A
photoshoot for fitness magasine?
I have been aproached by a gym for a photoshoot for a (or several) fitness mags.
This will be my first serious job and I dont want to miss on the opportunity of not having my name on a national mag. I done portraiture for a supplement of the herald and a craft mag as well as online coverage of the UCI downhill worldcup in Fort William earlier this year.
Would you have any tips and advises such as contract editing or costs?
Should I provide water marked shots?
The job will take roughly half a day.
Really need help.
Thanks folks
1 AnswerPhotography9 years agosumproduct in Excel?? looking for unique references for a certain month?
Hi all,
I am looking to get the number of unique references within a certain range.
I know i can use a pivot table but I dont want to.
teh references I will be looking for are a mixed bag of numbers and letters like this:"COPS_31/08/2012_113".
I will be using the month in the date in column C on a different worksheet.
the number of unique reference I will be looking for will be in column I.
I am stuck with the formula I must say and all the ones we manage to come up with are 14 lignes too long and too complicated.
Should I use sumproduct and if yes what would the formula look like?
thanks
2 AnswersSoftware9 years agolooking for a phone upgrade - Lumia 710?
Hi,
I am looking for a phone upgrade. I currently have a Blackberry 9300 and fancy a lumia.
I can have the upgrade for £50 on my current plan (which is awesome).
The major thing is that I am unsure if I can use the lumia as wifi hotspot. information on the net is quite vague.
I am with T-mobile UK, my current plan is web and go with unlimited data.
I need to work outside often and the bonus of using the connection from the phone on a computer is massive.
T-mobile blocked this feature on my blackberry.
any idea?

2 AnswersTVs9 years agofront dérailleur needed - unusual fixation?
hi,
I got a da bomb xlr8 frame with the curved seat post tube and i will need some help with the front derailleur.
how do i put one on?
the only options are with the cable pulling from the top with the deraileur cable (the housing) ending on the derailleur itself as the frame doesnt have any stoppers of any sort.
There is a machine bit on the back of the BB that has a hole and plenty of clear space, I presume that it is where the front derailleur is meant to be (?).
I am not too keen on having a bb mounted deraileur since the frame doesnt have the 3 screws holes around it.
apologies if the vocabulary is so vague - I am french and i never had to deal with this during my days as a bicycle sales/repair man
Help!
no need for a fancy derailleur, 2 platter only

2 AnswersTVs10 years agoHome theatre, best of 2 for music?
I cant seem to get good reviews for these 2 receivers:
YAMAHA RX-V367
and
SONY DH520
This will be paired with a very basic speaker set like:
YAMAHA NSP285
or
KENWOOD KS-3200HT (I will add an small sub at later time)
you guessed it, I am on a tight budget.
I am fed up of listening to the music from my TV radio and want something a bit more meaty and more satisfying. my head goes towards the full YAMAHA set up rather than the sony amp, what do you think?
the bluray player i currently own is a SONY Sony BDP-S470.
2 AnswersHome Theater10 years agocheap freeride wheel - £100 max for the pair?
I am going back on a bike (Da Bomb XLR8) and will need some wheels to go with it.
I am not sure yet if I will go for 20mm axle or not but I am looking to get ok to decent wheels for very cheap. this will go with a marzochi DJ fork.
the usage will be freeride, nothing extreme, fast, not technical.
I want to restart slow
1 AnswerCycling10 years agoSony BDP-S470, amp to go with it?
I recently purchased a Sony BDP-S470 and will look at getting am amp to go with it in the future.
as it has HD (Dolby true HD and DTShd master) sound decoding, do I need an amp with decoder to get the HD sound?
richer sound has a good selection of amp and are reasonably cheap. what sony amp would you recomend?
2 AnswersHome Theater10 years agodlna bluray wifi question?
Hi folks,
I am about to finally take the plunge and buy a bluray player (the very good SONY BDPS370).
it will be plugged onto my router to access services like qriocity and lovefilm.
here is my question:
will it be able to go and look at my file wirelessly on my computer?
files such as photos and videos stored on the computer next door (laptop).
if so, what do i need to do to my PC software wise?
thank you.
also, if anyone owns this bluray can you tell me how it is to live with it?
1 AnswerHome Theater10 years agoyour thoughts on tablets?
I like the idea of a tablet a s media player when travelling. far better than a tiny ipod touch screen and more conveniant than a laptop.
I have my eyes on 3 tablets:
the blackberry playbook
the asus transformer
the obvious ipad2
i kind of dislike the ipad as it feels flimsy and has limited web capabilities.
i kind dislike the transformer because i prefer iOS but there wireless streaming seems neat even though i don't know how it works and it has an IPS screen and big res that i admire! the blackberry playbook seems to be a good choise as it will be compatible with the android apps and is apparently seriously powerfull, when you ask it to do something, it does it, no lag. kind of ipad responsive from what i have read.
what's your opinon?
all views welcome
3 AnswersOther - Computers10 years agocat won't eat or drink - vomits?
Hi,
I have a problem, my cat wont eat or drink.
I tried to force fed her with cod liver oil and cat food (stick treats) but vomited shortly after.
When she vomits it is like she wan't to get rid of something but nothing comes out.
We contacted out of hour emergency services but they are unfortunately too expensive and we don't have the funds available just now.
She doesn't seem to be in pain and is ok when we try to force feed her, she is quite cooperative.
Anyone with any advises on how to help her keep down fluid?
Cat weed, cod liver oil, etc....
Today in Sunday and we can see a vet only Tuesday.
she lost weight.
ps: as a piece of info she was like this when we returned from a break away. she lost a fair bit of weight but started as quite bulky and solid animal. hope this will help with the weight loss.

