I petitioned for my husband's immigration status update and he has been approved for a green card, however at the time I was a full time student and lived with my parents- therefore making my father an affidavit of support. He currently holds a temporary (permanent) residency card (2 years) and will be able to apply/renew for the permanent (10 year) one in 2 years. For the previous years I have been under my fathers health insurance but now married I need to get my own.

My husband recently received his employment authorization card and therefore has only just begun to work, as have I (no longer going to school) however we currently cannot afford "high end" healthcare.

I am still learning about all the healthcare options out there and considering whats going on now with Obamacare and being fined next year for not having healthcare I wanted to know if my HUSBAND APPLYIED FOR MEDICAID how would it affect his already accepted immigration status and how? How will him applying affect the affidavit of support or how can we remove my father as an affidavit of support?

Also, does Medicaid have family plans for married couples with no kids? How would we apply as a couple?

We already filed the petition and we are aware that during the interview we need to present all the original documents. If our Co-Sponsor amends his taxes, will it affect out petition? If so, How? Hello everyone! I am an undergrad and go to a community college. It has been really difficult for me to get enrolled in classes since my enrollment date is usually late and the classes I actually get are mainly inexpensive, have nothing to do with my major BUT still required. Last year (2012-13) I was able to enroll in only 1 class each semester but no classes this Fall semester of 2013. I did receive a fee waiver last year so I did not have to pay for my classes but still had to pay for my own books and materials. This spring semester (2014) I was able to enroll into more than 3 classes enabling me as a full time student (12 credits), I have a part time seasonal job and filed my FAFSA as independent and received an EFC of 0. I know how the EFC works... I was eligible for the college fee waver one more time AND automatically received the pell grant for about 2,000 USD. I can already feel it will take me longer to actually get classes and finish my AA degree in the next 2 years before I transfer to a CSU/UC so...

Is there any way I can DENY my pell grant??

So that when I actually start receiving it consecutively, it would be because I actually need it. It would be for semesters where I have more than 12 units and the books/materials are more expensive. Or for when I am at an actual University with an actual Major and area of study? I know the Pell grant takes SAP and other things into consideration so I would hate it if I was denied the Pell Grant when I needed it the most! I am interested in saving it for my masters degree... I recently got married and changed my last name. I am about to get hired for a new job and have not updated my drivers license, passport, or social security card. I don't really want to. Once I fill out my paperwork for this new job do I use my maiden last name, or am I supposed legally to use my new last name even though I don't have a picture ID for it.One more question: Do I have to legally change the name on my DL, Passport, etc now that I'm married with my husbands last name?

Hello everybody! I live in California... I have two questions, my first question is: I live with my dad. Can I file my own taxes with a seasonal (potentially permanent) part-time job (15-20 hrs a week)? I just got hired and my dad files taxes as Head of Household with me as his dependent.

Second question: I am married, my husband overstayed his 6 month visa permission so he is illegal now but we married (3 months ago) before it expired (1 month ago). If he leaves to his country and re-enters the US he would have another 6 month temporary stay. We have not started adjusting his status but plan on doing so pretty soon. He is not working and he doesn't have an SSN. My father is already claiming me as a dependent. Can I claim my husband as a dependent?

More questions: would I wait until I begin to adjust my husbands status to claim him? Would my dad stop claiming me as a dependent? Any other info is welcome! Thanks!

I am applying for my marriage license and it asks both my fiance and I for

A. first name

B. middle name

C. last name.

There is one first name (no middle name) and TWO last names on my birth certificate. My dad's last name then my mother's. My social security card ALSO has my first name and TWO last names BUT my driver's license and passport only have one last name (my father's). Does this mean that on my MARRIAGE LICENSE APPLICATION I write both last names for "C" ?

My fiance has a first, middle, and two last names as well on his birth certificate. Do I write in BOTH last names for him as well in secion "C"?

ALSO.... on my birth certificate my parents only have ONE last name, yet HIS parents have two last names on his birth certificate... Is it okay if for my parent's LAST NAME I only write ONE last name and for his parents I write TWO last names?

and at last.... When we sign the marriage certificate how are we supposed to sign? Do I sign my first name and two last names? Does he sign his first, middle, and two last names?? or are we supposed to sign our NEW last names...?

Hello everyone! I adopted two kittens, a brother and sister, from a friend about 3 weeks ago. I am a new cat owner and am trying to learn everything I can about my new babies! They are approx 10 weeks old, the boy is 4 lb and the girl is 3 lb. I just got them vaccinated and the vet applied a complementary topical Advantage II treatment on both of them. The injection for both was a FVRCP + Calici (series 1 of 3) and they ate a Drontal Feline 18.2 mg tablet. The place was extremely packed so the assistant didnt get to answer all my questions /: she seemed in a real hurry.

