  • Is a threesome the solution to my love-triangle? Please help!?

So. I am seeing a guy (Jack) currently who is actually the older brother of my ex-boyfriend. I had a thing for him for years, and now that we've finally connected, I'm the happiest I've been in a long time. I could really see myself being with him... However..

    A. The brother thing is totally weird. Though we have talked it out as a group, I just hate knowing that people are going to think horrible ****.

    B. It would be long distance. He lives about 3 hours away, not bad, but enough that it's inconvenient, because I am still in college and I work to support myself--every single weekend, which is the only time we could see each other.

    C. We haven't entirely defined our relationship. He refers to me as his "lady friend," and he, my "man friend," we are more than just sex, or FWB, but not quite exclusive BF/GF. And I'm old-fashioned, I need those labels, as much as a hate them, to understand what's going on. We have talked about "what we are" a little, it's been several weeks though, at the time, he said he would "air on the side of upset" if he knew I was seeing other people, and I, the same for him. He told me also not to "act on flirting" if it's directed at me....

Here's the problem. At the EXACT same time i started seeing Jack, I also started "seeing" a very close girl friend of mine, Ellen. I really care about her, and, like Jack, I've had a thing for her for quite some time. She is also the first girl I've ever had serious feelings for. She and I have only kissed a few times. I made plans to visit her(where in which "things" would have ensued), but backed out at the last minute, because I started to feel weird and guilty about Jack. Ellen, however, is not looking for a relationship, I'm fairly certain, which... though I'm still shaky on the subject, think that I might be, after a solid 2 years of single-dom. Ellen, however, does know about the Jack situation, and was at first a little shocked, but is fine with it overall and open to whatever I want to do, basically...

I like and care about both of them so much and I don't want to hurt anyone, but I also don't want to "choose" and feel like I missed out on either experience. It's hard because i would act on the Ellen situation if I didn't feel so up-in-the-air with Jack about "what I am to him." I hate cheating, it's happened to me so many times, and if I might be serious with him later, I don't want any secrets.

The topic of a threesome is obviously a common one in my thoughts. It seems to be the best way for everyone to get what they want, but Jack is very hesitant about them, concerned that jealously will become a problem....

Any advice you can offer would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • Really long period after taking birth control?

So I took Yaz for a month( it was just sample pack from my gyno, so that I could decide on my next visit if i wanted to do it long-term). And I decided not to because I'm poor and I don't have insurance. But now that I've come off the first cycle of pills, it made my period 5 days late(at least I think that's why it was late) and now my period is going on it's ninth day. It usually lasts 4-5 days. It's basically light spotting, which is a plus, and the whole period was light in general but I'm really sick of dealing with it, and I'd like to go back to my sex life for the rest of the month....but....I don't know what to do from here.

Is this happening definitely because of birth control? How much longer will it last? Etc.

Any advice you can offer. Thanks.

  • Late period--on birth control?

I just started taking Yaz this month. I've only missed one day and took that pill the second I realized it, but I after that, I even set an alarm on my phone to make sure I take my pill as close to the same time as possible every time. My boyfriend and I also always use a condom as backup. And I've come to the end of the pack, on the inactive pills, and this is the day when i normally get my period. No sign of it.

Does does the pill mess with your monthly cycle at first? Is there information I'm missing? I really don't see how I could be pregnant, but I also haven't gotten my period and I'm starting to panic.

    Help!

And i'll be having a lot of music, internet, word processors(for typing papers for class) and probably movies(through netflix). • European teenagers?

Well, i'm going to be studying abroad next summer, in Europe etiher France, UK, or possibly Ireland. I was just wondering if anyone knew how European teenagers dress? I'm sure that most of the time, its casual and not very much different from here in America, but are Europeans as fashion conscious as they have always seemed, because to me, they have always seemed to care more about that(it's not a bad thing) than Americans.

    Please and Thank you. Cheers.

  • Fantasy writers?

Okay, fantasy writers or even so, any writer really----do you not find it extremely hard to maintain originality? I mean yes, everything you think of has to come from somewhere, whether or not its other fantasy/sci-fi works, philosophy, or religion, etc. As I go about writing my own fantasy works, I've found it tremendously hard to separate myself from all the other pieces out there.

Things like finding a crossing to magical worlds I see the wardrobe in narnia or kings cross station in HP--and instantly i'm raking my brain to think of something entirely different that would not elude to either of those stories, not to mention all of the others. It's just so tough to do something like this. While I have all of my unlimited imagination to work with, I somehow find that i am rather limited, actually.

I guess i was just looking to see how wide-spread this problem is, and how you deal with it?

    Please and Thank you. Cheers.

  • Is this too obvious?

For my fantasy story I need a word that will work for nonmagical people, mortals, from Earth---do you think "terrien"will do? It's an actual word, French for Earthling. I think it will do well, but I just wonder if it is too obvious?

    Please and Thank you. Cheers.

  • Word suggestions(fantasy)?

This may sounds just like harry potter, but that's how it goes....

I need a word for earth bound human--otherwise, non magical people, mortals...but i don't want to call them mortals, because that's been used before in fantasy. I'd like to make up my own word that is believable, like Rowling did with muggle. Any ideas?

    Please and Thank you. Cheers.

  • Fantasy names?

Do you like the names Blythe, Angus and Niobe for three guardians of the main character of my fantasy story? Just looking for opinions.

  • Names for fantasy story?

How do you like Zorica for the magical world itself? Ara Vance for the 18 year old herion? Nathaniel for a mysterious love interest?

Ara is 100% finalized, but I just wanted opinions, but if you don't particularly like Zorica--have any ideas for a fantasy world? Believable and yet fantasical?

I'm still working on other characters, and stuff, but those are some things i just wanted to check on.

    Please and Thank you. Cheers.

  • How to be the indie kid in my soul?

So, I adore indie music. Anything from foreign, to folksy, to experimental, to brit-pop to mellowed out weird lyrics. I've got the music down and I'm pretty sure that deep down I fit in well with the ultra-quirky crowd--but my appearance is out of sync. How can i relfect the indie kid in my soul(haha) on the outside? Any tips? clothes, hair, indie books or movies-whatever else?

Also, if you haven't got a clue what to answer to my previous questions, could you just list your favourite indie bands? I always like suggestions.

    Please and Thank you. Cheers.
