  • My cat keeps biting me, what can I do?

Jewels is a large desexed persian of seven years of age. We think she has an impulse control problem, she often shocks herself, I have seen the look on her face as if to say "did I do that?". She swarms me in the kitchen at times and bites me on the ankles and lower legs when she wants food, attention or a cuddle. This started when her life partner Geordie died eighteen months ago, and now has become a worry. Recently we had three weeks of abysmal rain and Jewels hates rain, so I was bitten a great deal in this time. I am worried but I do not believe in hitting her, but stern words don't seem to work. I refuse to have her put down, there has to be an answer somehow.

  • Some people are very very wealthy, doesn't it follow that we therefore must have poor people?

regarding my questions about welfare payments I have been astonished at the harsh responses from some people who apparently have never been ill or really unable to obtain work. I think that in an unequal economic world situation that the poor also have their rights and their place on the planet. Do wealthy people depend on poor people to remain wealthy. From where i sit that seems to be the case, would like to hear your opinions.

  • who should receive welfare payments?

ive had a lot of response to my question about when will the new rudd government increase welfare payments as we have galloping inflation over here. A great deal of comment is negative about people who are "given" welfare payments. I work but I'm also disabled with atypical motor neuron disease, so who should get welfare?

  • When will the new Australian Government increase welfare and pension payments?

I work in Welfare areas and live in a small counrty town that is remote and very expensive to live in. The greens Leader Bob Brown said that he wanted to see pensions and welfare payments rise by at least 35 dollars per week to catch up with increases in living costs, as we have soaring inflation over here. My concern is that nothing has occured as of yet. As an Australian citizen and member of the Australian Labour Party I am unsettled that this wasn't attended to before now, surely the true costs of these unnecessary hardships needs to be taken into account. I hope MR Rudd listens to Bob Brown because I have the greatest faith is his personal push for equality and so far I think Kevin Rudd has done exceptionally well. He states that Centerlink policy will be ammended to give equity to welfare recipients but my argument is when does the money start to flow?

IT costs five dollars for a kilo of apples, mothers need to feed their children well, but that costs money. Mr Rudd? Comments?

  • can i sell my points?

the info says I can brag about having so many points, i thought we had some benefit with points? Anyone else think its a bit of a rort?

I do it because i like to be useful and like to meet friends and that's a good thing. Im happy enough with that. Even so I should be able to use the points for something, even for a charity donation, yahoo makes money from the site so why not?
