I am buying new furnace and AC unit and in one of my quotes they said I could claim the $500.00 energy credit on next tax return. I know this credit is non-refundable, so I am wondering if I would get this in my situation. My income is similar in 2016 to 2015, so assume I will have the same situation. On form 1040 in 2015 my tax was $4,114.00; I got credits of 1200 for dependent care and $2914 for a child tax credit to reduce it to $0 after credits, then I got an additional child tax credit of $1086 (this is refundable). Now if I would have had the $500 energy credit would have my child tax credit been $500 lower and then would I get $500.00 more on the additional tax credit? Or would the energy credit cancelled out?

My wife just got a collection notice for a Iowa medical debt from July 2009. Can they sue us for this still? We never made payments or acknowledged this ever. Also my wife had Medicaid, and the hospital did not bill them, can I make an argument on that if sued?

I am being sued for 1200 for medical bills and also interest and attorney fees. Recently I have come across some money and can pay this. I called the collection agency and offered to pay. They said there would be a 100 also for the cost to them to file the summon.I said I would pay this too , if they sent me a letter saying they would dismiss if I paid within 7 days. They refused saying I can take their word that they would dismiss, what do I do next. Do I just pay and hope they dismiss?

They put it in my name as psssenger and emailed me the flight itinerary. someone told me that with some airlinesthey will require you to show the credit card that was used online to purchase it. does anyone know if Delta does this?

At work we process transaction between two parties and then send reimbursement letters via email. Well yesterday I sent an attached reimbursement letter to the wrong client. In the body of the email the name is write to who i sent it to, but if they would open it, the name on the letter would be totally different and what the say they would be reimbursed for would be nothing they have dealt with before. I am worried I guess because the letter said we are reimbursing $30k to your account at "soandso" bank. So I sent the person I sent the letter an email apologizing for the mishap, and as well I did sent the letter to the right person. Should I be worried? or will this be considered some kind of honest mistake?
