Seattle, Washington: tourist places to visit?
I plan to visit Seattle, WA, in the next few months. Can anyone recommend any places I should visit whilst there. Many of the websites seem to be quite limited in regard to information on the city itself.
Many thanks
3 AnswersSeattle9 years agoOne hob and a microwave: recipe ideas?
I live in an apartment that has a single hob and a microwave, and as a result my meals have been centred around pasta and rice dishes, with the occasional garlic bread thrown in. Does anyone have any recipe ideas that can be concocted using such limted equipment?

2 AnswersBuying & Selling9 years agoWhy is the same film released at different dates in different countries?
Is it something to do with the popularity of a film; the accessibility of theatres, or willingness of the director to allow wide-scale release. Take the upcoming release of the Alien prequel 'Prometheus'. How come the Belgium release is in May, but the Italian/Swiss is in Septmber?

3 AnswersMovies9 years agoRecommended/obscure rock bands of today and from the 1990s?
I'm looking to add some new music to my mp3 player, and I'd like to some new/obscure rock and alternative rock bands.
I already have the 'big' names like Hendrix, KOL, and AC/DC. But now I'm looking for the less-heard-of bands that sound like the Black Keys , The Black Angels and Broken Social Scene etc.
Thanks for your help!

4 AnswersOther - Business & Finance9 years agoModern military land vehicles and small arms?
Where can I find information on military land vehicles and small arms used by Western/developed nations? I'm particulary looking for data on APCs/Infantry support vehicles, rifles and field equipment (especially communications and medical kit). I'd also like to know where I can find information regarding the JOC and the 4GW and combined warfare strategies.
Thanks in advance.
3 AnswersMilitary9 years agoShort thick hair: thinning it out?
I've got short hair (1 1/2 inch long) that is really thick - like the dog of the Dulux advert. Can this be thinned out by a hairdresser or a barber, or does it have to a certain length before it can be thinned out?

3 AnswersHair9 years agoMelbourne or the Gold Coast?
As part of mynew job in Oz, I've been asked to work in one of two places: Melbourne or the Gold Coast. I know nothing about either place, apart from the stuff you find on the net. Both sound pretty cool, and offer some great opps for sport, surfing and nightlife. Can anyone give me any info/recommendations as to which I should choose?
3 AnswersVictoria (Melbourne)9 years agoHas the build quality of mobile phones decreased in recent years?
I've just invested in a new iphone, and it's recently fallen from my coffee table onto a hardwood floor, slightly cracking the screen from top to bottom. The phone it replaced was a 3330 and it had been through hell and back (dropped out of moving vehicles, from ladders, kicked accross floors etc) yet it still managed to soldier on after 7 years of service.
My question is this: has the build quality of phones today, been sacrificed at the expense of greater technological efficiency and gadgetry?

2 AnswersAllergies10 years agoAustralia business (457) visa: passport?
I'm going to Australia in January to work for a British company, and I have a question about the application process. I'm applying for the Business (longstay) (subclass 457) visa, which will allow me to return to the UK as many times as aI wish; and stay in Australia for upto 4 years. Here is my issue: my passport runs out in 2014.
Does this mean I need to get a new 10-year passport to apply for this visa or will it be OK to apply with my current one?
2 AnswersGeneral - Australia10 years agoAllergies: immediate symptoms?
Recently I visited a friend who had a cat. I haven't been to this persons house in a while or been around cats in a while. After leaving the house I started sneezing like a madman. Is this indicative of an allergy to cats or could it just be a random happening? are are symptoms of an allergy present straightaway or can there be a time delay?
1 AnswerAllergies10 years agoShould the word 'share' be taken out of dictionaries in the US?
This 5 letter curse-word is clearly a product of the extreme left, anti-christ loving, coverall-wearing, bearded hippy democrat, commies that are in the White House. Should this word not be banished from those pesky 'word books' we call dictionaries?
4 AnswersWords & Wordplay10 years agoThe War on Terror over! We won! ...who is the next enemy?
The recent news that Osama Bin Laden has been killed by US special forces has most of the world celebrating like mad, quite mad
This means that the War on Terror is over, and now we can rejoice!.....for the time being.
But we need a new threat to focus upon. Who's next on the list? The Chinese? the Brazilians? Communists again? , oh wait, what about the Armenians? or shall we just call it even and say that the next threat is the human race itself...
What do you think?
