I'm an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love being a "Mormon." My religion is very important to me. I am happily married to the most wonderful man I have ever met. He is an incredible father, lover, friend, and companion. He keeps me happy all the time. I always feel beautiful when I'm with him. I am a stay-at-home mom. I have two wonderful children in my life. My family is very important to me. I also love animals and nature. I studied wildlife biology in college. I like answering questions on Yahoo that relate to animals. I love children and family life. I have a AA Degree in Early Childhood Education. Kids make my life a whole lot more entertaining. :)

  • Watermelon Vine Broke?

I accidentally broke a watermelon vine all the way at the base this morning when I was trying to weed around it. I have it sitting in water on my window sill. Can it be saved?

  • Mother's Day crafts for teenagers?

It seems like every site on the Internet has Mother's Day craft ideas for young children. My problem is I need something that teenage girls would like to make for their mothers--- something inexpensive, yet nice at the same time. Do you have any ideas or suggestions? Please send me websites or photos if you can.

  • Can my rat be pregnant?

I've had my rat for a little over two weeks. Since we got her we've noticed that her belly seems to be getting bigger and bigger and her nipples are more visible. She seems really round and plump.

My question is, could she be pregnant? I've never had a pregnant rat before, so I don't know for sure if she's pregnant or just a really fat older rat. I'd really like it if someone with experience could answer my question. I have photos of her:

    Background information:

Someone turned her loose in our neighborhood and we found her on Easter weekend (so it's possible she could have been with a male rat). We have three other female rats in our home, so we like rats and know how to take care of them. From what I can tell, our new rat seems to be older and slower than our other rats, so it's possible she could just be overweight and not pregnant.

  • What's wrong with my rat?

My ten-month-old rat is not feeling well. I'm not sure what is wrong with her. She keeps tilting her head to one side and her balance is a little off. I'm worried about her. She seemed perfectly fine yesterday but now she's showing these symptoms today. I'm very concerend, because she's still so young and seemed to be in perfect health.

As far as I know she hasn't had an injury. She has two rat playmates who live with her and like to play, but they never play very rough. I've owned them for nine months and none of them have ever showed signs of sickness.

What do you think it could be?

  • Are grapefruits considered bitter?

Ok, I know that this is a rather silly question, but I'm currently in a debate about this and I would like to know your opinion. Would you consider grapefruit a bitter fruit?

  • How to deal with "are you pregnant" questions?

Long story short: I got married almost two years ago and moved out of state. Next week I'll be going home again to see my family. My dilemma is I know people are going to come up to me and ask if I'm pregnant. I'm heavier now than I was before I got married, so I can easily pass off for being pregnant (many of these people haven't seen me in over 18 months). My question is how do I respond to this? The truth is I've been off birth-control for several months now, trying to get pregnant and I haven't been able to. I could even be pregnant now and not know it. I hate having to tell people I'm not pregnant (I've been asked TWICE in the last couple of months).

I want to be nice, and not offensive, because these people are friends of my family and have known me since I was little. I need something witty and clever to say to them without making a big deal. How should I tell them I'm not pregnant?

  • Selfish ex-spouses and child support. How do you handle it?

My husband has full custody of his two children. His ex-wife owes him thousands of dollars in child support, medical expenses, and debts from their divorce. My husband thankfully paid off all of the debts recently ON HIS OWN without her help, despite her agreement in the decree to pay half. He still needs her to pay him back, however, but she refuses to do so. I suppose she thinks she doesn't have to because she hates him and thinks he'll spend it on something for himself instead of on the children or medical bills, which I think is totally immature, since my husband is the most responsible person I have ever met, UNLIKE HER. He spent five years paying off all the debts she left him (over $48,000), sacrificing everything for his two children, whom he loves unconditionally. It makes me sick the way she acts like she's the victim in this situation, even though she CREATED it and her children suffer because of it. Any suggestions how to handle this? My loved ones are hurting.

  • We thought we were out of debt... Are we?

My husband and I were overjoyed last week when we received a notice in the mail saying that our last debt had been paid in full. They even returned our last payment, plus a refund ontop of it, saying that we "overpaid" on our last two payments.

However, our bubble somewhat burst on Saturday after we received an electronic voice message on our answering machine from an attorney office who claimed they were collecting the very same debt from us. The problem is we have never even received any written documents from this so-called attorney office, although they seem to have a lot of our current information, and it is now making us wonder if we really are not out of debt afterall. How is this possible? Has anyone on Yahoo Answers ever experienced this?
