  • omg...morning after pill?

    Extremely fertile...keep that in mind.

10 days ago I had a medication abortion. Started my bc on Sunday and have been taking antibiotics. (Doxy and Flagyl). I am schedule for an IUD on the 6th. Tonight me and the hubby had sex, AND then I read that antibiotics interfere w/ bc. OMG.......ugh...

Question: tomorrow should we get a plan b or morning after pill? We are both extremely fertile obviously. We have a 10m/o and I miscarried 3 months ago AND I was just 6 weeks pregnant and I was taking bc (yes responsibly)....should we get emergency contraception?

  • The Binding of Isaac ( I am sure we have looked at this before.)?

In the "Binding of Isaac" when Abraham "heard the voice of God" and he was attempting to kill his child in the name of God, this is accepted today to be truth and that God actually blessed him, etc. etc. and it was all about obeying his command...

But if a person today where to bind and try to kill his child, because he heard the voice of God, he would more than likely be diagnosed as a schizophrenic and sent to a long term mental instituation or prison?

Or when my grandma tells me she hears God speak to her, I twist my lips as if to say "yeah right, looks like Grandma took communion to early"?

    Really straight up answers please...

  • Is God.......................?

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?

    Then he is not omnipotent.

Is he able, but not willing?

    Then he is malevolent.

Is he both able and willing?

    Then whence cometh evil?

Is he neither able nor willing?

    Then why call him God?

  • If God knows everything...then?

How can he "trust" me to do the right thing? I just read a question that said "Dont betray God's trust by repeating a certain pattern"...but how can he trust me, if he already knows my short comings?

I want a real answer that you thought of yourself. Please, don't give me some made up crap...real honest thoughts please.

  • What are you thoughts on the tree of life?

I have read and I have concluded (which is weird since I consider myself agnostic) that the tree of life was not actually a tree but a book of knowledge that God did not want us to read from and once we read we would be powerful. He wanted to keep us basically dumb and whimsical..but we became "enlightened".

Also that Noah's ark was actually a vessel in which he collected animal DNA and not actually animals.

and That Enoch was actually abducted hence "he walked into heaven"...

and few other things...but I mean this actually makes more sense to me than what the bible actually says...Could it be that the stories have been dumbed down to fairy tales of less significance? Or that we read the "bible" "upside down" so to speak?

  • So why DID Jesus have to come to Earth?

I know you guys are going to give me the obvious, die for our sins, blah blah blah...

But WHY did he have to come to Earth and then go back...Why didnt life just stop then? Why didn't he take his followers back then? Why wouldn't he just stay here and lead people to God?

  • Dont you think its funny that.....??????

I am an agnostic and I stand by that...

But I find it funny that when Christian tells me "god loves you" and that he is this wonderful being, you read the bible and its less of him being so compassionate and more of him being a jealous god who is full of wrath and anger.

Who came up with these characteristics about him and his personality when the bible clearly states how he is? There some passages, i know that says he loves us...but more so does it talk about death and other things that should happen to us if we are disobedient.

In addition, Do you also find it crazy how most christians believe they are going to "heaven" where ever that is...but yet the bible says most will not?

Why do christians take from the bible and create their own meaning when the meaning is clearly there?

  • So....Christians....just had a thought...?

If animals have no rational thinking...then what do we do about people who are mentally handicapped or mentally incognisant?

Do they go to hell too?

in addition...if God is so perfect and created all things, why would he create a person with mental illness or that lack the ability to take care of himself?

If these questions have been asked before I am sorry, don't chew me out, just answer the question or dont.

  • atheists and agnostics.....?

Do you find it as annoying as I do when you ask a question about God, christians go to the bible and pull something, when the whole point is to PROVE what they are reading is real? Not just read it to me...but prove w/o a doubt its real...

  • .......just asked a question about hell and ....?

The answers I got were outrageous...so if the soul can feel, then why do we need this physical skin? Like gtfoh, someone said I was unsure of myself...I'm actually agnostic and I stand by that. I live in the now. Some other person said hell is a special fire? Now y'all just making **** up.

My question didn't warrent an answer for myself...who even said we had a soul?

  • Dilemmas and decisions...wtd?

Ok...let me start off by first saying that I love my mom...but she is definitely not the sweetest person on the planet. There has been countless abuse through out my life and everyone in my family has always sort of "condoned it". well noone wants to get involved. She has beat me up, blacked my eye when I was 3, she didnt raise me and she even once and told the police I used drugs and had guns...none of which was true. Through out it all each time she has needed me I have always ran to help her. I have always wanted her approval...just a simple hug or some love would suffice...It has yet to actually happen and anytime she has done something for me it has always been stipulated. Never has she given me one thing that just came from her heart. In school I dressed like a bum and she was always, always pristene. I know I am rambling but be patient with me, I just want to clarify this relationship...I can not tell you how many times I have been punched in the face in front of friends, cursed out, etc.

so i recently just had a 3 month old daughter. She is my absolute pride and joy. I am 27 going on 28 and I have learned that what happened to me is not ok. It is my duty to protect my daughter and never to hurt her. I am still dealing with some of the hurt but I will continue to seek therapy and read books to further my growth as to not has this kind of relationship with her. while I was pregnant my mother never really called me and she even once told me she felt sorry for me and my baby. She was mad because she wanted to name my daughter Cleopatra and I told her that was ridiculous. She did not come to my baby shower or get anything for the baby..So during this time, i developed alot of "serrogate mothers and grandmothers"...so many people stepped in and played the role I needed...in particular an older coworker and my little sisters mother (same dad, different moms).

Now I have been knowing "J" my sisters mom, since I was 6. When I was going through alot of these terrible things with my mother "J" was definitely there for me. Once my mother put me out and I had absolutely noone to turn to except my sister and her mom and they took me in. I was 21 at the time. So when I got pregnant "J" completely assumed the role I needed at the time and she considers my daughter, her granddaughter...

Moving forward, my mom saw this on my FB page, where "J" made a comment something like "look at my grand baby" my mother has NEVER commented, only my fiance's mom and "J"...My mother saw this and went into a frenzy she sent me terrible texts and said kiss her *** and I am a stupid ***** and thats not my mother and **** you...etc. Of course this hurt and now my fiance does not want our daughter around my mother (he is in afghanistan). He has seen the hurt she has caused me and his sole duty from day one has been to protect me. Matter of fact we are completely protective of each other because we had rough lives. He is the first person so stand up for me regarding my mother and he is the first one to not say "well that still your mother"...

My mother recently got into some legal woes regarding her business and there is a bill that my mom has and my family was supposed to contribute to it starting in July. I said I would give $60 a month. after all this I just dont want to do it. I have blocked my mothers number from my phone and I just dont want to be bothered with her any longer and it is long over due. Should I still contribute to this bill that my mother owes and help her out in her time of need along with the rest of the family (whom she oftens curses out as well) or should I say screw it?

  • Are we raising our daughters and spoiling our sons?

After reading an article which was discussing the male and female upbringing, I pose this question. This article discussed how we are a little harder on our female children and they are expected to behave in a particular way, get good grades, help more with the chores, etc. While our sons sometimes are not inforced with the same rules and their disobedience is often chucked up to "boys will be boys.."

I thought this was interesting...and it began to turn the wheels in my head. In the home, is it that was spoil our boys or is it the oldest, no matter the gender that gets the responsibility? so is it a gender thing or an age thing?

    Thoughts?
