  • Why are my Windows 7 screens jumping between my monitors?

Just got a new Dell Latitude E5430 laptop with Windows 7. I have two monitors in addition to the built in laptop monitor. I am also using a USB keyboard instead of my built-in laptop keyboard. I am finding that more often than not when I press the 1, 2, or 3 keys my active window will jump to another monitor (I think it also does it when pressing those buttons with the shift key but I am not sure since it happens when I least expect it). I had researched shortcut keys online and disabled my Windows key hoping that it would stop this but the problem has persisted. Now I am wondering if it has something to do with my USB keyboard and how it works with the laptop. The jumping screens have only happened when using the USB keyboard but to be fair, I haven't done extensive testing of using my built in laptop keyboard to allow me to state without a doubt that the problem lies in the USB keyboard. I am wondering if anyone has encountered such a problem and/or if anyone has suggestions on how to stop the screens from moving. I do not have a need to use a shortcut to scroll between windows or to move screens between monitors and I don't normally use shortcut keys except for when I use Excel. If this laptop wasn't used for work I would just consider not using the USB keyboard but using the laptop keyboard all day is not comfortable and I can't get used to not having the 10-key numbers on the side so I don't feel that is a viable option. Finally, the USB keyboard worked just fine with my previous desktop which ran Windows XP if that helps any.

  • Suggestion for a "Recipe for a Good Team"?

My boss is leaving our company and our team wants to get him an engraved picture frame with a "Recipe for a Good Team". We are accountants and therefore not that creative - anyone have suggestions on wording or know of an example (not in a book I would have to purchase) that might be usable? We have ideas for the "ingredients" (i.e. communication) as we are going to use his best known sayings but we don't know how to combine them (i.e. a pinch of communication and add a dash of teamwork). It seems like there should be examples on the internet somewhere but I haven't been able to find anything yet. Thanks!

  • What are the possibilities for getting a home security system without a land line telephone?

We are interested in getting some type of home security system installed (such as ADT). We had one independent consultant visit a few years ago (this consultant would have had us purchase the entire security system for thousands of dollars) and mentioned that if we wanted to have the security system use cell phones (we do not have a home telephone line) then it was quite a large additional monthly charge. I am not familiar with the mechanics behind how a home security system works so I am wondering if others have made the choice to just install a land line or if they have paid additional monthly charges to use their cell phone and if so, how much were/are they charged.

  • Birth control (the pill) question about missing days?

Why is that in the birth control instructions, if you miss 2 days you have to take both pills, X days you have to start a new pack but during the week of your period you take the fake pills (in essence you are skipping 7 days of pills). How is it that on your period you are protected from pregnancy? I know that it is harder to get pregnant on your period but not impossible.

  • Online Sudoku Puzzle With Scratch Pad?

I had found an online sudoku version where each individual squares had 9 little squares in it where as you ruled out a number, you could cross out the little number and see what numbers are still viable. I can't find this anymore and was hoping someone might know of web sites which feature this grid format.
