Endless Boot Loop in Windows 7?
This is racking my brains, I've tried everything I can think of to fix this.
Basically, the computer running windows 7 will boot to one point then re-boot itself. I have run ChkDsk (check disk) and I have scanned the functionality of the hard drive. All the hardware works, so I think its a problem with windows. If anyone can recommend me a way to reset the windows files, please, all suggestions are helpful.

3 AnswersRap and Hip-Hop9 years agoCan E-SATA be connected to a 6GB/S SATA Connection?
My case has a front I/O with an E-SATA in it. Can the E-SATA cord be connected to my 6GB/S SATA port or does it go lower to 3GB/S
I'm pretty sure it can go to a 6GB/S port, I just want to make sure.
2 AnswersDesktops9 years agoQuestion about installing case fans?
I know how to install case fans, but this is the first time I've had to install a case fan into a fan controller. I know that fans can power themselves through the fan headers on the motherboard. However, in the fan controller, the case plug has two of the three pins, but still has room for the third to go in.
So my question is, if I use a fan controller, do I also have to use molex cables to power the fans?
Thanks.
2 AnswersAdd-ons9 years agoAre multiple cores better than core clock for video editing and 3d?
I know high clocked dual core processors are better than quad core processors on games because games run better on two cores. But for video editing and 3d, is it better to have multiple cores or a higher core clock.
I'm debating between a AMD 8 core and an i5 or an i7.
1 AnswerAdd-ons9 years ago"Hard drive cannot be found" error when booting from windows XP disk?
My friend recently gave me his laptop to repair. He recently encountered an error when starting windows xp he would receive a message stating 'unmountable boot disk' and windows would restart itself.
I researched the problem, and found I needed to run chkdsk (check disk) from windows recovery console. So I inserted my windows xp pro sp3 disk and set the BIOS to boot from disk.
However, during the installation setup (the blue screen you get when you first begin the xp disk boot) at the end I get an error saying 'hard drive cannot be found, xp setup cannot continue' and the it would prompt me to leave the installation.
I am stuck now, i really want to get his laptop fixed because he is in a tight situation with the economy today. If anyone could tell me a alternate way to get windows recovery console on a windows xp laptop, I would appreciate it very much.
Any help is appreciated, thank you kind people.

3 AnswersDesktops10 years agoare CrossFireX Motherboards Different from SLI Motherboards?
I'm looking to buy a new motherboard, and a lot that I see say CrossFireX Ready, but says nothing about SLI. I look at the filter options for motherboards on some sites, and some have filter by SLI and filter by CrossFireX ready. Aren't they the same? All you need is 2 PCI-E x16 right?

The mother board that I'm ordering ASUS M4A88T-V EVO has 2 PCI Express 2.0 lanes on it. The graphics card that I'm order (AMD Radeon 6770) requires a PCI Express 2.1 slot. Is PCI Express 2.1 backwards compatible with 2.0 ?
