US/Ohio: Currently valid ID legally necessary to get money from bank?
My wife had a situation with two different banks which would not give her cash back because of an expired drivers license. In the first, she didn't hassle because she was grateful to learn that her license was expired, plus she just went around the corner and used the ATM. But the second involved her neighbor, whose license has been expired for a year or so (she's too poor to own a car) and who does not have an ATM card. Also, neighbor only has the hospital birth certificate, not the official notarized one, so they didn't want to give her an ID even though she had plenty of other identification.
I would think this was just the bank misbehaving, but it was a bank and a credit union. The credit union cited "a new law". I haven't found any evidence of this law on the Internet. Note that I am not talking about needing ID to OPEN an account (that's been since the so-called Patriot Act), but needing one to get money out. Can anyone cite such a stupid law, and who was responsible for it, if it exists?

I'm writing radio ad copy for a concert. The first word that comes to mind for this piece is "colorful", but I obviously can't use that (nor "soulful"). Does anyone who knows this piece have one or two words which "nail" what the piece is?
3 AnswersClassical1 decade agoWho was composer Nicola Donatelli?
He wrote 8 band pieces in a manuscript baritone part book found at Case Western Reserve University. A theater orchestra arrangement by him was published by Sam Fox in Cleveland in 1924. Western Reserve University apparently didn't have a band 1880-1920, so he wasn't the director (I had our archivist look for him.). He's not in Rehrig's Heritage Enclyclopedia of Band Music, Grossman's History of Music in Cleveland, or any other reference work I've been able to find. He may be related to Vincenzo Donatelli (represented by 1 piece in the same ms.). That's all I know. Does anyone have anything to add?
3 AnswersClassical1 decade agoElectric baseboard clicking: solutions and costs?
We have electric baseboard heat (220 v., fin-type, not fluid filled), and the unit in the bedroom clicks a lot whenever it goes on, which, being the bedroom, is very annoying. It's about 8 ft. long.
1. Is there a way to fix it without replacing the unit?
2. If not, would a fluid-filled baseboard fix things?
3. If (2), then what might I expect to pay for purchase and professional installation in the NE Ohio area?
And are programmable thermostats available for these units, and at what cost?
