What are your feelings on Rastus and Festus for twins?
I know the first born needs to be named Rastus Leon III after this father, but is Festus Sean a good name for a brother or a twin?
6 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoHow do you feel about the name Analisa?
I love Analisa - do you? Is it a good name for a baby girl?

I'm not sure which one is best, but I love Fae as a middle name.
9 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoIs having a sword arch using the bridesmaids and groomsmen too over-the-top?
My husband and I agreed to participate in a renaissance wedding for two very good friends. So far we are out a minor fortune for costumes and accessories (like our own metal plates, cups, mugs etc....) and since we do not "do" renaissance faires, it's truly becoming a huge drain on our resources. Yesterday the bride called and said she had a dream about a sword arch as the newlywed couple walked down the aisle and decided to go with it. I'm now supposed to buy two King Solomon 31.5-inch Gold Sword with Scabbard for $35.00 each plus S&H.
I have two questions, do women really participate in sword arches? The sword really doesn't go with my gown. And how do you tell an eager bride her ideas are becoming a little "too much" and yet remain friends.
I don't want to ruin a friendship over $70.00 or so in swords.
9 AnswersWeddings1 decade agoWhat are your feelings on the name Petunia for a girl?
My sister-in-law has chosen the name Petunia Petals for the name of her new baby. It made a great baby shower theme, but I'm just not sure how I feel about my first niece being named Petunia Petals Parker.
Not that it truly matters, but my sister-in-law is a Japanese native and English is her second language. She says it is the custom to name a baby after flowers and beautiful things so that the baby has a beautiful life.
11 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoIf your choice was between naming your baby Rastus Leon III or not having children what would you choose?
Seriously, it's a family name and the pressure to name the baby Rastus Leon III is very, very strong. I'm thinking about secretly having a tubal ligation. There's no guarantee I'd have a girl and almost all the children in the family are males. I'd just rather not have kids.
15 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoHas the quest for unique and one of a kind names gotten out of hand?
Why do so many baby name choice lists sound like the cast of a sleazy porn movie? Does your desire to be unique and trendy supersede the needs of the child to fit into society and not be the butt of endless taunting, teasing, bullying and jokes?
Is it no longer in fashion to think about the babies future when naming him or her?
8 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoDo you think a wedding is about the bride or two people (families) joining as one?
I see so many posts by Bridezillas who seem to think a wedding is all about the bride and her wants, needs and feelings, and not the fact that two people (two families) are joining to make a new one. Do you think it is about the bride, the couple (both) or the joining of two families into one?
21 AnswersWeddings1 decade agoWhen considering a baby name - do you pay attention to magazine articles or psychological studies?
If you read this and saw the baby name you chose was one they found would grow up with criminal tendencies, would you change your mind?
Odd first names linked to criminality.
A man’s first name can predict his criminal tendencies, according to research released Wednesday by economists who compared crime statistics and a roster of more than 15,000 first names to reveal a distinct “name-crime link” among American males.
The more unpopular or uncommon the name, the greater the chance the lad will end up in jail, said David E. Kalist and Daniel Y. Lee of Shippensburg University.
“Regardless of race, juveniles with unpopular names are more likely to engage in criminal activity,” the study said.
8 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoWhat mental illness makes you think you have telepathy?
What's wrong with a person who thinks they *feel* what others feel, believe that they *hear* what's in other people mind, thinks they can intuit *intentions* via mind reading, thinks they have special powers or are under a spell -- and make up things like "I'm allergic to sunlight" and "can drain others of emotions"? The person truly believes they have a gift and uncanny powers. Supposedly, mental health professionals can't find anything wrong. Thoughts?
6 AnswersMental Health1 decade agoDoes this sound like a bitter ex or a psychologist's statement?
".....in divorce a parent essentially says to a child—and to a spouse—"....“My personal desires are more important to me than is your welfare. This family is nothing to me, and you are just an object to be moved around like a pawn in my self-indulgent search for happiness.”

By "kissing", I mean a deep kiss with an embrace that was obviously not platonic.

14 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoNaming baby - Do you believe a person's name is a factor in criminal tendencies?
I read an article that says: "It turns out that your first name may also help make you a criminal." and "...adolescent boys with unpopular names are likelier than other boys to be referred to the juvenile-justice system for alleged offenses. The researchers conclude that the Ernests, Prestons and Tyrells of America are significantly more delinquent than the Michaels and Davids." Do you think a name truly factors into criminality?

12 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoIs it wrong to withhold the truth to your children to save them pain?
My ex told the kids I stole the money he sent them for Christmas, you see, he called on December 19th and asked the kids if they got the money he sent them. Both kids said no and he told them I stole the money. Both kids were angry at me and believed the accusations. Today (December 23rd) the money arrived and I promptly gave the kids the cards and checks not mentioning or pointing out the date of the checks and postmarks or the date he told them I stole the money. Part of me wants to tell them the truth and the other part wants them to have a happy Christmas removed from this ugliness. Was I wrong to let it go?
15 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoHow would you feel if your husband did this?
My husband went into the delivery room and held the hand of his female police officer partner while she gave birth. He never came into the delivery room with me when I gave birth to his children, saying it was *gross*. I'm hurt by his behavior and my friends all say that the baby must be his and that I am way to trusting. Would you think this was appropriate behavior?

12 AnswersWeddings1 decade agoRat breeders - is this a Sphinx or just a runt?
My Agouti female and Hooded Male had a litter of 10 pups on August 27th. 4 have curly whiskers and seem to be really small compared to their hairy siblings. 3 of the ones with curly whiskers are solid color and have rex (tight curly) hair. One is a blue hood and he has no hair at all. Is it possible he's a Sphinx or Rex hairless???
I think the baby daddy's mother was a very small rex female. I'm not 100% sure. Momma's parents are a Dumbo Agouti (same color as she is) and an PEW who now looks yellowish and not pure white. He's very old.