1. What are the medications for and what type of worms does it kill?

2. What are common side effects from the vaccinations and which should i watch out for?

3. I think my boy keeps farting without making sound... Is this possible? Its stinky /:

4. They applied the liquid topical medication behind the neck above the shoulders so that they cant lick it, obviously its toxic. My kittens love and always groom each other so I have separated them so that they don't lick the medication off of each other... How long before I can have them in the same room again so they can play and interact?

I have never had a cat before and will be adopting a kitten in a couple of days for my birthday!!! WUT WUT!! My family is off on vacation so currently its only my dad, my boyfriend and I at home (and they work)... so training the kitten will be a piece of cake. How do I introduce my mom, siblings, and 1 year old nephew to the new kitten when they get home from vacation all at once?? I know its a big family... Please help!! Also if you have any tips for a beginner let me know! Thanks!!

Hey guys my cousin from mexico just got her visitor's visa and passport from mexico to come visit me in Cali. We have family in Colorado and Illinois so im wondering if her 10 year visa with temporary stays of 6 months is good for all three states? In her interview she said she was going to see me here in Los Angeles.

Question: Is it ok if she enters to california by car and( at the immigration line they give her a stamp or seal,) and by car traveles to other states??

Question: if she can, is it okay if she leaves from illinois via airplane back to mexico? I remember that when you enter a different country they give you a little paper stapled to your passport and when you return they take it away. She wont have that since shes entering by car through california.

Question: how does she get that visa paper?

Question: if she doesnt have it and leaves via plane will they charge her a fee?

Hey guys I need help!! I'm I am not computer savy but I do have a basic understanding of how one works.

A couple of days ago my boyfriend was asking me questions about sending and receiving a package through UPS. Yesterday I logged onto my yahoo email on my desktop, went to my SPAM folder to delete everything and a UPS message caught my eye. You may already know whats coming next lol... This message said that my parcel was unable to deliver, that I could find my tracking number on the UPS website, OR I could view my package information by opening the attached file. I DID :( which turned out to be the famous UPS virus. I knew nothing about this virus until I began looking it up. All I could think to myself was "FAIL FAIL FAIL" lol. My computer turned off.

When I turn it on this happens:

- Once I log on OWNER my desktop background turns black and I cant see the desktop icons except for the recycle bin

- after that a bunch of waterfall stacked popups come up saying that my hard drive c needs fixing. another one pops up saying "click here to fix your hard drive". (I never clicked it)

- the start menu bar is visible including all the icons on the far right, but not the quick launch icons.

-the gadget bar doesn't open

-when I open the start menu I can't see icons such as "documents, control panel, printers, etc" on the right, nor can I see the "pin to start menu" programs. Only the "applications" arrow and the owner Picture.

-when I open the DOCUMENTS folder or any other folder nothing is visible!

I tried fixing it by downloading AVAST FREE ANTI-SPIWARE, ran a full scan, and it deleted one virus (Win32:Adware.gen) something like that...

Now when I turn on my desktop, the pop ups DON'T come up, the little notification in the corner saying that my hard drive need fixing is gone. The GADGET side bar opens yet unfortunately I still cant see the "quick launch" programs, when I open the start menu I don't see any other programs except for the OWNER picture on the left side and the "applications" tab on the right. All my documents/pictures/music is still gone (I read somewhere that this trojan does something to the computer and makes all your archives "hidden", if that's so how do I fix it?)

I downloaded WINDOWS ESSENTIALS and ran a complete scan. It detected all of these:

Did I get rid of the virus? Did I do it completely?

If not, how do I eliminate it? I've spent hours on the internet searching how to fix it, and I hope you can help.

Hey guys and gals.. I just bought a TI 84 PLUS calculator. It came with the 2 cables (1 for usb and the other idk, I'm assuming to connect to another calculator). It DID NOT come with the software cd i downloaded TI CONNECT off the internet.

My calculator also came with a bunch of pre-installed programs for which i have NO CLUE what they are used for. Can anyone tell me what all these programs are for, or of a website that can TEACH ME how to use them or how to use a TI 84P in general???

also, which ones do i REALLY NEED for calculus? How do I save them for later use or how do I delete them?? THANKS!

