having her spayed after this litter.
No more kittens on my end lol.
How soon after can I have her snipped?
I WILL NOT GRAVID SPAY HER END OF STORY.
Just answer my question.
3 AnswersCats7 years agoAdopting a second great dane puppy?
We are considering IMPORTING a Great Dane from the European Region. Our current one is still a puppy so it is still a year or so out and even then THIS IS JUST AN IDEA RIGHT NOW.
We have looked at some breeders here but haven't found "the one."
One of the big kennels we are looking at is Alani Del Castello Delle Rocche in Italy. I have seen a number of their dogs all over the place. Even in American Show dog breeding programs.
Another kennel I am very familiar with is Luizador. I have not only spoken with this breeder multiple times but have been fortunate enough to meet some of their dogs.
Has anyone here ever imported a great dane? Or know of any other breeders?
If you do please tell me :)
8 AnswersDogs7 years agoPosting Cropped Ears on Great Dane Puppy?
I am having my Great Dane puppies ears cropped on Monday.
He will be having a medium crop done, as shown in the photo (Photo and dog ARE NOT MINE and belong to their respectable owners)
http://static.petwisewebsites.com/eNrTT87PLUjMq9S3...
However most likely a smaller bell.
I have seen tons of different methods of how to post the ears afterwords. We are using Dr.Shaffer in Frisco,TX one of the best in the country. I will 100% use her method that she recommends. So I think more of my question is, why are their so many different methods to posting the ears? Has anyone else used her before?
What method did you use to post your dogs ears? Have you found an easier method? How long did you post yours?
I know this post is going to cause an uproar so before you get you panties in a knot please know I do not care what you have to say.
yes I am cutting off part of my puppies ear. Yes it does have some pain, no it's not purely cosmetic however it mainly is but there are some health benefits.
I would circumcise my kid so I am okay with cutting my dogs ear under a well qualified vet. If that makes me horrible in your book I don't care.
8 AnswersDogs7 years agoBest breed of dog?
Ok so we have basically gotten as many championships and awards as we can around here with our two dogs Navajho and Ricky.
We are looking for a medium to X-Large breed dog. So any dog between those sizes is okay.
We want an AKC recognized breed.
We will purchase from a breeder who breeds according to the breed standard, (should the standard be healthy for the dog so no like german shepherd show breeders)
According to the breed standard (we know all dogs are different)
We would like a dog who is
high energy but no insane
Easy to moderate grooming
smart/not stubborn
can tolerate the heat
is okay with a lot of strenuous activity
Fast/Agile
I have some breeds in mind but I would like some second opinions on different breeds. Also please give me some site on the breed if you can. We do a lot of research before bringing any animal into our home.
Since we do 99% of our stuff through AKC we are ONLY interested in AKC recognized breeds.
Breeds we are not interested in:
German Shepherd
Labrador
Australian Shepherd
Pyrenees
Any breed with a "smoosh" face or brachycephalic breeds.
Akita
Irish Setter
Husky
These breeds are either not what we want or are already considering.
Any more suggestions would be helpful especially if you are familiar with another breed.
5 AnswersDogs7 years agoBird wont take food from hand?
I have a 7 year old Goffins Cockatoo and I love him to bitz. He's amazing an so affectionate but he is also really weird.
For an example...
He will not ride around on your hand or arm if your moving he MUST be on your shoulder or he get mad.
He doesn't know any tricks as his previous owner didn't teach him anything.
He is a lovely bird but he's weird.
For an example...
85% of the time he wont take any food/treats you give him. So far he will only eat peanuts and oatmeal. And even then he sketchy about taking it.
Please don't go on and on about peanuts. I have never had a problem with them.
He doesn't act afraid he just looks at me like I am an idiot and just turns his head away.
I have tried tons of different things he just "meh's" to all of them.
Sometimes he is even "polite" he will take it but then just drop it. He is so funny when he does that.
I feed a nice mix of foods for him.
Zoopreme Naturals
Nuberries
and Loose Seeds
filtered water he is a spoiled
I offer fresh foods but he just ignores them.
I want to be able to train him however he just has no interist in anything other than being scratched on the head and watching everyone.
He loves his perch outside and will sit out there for hours "dancing" we give him tons of attention and take him places.
But he is still weird about it
IDK what his issue is LOL

But out of curiosity what is the largest breed of pet bird? This does not include like a vulture or something crazy.
2 AnswersBirds7 years agoHow to improve the rabbit barn?
Ok so I am a rabbit breeder and when my rabbits are not breeding they are allowed to run freely about the rabbit barn.
I don't know why but my rabbits will not mate when in the barn area so I don't have to worry about it. It's really weird. Then again they're all best friends so maybe that has something to do with it. I really don't know and I am not here to talk about that.
Ok, so the barn is about 10x12 concrete floors, technically it is a shed but we call it the bunny barn :)
We have a hole cut into the side that leads into 10x10 outdoor pen. We have mulberry foliage for them to chew on sometimes. I am not a fan of adding greens to my show rabbits diets so it's usually a treat if I have skinny does just coming off a big litter.
I throw oats out for them so they can "forage" a little bit.
I am looking for things inside the barn, right now it's bare like just a big concrete floor with food and water.
I am considering filling it with pine shavings to help absorb everything and make it more fun for them to play in. As rabbits do they poo everywhere so I think the pine would help and make cleanup less smelly! Haha.
And adding some toys, like tubes and houses ect.
And ideas on what I can add that's inexpensive but fun for them? I love my bunnies and they deserve to be spoiled!
2 AnswersOther - Pets7 years agoIs this love?
I have always been a firm believer that love isn't a real thing. All it is, is the chemicals in your brain going haywire because you are attracted to the person.
My friends on the other hand strongly disagree.
I'm 17 I feel that not only is love not a real thing but as teenagers we are incapable of it.
But I recently met this guy, and I have been with quiet a few. But he's different.
I don't know what it is, but when we kissed last night I got week at the knees and we had to sit down. I've never had that happen. I am always the dominant one but I let him take control and it just felt...
Right.
I struggle day to day with PTSD from being bullied so I don't trust people, but with him it;s like everything is going to be okay.
It felt so right... Like nothing I had ever felt before.
My stomach tightens when I think about him and I smile like an idiot!
I don't know what to call it, I think it's a "teenage" fling but my friends are screaming it's love. So I am starting to second guess my entire belief system here.
Any in site?
