  • Catholic's difference from other christians?

How i Catholocism different from other denominations of Christianity (protestant, Evangelical, Baptist, etc.). From what I understand, it's mostly just a stricter interpretation of the Bible, but I could be wrong.

  • Buddhism- temple terms?

I recently visited a buddhist temple, and I forgot the name of the part of the temple where they go over the precepts and everything. Also, is there an actual name for the table in the back with all the relics?

    http://www.featurepics.com/online/Buddhist-Temple-...

It looked roughly like that, I'm not sure how to upload my pics

  • liberals, i thought you were more accepting of religions?

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/06/15/beyond-...

Basically, the average dislike of a mormon candidate has decreased when compared to 2008 and now, but with liberals, the percentage of distrust has nearly doubled.

What happened to the party of "acceptance" and "equality"?

  • best anti virus software for windows?

What is the best anti virus software or at least the one you use? Currently I use Norton, but it seems to miss things a lot (especially tracking cookies) and I want more reliability. The safe web thing also acts weird (told me sites were safe and later catch a trojan virus). My main problem seems to be with tracking cookies. I'm mostly looking for one to download and not actually buy a disk.

I heard Mcafee is good, can anyone vouche for them? I'm not terribly on a budget, but cheap would be nice (I think one year of Norton costed me about $60).

And please don't send me a link to software review websites because I'm a tech moron (don't know what cookies are). Basically, I'm going to judge by the amount of thumbs up you get.

    Thank you in advance

  • Ron Paul people explain something to me?

All you Ron Paul people claim he is the "real" candidate, so explain why HE is seeking the GOP nomination. According to polls, he is highest amongst young voters, and they traditionally vote Democrat. Since his audience is most likely to vote Democrat, shouldn't he try for their nomination, not the Republicans? Maybe he's just a mooch trying to take as much money as he can. Maybe he's not "real" and exactly like every other candidate. Maybe he has no intention of actually being president, just being a leech that promises false hope.

And I'm also talking about 2008 when he had a choice, not only now when the Democrat candidate will be the sitting president.

  • I would like a vote on this...?

Ban all little kids from yahoo answers politics.

Their whiny, spoiled brats, that can't take it as well as they give it. They report you for anything and everything that hurts their feelings.

    Who votes yes on this?

  • trig uses in microbiology?

I'm majoring in microbiology and want to work dealing with pathogens and creating vaccines (maybe work for the CDC or a pharmaceutical company). My problem is that I suck at trig. So I'm wondering if it actually has any use in microbiology when it comes to developing vaccines. Is their a part of microbiology that would need this, or is the trig requirement basically useless and really only a formality to get into higher maths that I do need.

By the way, I'm good at basically every other part of math, just not trig.

  • american involvement in war?

Can someone please explain how were suppose to do this

In some wars (WW 1 & 2 for example) the world asks for America's help and if we show up late, the say it's our fault for allowing so many deaths.

On the other side of the spectrum (most notably Vietnam, Korea, and the Middle East) people complain when we do get involved, saying were acting like the worlds police.

Is this just hind sight? Is this some sort of bi-polar sickness to the world? Is there any middle ground where we don't get blamed?

    Just explain the double standard.

  • why are all the weird questions always show up around this time?

It's like every night from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. (pacific time) everyone asks weird, non-politics related questions. Are their no night owls anymore?

  • Someone explain this to me...?

One of the major complaints I've heard about WW1 and 2 concerning Americas involvement, is that the war probably would have ended sooner and less lives would have been lost if America acted sooner.

Later in Vietnam, Korea, and the Middle East, America is trying to take action quickly, and everyone says that were trying to become the worlds police and asking why we don't just mind our own business.

Is this just hating America for being America, or is their a real reason for the bipolar nature of other people and countries

  • Math Brain science neurological study?

A few years ago, one of my math teachers said that most people that are good at one part of math, usually are bad at other parts (ex. People good at trig are bad with algebra in vise versa). Is their any proof behind this, like some sort of neurological study on the matter. If it helps, she ellaborated by mentioning it usually depended on the persons ability to visualize pictures.