I took a pharmacy clerk class junior year and pharmacy technician class senior year and recieved my certificates. This was 2 years ago. This year I went back completed my internship hours at a hospital, applied and received my PT license!! The thing is, BECAUSE I TOOK THE CLASS 2 YEARS AGO I've forgotten almost all my drug generic and trade names... What do I do?? do it take the class all over again or is there some kind of way to study them all or what!??! Please help!! ok, so my mom and my dad have a huge age difference 36/54, not unusual in my family. Anyways i'm the oldest of four (2 girls 2 boys, youngest brother is 9) and my mom had never worked before until i was in middle school. i kind of stayed in charge of the house and my brothers and sisters, then i got tired of being the "mother" of the house and being hated by my siblings... so i stopped helping out in the house... didn't go so well.. anyways i graduated high school with honors etc etc got married moved out shalala no kids yet blah blah..

ever since my mom started working she feels she's more "free" she saves up money goes on trips BY HERSELF (takes ONE of us every once in a while) sort of helps with the house hold bills but she doesn't cook dinner, or clean, or do my little brothers laundry, or w.e. i don't mind it about me, but i mean, for my dad who gets up at 3 in the morning to go to work... and gets home past 4pm.. idk.. like i don't want to talk poop about my mom but this is the truth!! i mean she feels free to do whatever she wants, she gets home late from work and bosses everyone around... like when i used to be here and i'd clean the house she'd get home and nag about what WASNT clean, any little spec ... she fights a LOT with my dad and manipulates him into letting her do whatever she wants or she goes around saying she's going to divorce him whenever she gets mad.. for example if she wants to go to a party saturday night, she'll say "who wants to come with me i'm going whether u follow or not" and she'll leave, with or without her kids or husband. my mom and dad fight a lot!!!!... one of my brothers became a rebel got bad grades punked people around was a bully, etc etc.. my sister started going out with a lot of guys and yeah.., she's now 17 and pregnant and my mom kicked her out of the house... my dad tried to prevent it but he's old and sick with heart disease diabetes blood pressure problems etc etc.. aaghh he cant deal with my moms tantrums and selfishness so he just lets it all go. my mom said that if my sister came back she would leave.. it's official, everyone "knows" they're getting a divorse.. but she doesn't submit any divorce demans and STILL LIVES IN THE HOUSE.. like she kicked out my sister and now stays in her room.. mom and dad sleep in different rooms and she won't leave. and she bosses everyone around and talks crap about me and my sister any chance she gets. meeee because i her A-grade daughter married a mexican moved to mexico and bla bla bla, WE'RE ALL MEXICANSSSS i dont get it.. and she talks crap about my sister all proud saying, i kicked her out, and things like that..

hola, mi esposo y yo nos saldremos de casa de papas.. no tenemos hijos y vivimos en azcapotzalco mexico d.f. ya tengo mi lista de cosas materialisticas (focos, pasta de dientes, cucharas, etc) pero quisiera saber mas o menos cuanto gastariamos al mes en gas, comida, electricidad etc... no somos tragones, y ambos trabajamos asi que casi no estariamos en casa para gastar luz (excepto fines de semana).. entonces seria desayuno, lonche, y cena. repito, no hay hijos.

ambos ganamos bien, pero me gustaria al menos tener una idea de cuanto seria AL MES... asi no gastare exageradamente.

so long story short.. im moving in with my boyfriend next month, in june. we've been thinking about it and have talked to his parents about it in beginning of april when i went to visit for 10 days... they live 3 hours away (by plane).. we all talked about it and planned out how it would work out because i would be moving in with them, the whole family... they were excited about and completely supported.. now. today actually. my boyfriend began the conversation during dinner time and they totally flipped. they yelled at him and told him he was an idiot and to "see where you put her, because not here." we are completely disappointed their reaction after all the support they gave us. the plan was: he would come visit my family and when he returned, i returned with him.the idea was to have everything settled with his family first then mine only because my parents are very religious,strict, and conservative. he has his career job all settled and im about to start school on my career but we don't want to wait another 2 years to move in so i would rather start school there. what do we do now? and how do i tell my parents im moving out.. in a month. my mother is sooo down to prevent me from boarding the plane or even avoid speaking to me until them, worst case scenario... WHAT DO I DO?? help?

I fell in love with a man and we have been dating for over a year. He has asked me to be his wife and I more than gladly have accepted. The thing is he's here on a visa. Yes hes mexican please no racist comments. I am also mexican and a California permanent resident and a citizen. He wants to get a job but we don't know how to do it. Once we marry it will take about 3-5 (usually 5) years for him to become what? a resident or citizen? and after we are married is he legal to work even though he is not actually legal legal or are there restrictions or what can we do? i have a loot of questions... first of all is on minimum wage regular pay how much is taken from a two week paycheck.. say its 7.50x40x2= 600... how much would be taken saying you have a spouse as a dependent.. even though u probably cant live on that... what would be your semimonthly tax deduction? ooh.. this is in Los Angeles County, California.. well.. minimum wage is almost everywhere.. but here.. help?! thnx again.
