My 4 year old son has a diagnosis of Autism PDD NOS and ADHD and a developmental language disorder. His Behavioral MD prescribed him Ritalin. I'm not crazy about putting my 4 year old on meds that strong but MD says it will help him. Looking for advice from other mothers in a similar situation. Thank you.

My son is 3 years old and was sent to the child psychologist for an evaluation for autism. He does not communicate with me only uses gestures and points. If he does talk, he is mimicking what I say like a little parrot. He spins in circles and lines up all his toys. I know there is an issue but what can I expect as far as testing? I think my son might have Autism or Sensory Processing Disorder (SID). He speaks very little, has a poor appetite, covers his ears, smacks his ears, walks on his tippy toes, and spends a lot of tme stacking and lining things up. I need some advice. After a long and harsh divorce I was awarded custody of my 4 monthd old baby. My ex wanted an abortion and denied my son. Now that he has been proven by 99.9999% to be the dad, he told the judge he would be "dad of the year." I guess he lied to the judge to make himself look good. He left for Iraq in September. He showed up 2 hours late and stayed for 10 minutes knowing he wouldn't see his son until the end of 2009 after deployment. I get he can't be around, not that he would even if he was here, but are his fingers broken? He doesn't call, e-mail, write a letter nothing. He never checks on his son. Is he really a loser like he appears? Was he really lying just to look good in court? Not even his mother asks to see her grandson? I don't get it.....any advice??

My son is 9 weeks old. His father has seen him once for 15 min. He lives a ways away but he doesnt call or anything to check on him. He brags to everyone about what a good dad he is and shows pics of my son, but does NOTHING!!!!!!! How do you deal with such a loser? Besides believe in karma......

My son is 9 weeks old. His father saw him once for 15 minutes when he was 4 weeks old. He lives a good distance away but doesn't even call to check on him or anything. He chats on his MySpace everyday but cant find time to call and check on his son. This is really bothering me emotionally and I feel bad for my son. Why does he act like this? How to you deal?

and twice this last week has lost his bladder. He lays down or sits up and his bladder just lets loose. Is it because he's old or do I need to take him to the vet?

I am being induced in the morning due to preeclampsia. I have protein in my urine, my kidneys are secreting uric acid into my blood, and my blood pressure is high. I am nervous but yet excited. Doc said today my cervix was thinned and i was dilated to 2-3 cm. Any advice?!?! Thanks!