3 AnswersCameras1 decade agohighlight a specific cell in a grid on excel 2003?
Hi there,
I have an other project for work.
for this one we need to build up a searching facility on a floor plan.
the seat numbers are coded and in relation to a grid:
two letters - building
then
two digits - floor
then
three digits - x axis
then
three digits - y axis
teh location would look like this AR01051012
AR being the buildin
01 the floor etc.
here is my question:
how do i highlight a specific cell (seat on a map drawn on excel) by just typing a seat number on a "search box".
the floor plans will be on separate tabs with a tab for one floor.
is there any way you can highlight a cell in a grid with x and y axis?
2 AnswersSoftware1 decade agocomputer help for photo editing (and a bit of video)?
Hi,
I currently use an asus ul30a for photo editing and I can see that it struggles a bit when importing 1000+ RAW files and editing photos in real time (lightroom).
I will want to upgrade for a great value a full fat desktop (over £400 I may have to sell a limb).
I will hook it up to a decent screen (don't tell me crt) but will want to know if these two will be good enough:
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/packard-bell-imedia-...
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/advent-centurion-cbe...
My use of the computers won't be gaming.
I use lightroom 3 64bit and element 7 plus other wee ones like ICE and photosynth (although this on is irrelevant).
I will use it for a bit of video as well, nothing big, just videos from a flip mino HD.
any idea?
2 AnswersDesktops1 decade agolock cells to only input numbers?
I want to lock cells in excel to alow a third party user to only be ably to input numbers.
i am fed up with people messing up formulas and adding stupid format and this would be a last resort thing for me.
is there any way to lock cells and lock format as well and also have nothing but numbers (15.07 for exemple - not 15,07)?
the users are seriousely dumb and need to be blocked!
1 AnswerSoftware1 decade ago=counta or =countif formula?
I am doing an other project for work to facilitate adminstration for a collegue but don't want to have him use the pivot table function.
I want to count how many jobs have been closed off within allocated time for a particular month.
so basically 3 criteria: month, number of jobs, how many within the agreed time.
hope this is clear enough.
thanks
1 AnswerSoftware1 decade agopro level compact camera?
Hi Guys,
What "pro level" compact camera would you choose and why?
I will be thinking to get a good snapper but I really like to get full control of it.
I am not sure if you can actually control of the depth of field on such a machine.
I quite fancy the LX5 and the EX1 from samsung although hi def video footage is a big plus.
I like also the G12 but gosh it is big and expensive and for that price I can get a micro 4/3 or a nex.
too much choice!
kinda needs to look cool as well :)
4 AnswersCameras1 decade agogood screen for photography on a (very) tight budget?
hi.
I am looking for a good screen for photography use.
I will use both my lappy's led screen and an external monitor.
I don't know if my lappy will support over 1920X1080 though.
Do you know a good LED screen for £150 that has good color reproduction, realistic blacks and HDMI interface (the latter is to keep connections tidy). would be great to have audio out as well.
thanks!
